Purchased in 2007 by The Zockoll Group, the founding parent of Dyno-Rod (1963-2004), 0800 Handyman offers a full service from Handymen and Decorators to Electricians and Plumbers. Our business has been using 0800 Handyman for longer than I can remember - for those small jobs which it can be difficult to get a workman: general handyman work, plumbing, electrical, decorating, and more. They supply the right workman at short notice - sometimes the same day as the initial call to them. Pricing is simple, clear and sensible. No job too small - so far no job too big. They are always our first call for a handyman - we don't need to make a second call to anyone else.

Good and quick service.
Handyman appeared on time as per the agreed time slot. Repaired what was to be repaired, quick and didn't request any involvement from my side. Colin listened to my concerns and took all into consideration while repairing damaged pump . I am very satisfy with Colin East

I had a terrible experience with…
I had a terrible experience with 0800Handyman. Despite asking for a very simple and straightforward job - hanging artwork- the “handyman” drilled a hole far higher than I requested and then hung the art by the frame, rather than the rope at the back, thereby causing the frame to warp and snap within a few weeks. Honestly, the work couldn’t have been less professional (and costly to me). The company apologised but no offer of refund. Look elsewhere, they’re not worth your time, patience or cash.

Hopelessly overpriced - turn up without tools
Hopelessly overpriced. Turned up without required tools to do a pre-advised job. Had to return with tools another time. I was charged twice (!!) for the service - allegedly took 5 hours to do a straight replacement of a cooker-hood.
When I pointed this out I was told the invoice would go to a debt collection service if I didn't pay immediately.
Daylight robbery, stay well clear.

On this occasion the handyman attended to fit the extractor fan and chimney that was ordered by yourself and found that this replacement chimney was not a like for like replacement. The chimney needed to be cut to size with stainless steel cutters and we agreed with you a return visit to complete the job.
During the first visit, our electrician fitted the extractor fan and for the reasons already stated we agreed with you that he would return with the relevant cutter before he was able to fit the chimney this he did and you were only charged at our handyman rate for this second visit and not as you say, charged twice.
