Extremely pleased with the Finnish,considering it was bit rusty to start with now it's perfect. The service provided was excellent and very quick.

We offer a range of colour finishes, including chrome, black chrome, nickel, gold, copper, bronze in polished, bright, satin, brushed, matt and weathered effect finishes. All of our work is carried out by hand using the same labour-intensive methods originally used to finish the bright work of sought after classics and vintage marques. Excellent service
Very pleased with the old Lewmar30 winch drums Ashford re-chromed. They look superb.

Review purely based on quoted price
This review is just based on their quote pricing. I asked for a quote for a small part on my Triumph classic motorbike - £114. Ok, I thought I'd get a second quote - £40. Sorry but Ashford's quote is nearly 3x the price I've been quoted elsewhere. They may do a great job but it's worth getting other quotes.

The quote you were given is our 'minimum charge' I understand on such small items it may not be economical but please let me explain why we have such a charge. We currently chrome approx 15k units per week, we employ 15 people and the unit we operate from is approx 6,000 square feet, every part received is photographed & given a unique job reference, this means it can be traced at every stage of the restoration process, without such a system / procedure i think you'll agree chaos would ensue. I am aware of other companies that may not handle the sorts of volumes that we do and are happy to slip a bit in here and there but for us that would be a slippery slope that i am not prepared to go down.
Hopefully we can be of some help in the future.

Great workmanship and quality. Very happy with the transformation of my rear mudguard. Communication regarding progress and timescales could be better though.

We apologise if communication was not up to out normal standard and for the delay in completion, this was due to the extent of the work needing to be done and the fact that we were in the process of moving premises that put us out of action for best part of 4 weeks. Polished so well it looks like chrome
I sent my belt guards to ashford's for rechroming (being 18yrs old they showed a bit off pitting) being harley parts I took it that they could be chromed !! But it turned out either the top or the bottom guard was in fact aluminium so they couldn't chrome it they could only polish it, they both look identical they have done such a good job with them , they both look like chrome.
So if you need anything chroming get it sent to ashford's you won't regret it👍

I was very pleased with the service and quality of work that I experienced. Chrome plating is not cheap these days but I felt that the cost was fair for the standards achieved

Despite us seeing massive increases over the last few years for one reason or another in supplier costs in metals, chemicals and energy we always strive to keep our prices as low as possible. I hope we can help again soon.
Dolphin ornaments
Being advised that chrome plating might not be suitable and nickle plating would be a better option.The dolphin ornaments came back looking better than we were expecting and look great.Would recommend and use again if needed.
