The concept is simple, picture a ski resort, remove the snow and replace the pistes with an array of sweeping flowy bike trails meandering to the bottom of the mountain and you are close. Add a bunch of adrenalin and big sprinkle of fun and you are pretty much there. BikePark Wales is an exhilarating way to spend your day in the Welsh mountains.

We had the Ticket to Ride beginner…
We had the Ticket to Ride beginner experience. Absolutely fantastic. I’m a female in my 60s and felt safe and looked after as i carefully attacked the downhills and berms. Colin was a brilliant guide. And my lunchtime salad bowl was a delicious surprise when i’d thought it moght be all burgers and deep fried stuff. Thanks Gavin, Colin and everyone at Bike Park Wales.

Fantastic group beginner session with Colin, learnt all about how to ride safely and build confidence. I’d absolutely recommend any beginner will enjoy the whole park and come out feeling great. We got the flow, kept our heads up and enjoyed every moment. Thanks Colin you were awesome.

Such an amazing day! I’m beginner (going on) intermediate and there was so much for me to do! I feel like I doubled my skills and experience in one day!

Had a great day, it's always such a treat. Just experienced trails that were not too difficult and just had fun. Even trips on the vans are interesting and give enough time to have a chat to others. Staff always friendly and helpful. Still smiling

Suitable for all skill levels.
Great staff, great trails well maintained and accessible for all skill levels. We had a mixed group of a first time riders on a rental, a guy on a hardtail and a couple of e-bikes with 6 months experience. First visit for relative novices and everybody we met from staff to other guests were pleasant and super helpful from showing you how to strap your bike to the uplift to giving directions and advice.
Two full days of running the blues and finally building up to A470 with some coaching and support from a complete stranger - absolute highlight end to our visit.

We love riding at Bike Park Wales
We love riding at Bike Park Wales. Usually on the uplift, and when my son is with me the "Big Uns and Little Uns" events are perfect for our needs. Unfortunately on our most recent visit last Thursday afternoon the queues at the uplift were the longest I've ever seen. The queues moved OK, but in the past they've always been shorter and moved much quicker.

We're sorry the uplift queues felt longer than usual on your most recent visit. While it's encouraging to hear they continued moving steadily, we appreciate that's not always the experience riders have come to expect from us.

Spend your money on a company that treats its customers better
I've been a committed and loyal Bike Park Wales customer for several years and have spent a significant amount of time and money at the park. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has left such a bad impression that I won't be returning.
My latest visit was prevented by an unexpected car breakdown. As soon as it became clear I wasn't going to make it, I contacted BPW to see if my booking could be moved. The reception staff member I spoke to was incredibly rude and blunt, immediately telling me that bookings are never moved under any circumstances.
To make matters worse, you can't even contact reception by phone until well after the park has opened, which makes dealing with urgent issues unnecessarily difficult.
I then emailed the company explaining the situation. I was told that moving the booking was actually possible, provided I paid an administration fee of almost £12. Given that a trip to BPW isn't cheap and I'd already lost out through no fault of my own, I paid the fee. After taking my money, I was then informed that the date I wanted was fully booked and therefore unavailable.
At that point, I requested that the administration fee be refunded, as the booking change couldn't be completed. I was told this would happen. However, instead of a refund, I received an email claiming that I had in fact been moved onto the requested date and that I should have checked my online account, despite previously being told that no spaces were available on that date.
The whole situation has been confusing, contradictory, and incredibly frustrating. I've paid £72 for a booking I couldn't use due to unforeseen circumstances, then paid an additional fee for a change that I was initially told couldn't happen, only to receive conflicting information at every stage.
Mistakes happen, but what really disappointed me was the poor communication and the attitude of the customer service staff. As a long-standing customer, I expected far better treatment. Instead, I feel like I've been pushed aside and hidden behind terms and conditions rather than treated fairly and reasonably.
Bike Park Wales has lost a loyal customer, not because of a car breakdown, but because of the way this situation was handled.
Customer service matters, and sadly this experience fell far below what I'd expect from a business that relies on repeat visitors.

We're sorry to read this review, particularly given that you've been a regular visitor to BikePark Wales over the years.
We'd like to add some context for anyone reading this.
When you contacted us, it was on the day of your booking to let us know that you would be unable to attend due to a vehicle issue. Whilst we completely appreciate that this was an unforeseen circumstance and a difficult situation for you, it was unfortunately outside of both your control and ours.
Our booking terms require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for cancellations or amendments. Despite receiving notification on the day of the booking, we went beyond the provisions of our Terms & Conditions and offered a solution that would allow you to move the booking to an alternative date, subject to certain conditions.
Throughout the process, our intention was never to prevent you from using your booking, but rather to find a way to help you ride on another day despite the fact that the request fell outside our normal amendment window.
Following the confusion regarding the amendment process, we have since gone a step further and offered you a complimentary visit as a goodwill gesture. Unfortunately, you chose not to take up that offer.
We are sorry that you felt the communication during this process was inconsistent, and we'll reflect on that feedback internally. However, we do feel it's important to note that throughout the entire situation our focus was on helping you make use of your booking wherever possible, despite the request falling outside our standard booking terms.
We genuinely appreciate the support you've shown BPW over the years and wish you all the best for the future.

Excellent as ever - this time staying at Travel Lodge 5 mins away - bowling complex and Nando’s what else does an exhausted teenager son need ! BPW service was great - everyone so helpful especially the uplift team . Best day out in Wales

Great evening trails - sort the scran out
Trails were great fun and maintained well.
The canteen was a letdown again. The last time i did an evening ride, last year, we finished up on the uplift only to come down and find the canteen had stopped serving food.
This time (friday 24th July) advertised as a 'wings and beer night' - uplift finishes at 8pm. At 7:55pm there are no wings left, only pizza which was just OK. You cant adevertise a wings night and be sold out before the uplift even finishes.

You're absolutely right that it's disappointing to arrive at the end of a Wings & Beer session and find the wings have sold out. While we'd much rather sell out than have food go to waste, we appreciate that doesn't make it any less frustrating when you've been looking forward to them.
