They are promoted as some of the best leather sneakers on the market. First of all, the sneakers are expensive. I have later found other brands with the same quality with much lower price. And believe me, I understand leather sneakers (leather inside-out, Margom soles etc.) The Archibald London sneakers are great quality, but the fit is horrible. They are nice to be kept on a shelf and admire the quality, but to wear them I would give 3/10. The width and the shape is strange. I am not sure which community advices were they following. All in all, will not buy again. I really wanted to love these. Expensive mistake.

I'd love to write a positive review about the sneakers I ordered 13 months ago. Unfortunately, I haven't received them and as each day slips past with no communication from Archibald, I fear I'll never see my order and possibly no apology either.
Reading some other reviews I don't think my experience is unique. Be wary or very very patient if you're thinking of handling over your money.

I’ve bought a range of exquisite pieces from Archibald over the last few years - superb deerskin sneakers, luscious vicuña scarves and the like. The artisanal quality and feel hark back to a different time - a time of pride in craft that was railroaded over by mass manufacturing and the vacuities of brand marketing. OK sometimes there have been some hiccups in logistics as the realities of small scale supply chains and global disruptions interfere. I accept these in good grace for the privilege of having exquisite merchandise at remarkably reasonable prices and the pleasure of being part of a growing global community reasserting the primacy and dignity of craft and trade at the highest level. A little bit of the old Japanese obsession with perfection and quality in a European idiom. May this glorious experiment succeed!

I never knew that this very expensive item would be so worth it! I had done some research prior to my purchase of my Vicuna item and learned that for what I bought, it cost double in Loro Piana and other brands that carry this fabric. Well done to the founder for pricing this so fairly!! will come back for it all!!

Could not be happier with my vicuna scarf from Archibald, the quality is sensational and the feel of the fabric is mind blowing! It definitely lives up to all of the hype around it. Without Archibald’s offering I’d never have been able to own a vicuna piece, and I’m genuinely grateful for their approach to democratising such a rare and luxurious fibre to make it more accessible. While some other customers have had delivery issues I did not have that experience, and I also think it’s important to support companies like Archibald that believe the best shouldn’t be reserved for the 1% who can afford to stomach obscene markups designed to create manufactured exclusivity to the detriment of the customer. Amazing prices in comparison to what LP or others would charge. Overall very happy with my purchase, and appreciate the fact that I could never have owned vicuna if it wasn’t for Archibald, definitely want to buy more!

The quality and the material of the product is superb. Shipping did delayed for a long… time. At the end, I might get another pair of Archibald London.

Over the past 3 or so years I have ordered everything from leather jackets to footwear to dress shirts to Japanese eyewear to an Italian copper fondue pot. Everything has been of exceptional quality and value. A few items--by no means most--and particularly during the middle of COVID, involved some delay. But being luxury goods, these are by definition wants not needs. And the customer service has been highly responsive and personally attentive throughout. In short, Archibald is doing something no one else does. They are never going to have heaps of stock on hand like J-Crew or a mass market brand. That's why when you step out wearing say, one of their jackets, every other guy isn't wearing the same thing (hello Patagonia puffer!) Those willing to accept this business model will continue to be well-rewarded by the quality, timeless style and personal service of Archibald.

I ordered a jumper in August 2023. Five months on, no jumper and nothing at all in the way of communication, let alone any updates or attempts to reply to my emails. The only thing that's changed is that in Jan 2024 they changed the eta in my order on the website from Oct 2023 to December 2023. Which is nuts.

They claim to be about excellence and community. Once they may have been. Now they seem to be about keeping other people's money and completely failing in their obligations to provide the goods they contracted to deliver.

It's the poorest sales transaction I've ever been involved with. The only thing they seem to be doing differently is being far worse at their job than their rivals. Avoid them, please.

I ordered shoes in May of 2023 and it was supposed to ship out in August. It is Feb and I have yet to receive the shoes. The company has not issued a refund and even after multiple requests for status updates they have only replied twice with a vague statement about delays. This company is not trustworthy and I doubt the accuracy of the reviews on their website.

