Unhelpful service team

My husband and I bought a used 16’ Airstream Caravel. We noticed a large dent in it when we picked it up but thought maybe we just hadn’t noticed it before. We took a photo in the parking lot before we drove away. We tried to ignore it for several months but it kept eating at us. Finally, we reviewed the video that our salesman had sent us a week before we picked it up. No dent. When I called to inquire about what could be done, I got the runaround. No return phone calls, no communication. Finally, after 4 tries, I got in touch with our sales rep, Melissa. Honestly, she was much nicer the day we bought it! Of course, on that day everyone was trying to sell us warranties and roadside service. Conversely, she was very short and uncooperative with me when I had an issue. Told me that they could do nothing for us. They would fix it, at our expense, even though we have documentation that it wasn’t there when it was shown to us. Very unhelpful. Obviously, she is a representative for the service team, not the customer. I will find somewhere else to do business.

I know this is a long review but I want…

I know this is a long review but I want to save you some time and money. Don’t take your RV for maintenance or repair work to Blue Compass on Friendship Rd, Buford. The only good thing I can say about the service department is that they are friendly. Unfortunately they are also incompetent. We bought a Dynamax DX3 in Oct 2024. Not from Blue Compass, from a dealer in Texas. In September of 2025 we talked to the service department about getting warranty work done in Oct before the warranty was up. We gave them a list of 7 things that needed fixing and told them we would be out of the country for 2 weeks in Oct and we would bring the RV in to get the work done then. We talked to them several times before dropping off the RV and then went over the list again. Also, a trucker had backed into us in a gas station and dented one of the back side panels ( not warranty work) and we wanted that fixed. So, 2 weeks later we go to pick up the RV and none of the warranty work is done but the back panel is fixed. It took Dynamax 5 months to approve the warranty work! 5 months!! So after the warranty work is all approved and Blue Compass gets the parts we take the RV back in to get it all replaced. They said 3 or 4 hours to get the work done. We had added 2 new problems that came up (after the warranty had expired of course), a leak in one of the slideouts and a leak in the plumbing under the sink. It took 2 days (not 3 or 4 hours) and when we go to pick up the RV (after several conversations with the service department over the past couple of months I had realized that they were pretty incompetent) I started to go over the list of things that were supposed to be fixed and find out 1 of the items was denied by Dynamax and they did not bother to tell us that. (My husband took care of that problem by talking directly to the manufacture of the tire monitor). And another item to be fixed (broken ice maker) was not even addressed. They told us that they would get an ice maker in the next couple of days and contact us. It’s been over a month and we have not heard from them. As for the 2 items we asked them to fix not under warranty, $500 later, the slide still leaked and they left a purple circle on the floor in front of the sink that will not clean up.

Run away from this company now!

We were dealing on a unit that they were having “paperwork issues” on. We were told different stories by different people. We were pressured to put a deposit on it and wait.
We walked away, we were then contacted by Brynn in sales about 3 weeks later to tell us that they had it worked out their problems and had dropped the price. We negotiated again and came to an agreed price.
We filled out their credit app and said we would put a deposit on it by credit card. This was a Saturday afternoon. We hadn’t heard anything by Monday afternoon so texted to ask status, heard nothing. Contacted again next day, got a one line text, “unfortunately unit sold on my day off”
Very very unprofessional company to deal with!
STAY AWAY! Especially the dealership in Winston Salem!

Fantastic Service at Gassville, AR center

OMG!!!! The service at Blue Compass in Gassville AR is amazing. I travel all around the country and I have to say when you are on the road and something goes wrong with your rig, it is often traumatizing; where to go, how to find a place that is reliable, getting service quickly so as not to ruin your whole trip!

Tom Hart service advisor was fantastic from the first minute I talked to him. I told him I was traveling across country and developed a leak in my brand new rig, and more horrible rains were on there way. Tom made it possible to get in there right away. He was like, yeah we need to hurry up and get you fixed and by golly they got it done.

