Bought the Turbo Mesh electronic drum kit. Instructions OK to follow, with patience, and it fitted together neatly. Sounds good through the extra headphones I bought - because I'd heard the ones that ship with the kit aren't that great.

Lucky I bought them, as there were no headphones included in my box!

Customer service was great. Every contact I had was with the same person who helped me a whole month to find and fix the problem I was having. He stayed in touch till the problem was solved.

OK functioning budget e-drums, although lacking in quality. The real bad experience is with support and parts. Their support is horrible - they basically just does everything they can to not help with anything. It's the worst "support" I've ever experienced - shame on them! Then there's parts availability - that's practically non existent.

I have recently purchased the 8 piece nitro mesh drum kit with the extra drum and cymbal to make it a 10 piece set. All the parts came as promised and they all fit together perfectly. I'm so excited to own this product.

Bought an Alesis Vortex Wireless 2 USB Keytar…

Their patch editing software is incompatible with any of the currently sold Macs and the situation is no better on Windows.

The software will only work with a macOS version that is 3 major revisions old and in 32-bit mode.

All new Macs are M1-based and require 64 bit, so your only option is emulation.

Getting an M1 Mac to emulate an Intel Mac running macOS 10.9 is theoretically possible, but a major exercise in frustration.

Emulating a Windows machine (2 major versions old) is easier, but that then leads to USB control problems because only one machine at a time can access the USB device, requiring a restart of the Virtual Machine to ensure it actually connects.

It's extremely frustrating, slow, complex and impractical.

Alesis' advice: don't upgrade. Tough luck if you have a Mac newer than 3 years ago. "we're working on it" they say, but it's been over 18 months since they posted that message with not a single update to the software.

Would not buy another Alesis device after this experience.

I purchased this kit at over £900 and within 5 months 2 of the 12" toms ceased to work this is not through heavy hitting or overplay as I use lightweight sticks and don't drum heavy.
I notified their tech team 2 separate times about replacements as under warranty and I have heard nothing. DO NOT BUY FROM ALESIS

The Command kit is ok. Unlike the statements on their website, while there is capacity to expand and add drums, no-one will sell you them, including Alesis. Customer advised expansion Nitro packs were compatible, when bought they were not. Lying or incompetent and uncaring? You decide. Other, better (kit quality and customer service) drum companies are plentiful.

Just purchased this kit and very disappointed. Money is tight and I had been saving for a long time to buy this. The good points are the pedals and toms. However the hi-hat and crash symbal are barely audible and really take the enjoyment out of playing. Spent ages trying to tweak things with my drum monitor, but impossible to find a good balance. With headpohones, it does sound a bit better, but not helpful as I tend not to use them much. Will never buy Alesis again.

Alesis make great instruments. I recently purchased A VI61 MIDI Keyboard for live performances and it is of exceptional quality, the design gives you almost unlimited flexibility in your sets.

Deducting one star because the software that you need to update the firmware for Mac is so old that it is no longer supported by Catalina so there's no way around it, you have to use Windows to do this!

A deal breaker if you only use Mac, but I guess buying a keyboard and expecting good software is like wearing a condom and expecting children.

TURBO MESH KIT

I have just purchased this kit and fully assembled it correctly, I know how to change program volume and have done but the hi hat (open) crash (not as bad) and ride are barely audible. It is a known issue as I have seen posts relating to this from 11 months ago on "getsatisfaction. com/alesis/topics/turbo-mesh-kit-low-volume-cymbals" where people are having to modify their product to make it work properly. I have tried the toms cables in the cymbals and the volume is correct. Are you going to fix this or is there a firmware upgrade I am unaware of. I will be leaving reviews for other buyers as its a huge undertaking putting this together for a child who wants to do something creative to be let down by an inoperable product.