I would hear about how incredible vicuña is but then I came across Archibald and purchased this for myself. I couldn’t have been anymore pleased in terms of the price and may I say the vicuña hype is real! I’m addicted and want more.

I had recently purchased a coat for my husband and a vicuna knit cardigan. He could not have been anymore pleased with how incredible the items were because of how beautiful they are and soft they are. I look forward to buying more because of how helpful the staff was as well in guiding me through this experience on what my husband would like for is birthday.

I was looking for a new Vicuna sweater as I no longer could fit my previous Loro Piana one my dad gifted me. I came across Archibald from the WSJ and I know the whole point is value but I was a bit skeptical given the price difference and no-return policy on Vicuna. I took the chance anyway and I was sincerely taken aback by both the service and product delivered. After the order, I wrote into customer support to confirm I had ordered the correct size and they provided a very detailed response and even sent me a cashmere piece to try for size. I purchased that piece as well as the quality was outstanding. It takes a little while for the vicuna item to arrive, but everything was perfect. All i can say is well done Archibald!

The attention to detail in every single item is extremely surprising. I found Archibald through my brother in law and was already expecting quite a high level of product but was taken back with what arrived. I am a big fan of Zegna and usually shop there- every single item is easily of that standard. Very impressed!

Horrible company! I would say be careful and read their terms but they are ridiculously long. Buried in the terms are very restrictive terms. They make it seem like returns and refunds are free and easy but not true! They will give you store credit. I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered white sneakers March of 2023 and was promised delivery June. Then delayed four times. Now the promised delivery date has changed the 4th time to October 2023. They just keep pushing the dates out and will not refund or cancel the order. This company does not work in “good faith”. You can tell they’re a start up and having issue with their supply chain. They are struggling to survive so you are really taking a risk. Stay away if you don’t want the stress of having to fight them to do the right thing.

Very frustrating customer experience. I have ordered an item early January which was scheduled to be shipped 8 weeks later. Now 7 months (!!!) later, the item has not yet been shipped. I am being fed weekly excuses that craftsmen have issues with the production. And on top of all that, AL does not even have a decency to offer a refund!!! They refuse to reimburse and hold their clients hostage to the unpleasant situation that they are experiencing with their unreliable suppliers. I am speachless...

Keep you waiting for months, promises not kept. Very unpleasant and rude costumer service. I don't write negative reviews at all, but i don't want any one else to experience this. If i posted a timeline here with conversations people will be shocked.

Still waiting on the product that i won't be able to enjoy at all after all this. If you feel a need to order from this company anyway, please use a payment service that will get you your money back easily.

On 31 March, I made the decision to trust Archibald London with my hard-earned money, eagerly anticipating the arrival of my item by 6 June, as promised. Little did I know that this would be the start of a frustrating ordeal that would leave me feeling deceived and utterly upset.

Despite their assurances, the item I purchased never arrived within the agreed-upon timeframe. The lack of communication from Archibald London only fueled my growing frustration. It is unacceptable for a company to keep a customer's money for such an extended period without delivering the promised product.

To make matters worse, when I finally reached out to inquire about the status of my order, I was met with excuses and an unapologetic attitude. Their response was far from satisfactory, as I was informed that my item would now be delayed until 8 August—a staggering delay from the initial promised date.

This level of disregard for customer satisfaction and blatant disregard for transparency borders on fraudulent behavior. Archibald London has failed to fulfill their end of the bargain, leaving me feeling both financially and emotionally cheated.

A reputable company should prioritise its customers and uphold its commitments. Archibald London, however, has shown a complete lack of respect for their customers' time, money, and trust. It is truly disappointing to witness such negligence and a lack of professionalism in their operations.

I would caution anyone considering doing business with Archibald London to think twice before entrusting them with their hard-earned money. Based on my experience, this company has proven to be unreliable, uncommunicative, and unsatisfactory in their services.

In conclusion, Archibald London's failure to deliver my item as promised, coupled with their lack of accountability and prolonged delays, has left me feeling deeply upset and betrayed. I sincerely hope that they rectify their practices and treat their future customers with the respect and integrity they deserve.

I bought an alligator strap which is too big to fit in it's own buckle. A big waste because the look/material seems fine. Delivery and returns process was inconvenient.
