Head unit delivered really quickly, for my VW transporter T5.1.
Fitted without any problems, just had to call the support line to set up my aftermarket rear view camera.
Fantastic piece of kit, now using Apple CarPlay, bright clear screen, well worth upgrading, in fact it’s better than my old Kenwood unit that eventually failed.

I bought a unit from PlusCentre in Manchester (who were truly awful). They sent me to Audiotech Direct to get a lead to connect my reversing camera. Needless to say, the other company linked me to the wrong lead.

I rang Audiotech Direct and I have to say their customer service was absolutely superb. They knew the ins and outs of my model of car, and exactly which lead was required to give me continued use of the manufacturer fitted reversing camera - and to maintain the yellow guidance lines on screen. Ok, the lead was nearly as much as the original unit, but it has two electronic boxes hanging from it (so it’s far from a simple lead) and it was “plug and play” and works perfectly.
Whilst I was on, I also ordered a GPS cable adapter and a DAB adapter box. I fitted them on a weekend and they didn’t work. My call was answered in less than a minute and within a minute it was established that I’d connected the leads incorrectly. Changed them over and the DAB and Sat Nav worked perfectly.
The final fit is superb. All original VW features now work including reversing cameras and all messages on screen such as heated seats and aircon messages.
It also flawlessly works as a AppleAirPlay unit for all Apple Features.
The original seller may have been a nightmare but Audio Tech Direct have been a lifesaver. Buy from a company with huge detailed knowledge and experience.
Planning to buy another unit for my partner’s car - will be from this company for the peace of mind of their fantastic after sales service!

Bought a £300 Apple Carplay/Android Auto upgrade unit via their eBay page that was described as compatible for my particular make/model/year/type of stereo in my car.
Install went fine but I then immediately hit quite a few issues with things just refusing to work as they should and also just random issues such as no video, audio not working, etc.
I contacted the company via eBay messaging and asked for a solution, or if there was perhaps a software upgrade available for unit, if not can I please return the unit for a refund. Support was very basic, they said they would contact the manufacturer, and in the end just said it would require "tinkering" to get it working!
After the third attempted install in the car with the same results I again asked for a return and refund several times which was ignored.
So in the end I had to do an eBay return which was classed as "Doesn't work or is defective" which is 100% true as it DIDN'T work properly in my car.
But unbelievably they only refunded me 50% saying it was a false return and that the kit is not faulty!
Thankfully eBay stepped in when I contacted them and refunded me the difference and commented that they were not impressed with the customer service I had received.
Seems though from other feedback I've seen that this has happened to a few others as well!

Also a lot of their negative feedback seems to mysteriously disappear too which doesn't help people make an honest choice when choosing to buy!

I was scammed by this seller on ebay. They sold me an item that they said works for the F01 BMW. It does not fit, they refused to accept it as a return and told me they could "provide me a discount on a future item" if I returned it.

I bought a unit from ATD for my sons VW Scirocco and I have got to say it was a little bit intimidating when we spoke over the phone about all of the required wires/adapters as I’m not car tech savvy at all. I nearly went for the standard RCD replacement which appeared to be an easier option. However, my son was sold on the 9inch screen and wireless car play hence we went ahead with the A85 Pro… and we are so glad we did.

I installed it yesterday following Gregg on the sales helplines instructions and all appears to be working perfectly and my son is over the moon with the look & options. A real upgrade so thank you again and I’ll definitely be back again when we have any further car tech purchases to make.

Great service, small problem I had was swiftly resolved - Top customer service. Looking at an install on my other vehicle now.

Bought speakers adapter to be told they out of stock and had to wait over a month or refund. Refund received thats why 3 stars rating.

I recently purchased a head unit for a Qashqai J10. Unfortunately no instructions were provided, just a head unit and a load of wires with plugs on so I proceeded to try and fit with the supplied brackets. They didn't fit and the OEM head unit brackets didn't position the new unit in the correct position. In the end I had to drill new holes in the OEM brackets to attach them to it in the correct position. I got prompt emails from tech support which was great and once up and running, it's a great system but I'm scoring 4 due to the ambiguity and higher expectations causing a 30 minute job to take several hours of trial and error fitting. The website doesn't mention that modifications may be required to the brackets.

I can’t review the product because it wasn’t the correct fit for my vehicle….. however I can review the customer service I received.

Poor, unprofessional and what I would consider aggressive. They weren’t interested in the information I provided that showed the contradictions and inaccuracies in the description, instead they went on the attack, made assumptions that I didn’t do everything I could to check compatibility with the information THEY provided. As it happens I actually phone a main dealer and asked if there were any variations to this car for this component.

They tried to retain half the purchase price to cover “postage and fees”! What postage costs £27? I know the cost of things has gone up but I also know the postage was at very most £5

If you have a business and you’ve been shafted in the past by customers or incurred costs due to customer error don’t take it out on the next customer, they may have a valid point and maybe, just maybe, you could be wrong.

Again with the excuses and trying to blame the customer. The listing stated that the image containing the dimensions “was for illustration purposes only”, so the only thing I had to go with was the clear statement that it would fit my particular vehicle. I phoned the dealer who confirmed there were no variations on that particular part for that model. No eBay return rules were broken and yes of course I wrote a negative review on eBay.

My reason for return was chosen as it best matches the situation, not because I have an in depth knowledge of how eBay returns work and the costs involved.

Again I point to your unwillingness to except you could be wrong. But you seem to believe you know more than the MAIN DEALER!

I purchased a car play module for my Golf 2013 MK7 and I can say that my personal experience dealing with James was excellent. From start to end he was there and helped me throughout the process making sure that I was able to do this as easy as possible.
I saved £££ on CarPlay and am over the moon

Found their presence on eBay, noticed they had a website and therefore called their store, discussed my requirements and purchased the items I needed. I found them to be incredibly polite especially as I knew I was being a pain in the backside with my endless questions (I'm a newbie in regards to reverse cameras) but they all had the patience of a saint, and I'm now awaiting my items to be delivered and for me to install and experience. No complaints whatsoever and I'm quite surprised and saddened by the negative reviews left on here by others (to be honest).

Absolutely brilliant Company to deal with, quality products at a great price with super fast delivery.

It doesn’t stop there though as when I had problems installing due to a lack of electrical knowledge the advice they gave me over the phone was priceless. Unlike a lot of sellers these also have a professional fitting bay so have the necessary knowledge to provide advice and information.
