Alpha Cars Avis 

We recently booked 2 x airport runs to and from Heathrow through Alpha cars, we were picked up by the lovely driver “Paul C”, nice and comfortable roomy car with loads of room for our large suitcases! Very calm and relaxed drive and Paul was nice and friendly, we were so pleased that we contacted Alpha and asked if it would be possible for the same driver to also do our pick up from Heathrow, which he kindly agreed to even though he doesn’t normally do weekends! Very reasonable price and would highly recommend Alpha Cars.

I phoned Alpha cars on the 15th march and the 17th march And spoke to the operator i wanted to book an eight seater mini bus to go from the wellington arms hotel back to Basingstoke with a number of drops around the Basingstoke area. I was told the price and I Was told that i could book the vehicle but they could not Guarantee the driver would tern up ( due to being self employed ) which was not a lot of use to me and the the rest of the passengers I was told that if booked the 8 seater and they did not have one available they would supply 2 cars and would be charged for 2 separate journeys this is illegal if i book a vehicle i have a verbal contract with the company and some one needs to speak to this company also the phone operator was very rude to me

I've been transported to and from Gatwick Airport by Alpha Cars twice and they were very prompt in picking up (even on a return flight when its always a bit hit and miss timewise). Great prices, good vehicles and pleasant drivers.

Awful company. Have used several times and always late. The last time they never turned up. Called several times and they couldn't care less. I will never use again.

Worst taxi company I've ever used. The driver kept hanging up on me when I was trying to find out where he was waiting (which wasn't where we agreed), the cost was double the quote I was given over the phone, and he was being incredibly rude the whole journey, shouting at me for not knowing where he was waiting for me! An absolute atrocity of a taxi service.

Terrible experience this morning with Pakistani driver! He overcharged me from Oakridge to South Ham, 3 miles journey for £20, instead of £10. Very rude, not turning the lights on on arrival, not coming out to open the door or take luggage, so I can not see where I am entering in… not a common sense!!!The car inside was freezing and saving on heating!! Only he was happy and smily to overcharged me! Total disrespect! AVOID this driver with EA22 GBZ BLACK SKODA OCTAVIA

Shocking, joke of a company. Couldn't find a book in the library.

As a regular customer of Alpha i understand very well that they charge an anticipated fare to my account and then the real fare is taken. However last night I was charged in this way and an additional charge od 90p was also taken seperately. I dont know why and when I rang to ask the operator could not convince me this was normal practice either...made up an explanation as he went along! Its only 90p but thats not the point. How many others have they done this to? Subtle extras, insignificant amounts but still a rip off! All adds up to theft! Please check your bank statements... blatant and so so wrong! Come on Alpha .... not cool! 🤬

This is the 4th time this company has left me stranded. Twice I’ve booked a taxi to my house for an early trip to catch a train and come out the house after the phone call to see the car driving away. Twice I’ve been left at Liverpool South Oarkway train station late at night either because they couldn’t get a driver (for a pre-booked pickup) or because they left 2 minutes after my allotted pickup time even though I’d texted the driver to say I’d just arrived. Fuming.

Beyond useless. Wanted to put zero stars but couldn’t. Took money and left us stranded, do not use unless you have comfy walking shoes on!!!!

Daughter booked taxi for when finished work. Did not arrive so phoned told 10 mins still no show. Waited over an hour. What a joke of a company.

Pity I could not rate as Zero.

Twice I have prebooked with this company via the app, once 1 week ahead, and again 1 day ahead and receive a email cancellation 2 hours before the pickup time.

Disgusting!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I will certainly not be trying to use them again.

I wouldn’t even give one star if it was my choice!!! To go 1.6 miles across Horsham it cost £21!!! Absolute con artists, it doesn’t say it will cost £7 each drop en route when you book, yet a direct route from my friends house with a couple of stops cost £21- And they were late, joke!!!

The worst taxi company ever! Let’s you book for a cab but will let you wait for another quarter to half an hour. If only there’s another taxi service in Basingstoke, we won’t be using it again! This is just frustrating that it happens over and over again to lots of people. Disgusting.

Booked a cab 7 days in advance. It was summarily cancelled 10 minutes before pickup, leaving my wife and I, both elderly, having to walk 3 miles home along an unlit road late on a Friday night. Do not under any circumstances use this disgraceful and unscrupulous company. I shall be pursuing this with the licensing authorities.

Booked a taxi for 6am through their so-called app. All confirmed.

On the day no sign 10mins after.

Call them to be told it hadn’t been dispatched and would be at least another 20 mins “due to school run”.

No notification from useless app.

Don’t trust Alpha- they really don’t give a toss.

No wonder they’re rated as ‘bad’ - that’s generous.

This is a very crappy service provided. I booked the cab yesterday evening for 7 am today and no news till 6.58am and when I called them, they say “there is nothing available for the next 20mins due to school hours”..what the hell!! What’s the point of booking in Advance then ?the app also doesn’t show anything. Never booking again. Horrible service.

Just have to write this due to I have never met a wannabe "Karen" as a driver.
Was on the 3rd of January 2023 with the driver called Deborah with the plate number 501 YH14 ZKB, what a racist Karen due to I was speaking on my home language while entering the car she became offensive and so rude from no ware. Saying that in UK it's mandatory using seatbelts in other countries she doesn't now.
Always with an attitude so rude for no apparent reason!
When we shut the door we just said yes we now it's mandatory to use seatbelts just as in our country but why she was acting like that , answer to that because people from other countries don't respect rules in UK.

Really sad when we live and respect all UK rules and have to deal with an Karen like this so racist and rude.

Was given a fixed quote from Gatwick Airport to my home. When I arrived at my destination I was told another price. When I questioned it was met with "I don't make the prices pay and get out" then when I checked my bank account even more money than I had originally been quoted had been taken out. Disgrace of a company and in hindsight of not knowing local taxi companies wish I had checked reviews and customer service. Never using again. Would have been 0 stars but not given the option so it's 1 only

Atrocious from beginning to end. Pre booked two airport trips, first one he arrived 15 minutes late which is forgivable, the return trip he arrived 1 hour 45 minutes late leaving us cold and stranded. A series of lies and blame passing by both the office call handlers and the driver then followed. No explanation and no apology from the driver who was rude throughout. Avoid this company.