Brandon the service tech was equally impressive. I had 3 issues that need looking at, and he went over every one of them with me, walked me through what he found, how he fixed each issue. Super sweet guy who even talked me through some misconceptions I had about how my new rig worked. He was amazing and I am sooooo much wiser now as to the workings of my new rig.

They lie with their eyes wide open they lied about the trailer. They lied about the finance. They lied about paying yours off and cut me too much to give them to pay my camper off. I made two payments on two campers and one I didn’t even have Kelly’s the financial officer I don’t know what store she works in somewhere in Texas. Do not listen to her. She’s a liar. We’re not return. Your calls threatened to go to the attorney general before I can get anything done. they’re a bunch of fraudsters do not buy nothing from blue compass.

Thieves and Scam Artists

Our law firm attempted to purchase an RV. Nathan Ogletree (478-714-0533), Roland Boughton (678-327-2296) and Josh Alexander (770-945-2435) all lied to us and stole $150k from our company. We agreed to purchase what we were told was a brand-new RV and only after they demanded that we go ahead and wire $150k to them were we called back and told of several issues with the RV that needed repair. We told them we no longer want the RV, since it's in disrepair, and they continue to hold our money of $150k that they stole from us. They also tried to sell us a warranty for $8k and refused to send the coverage details after we requested this numerous times. When they finally sent us the warranty coverage details, it covered absolutely nothing, which Nathan Ogletree did not deny. They were just trying to scam us out of an additional $8k.

Not trustworthy

We purchased a used 30 foot 2018 Rockwood travel trailer from the Blue Compass Lubbock dealer. We were told that they would inspect the unit thoroughly. And, that there were certain things they were "required" to inspect. On day two we started having trouble with the propane furnace. There was a gentleman who happened to be in our RV park working on another another unit that said he would take a look at it. He turned out to be a certified, licensed inspector/repairman.
The furnace had obviously not been tested properly.
The propane regulator was faulty and the unit was blowing soot out of the exhaust vent. Also the propane lines were full of oil and debris. I'm no expert but this looked and sounded like a safety issue to me. I was also told they would drain the fresh water tank for me. As it turns out the tank remained full and the drain handle was broken. "AS IS" does not mean you can take advantage of people.
After going around and around with the Mgr. he said "bring it back in" and we will "take a look at it".
I informed him It was delivered to the RV park, and I'm 70 years old and he should send someone to fix it or come pick it up. He declined !
It cost us over $900 to bring the unit up to regulatory/safety standards. I just don't understand how they can make promises to good hard working people and not honor them.

Great Service Department that will go…

Great Service Department that will go the extra mile to help - no matter the situation. Recently we found a small area of water damage on the roof of the 2024 Grand Design Transcend 240ML that we purchased new from them. They were able to fix the damage and replace the roof all under warranty for us! I like to use their Silver maintenance package to help make sure the roof, body, slides, and propane are all in good working order. This year since the roof was just redone, there was no need to have it serviced, so they worked out a deal for me to have another comparable service done instead. Great Service Staff to work with! Thank you Jon! and everyone else!

Poor experience rectified

UPDATE - Corporate made this one right. Updated my review

Well, this is a fun one... Blue Compass repairs my gray water valve over the winter. I take the trailer out for the first time after the repair and the valve won't budge. I'm hundreds of miles from home or any Blue Compass, so I have to repair it at Camping World...

I've now paid for the same repair twice!

So, I figure it's no problem, right? I'll just contact Blue Compass and they'll reimburse me. Right?

Oh no, apparently the General Manager has decided my $400 is worth the downside of my lost business and the negative word of mouth.

I feel this is one of those customer service interactions that could have been a simple net positive without costing much to blue compass. I guess some companies just don't care.

Lost my business for good and I'll certainly tell everyone I know.

WOMEN BEWARE

WOMEN BEWARE! I drove there to look at and test drive an RV. They said I could not test drive it unless they ran my credit. Stupidly, I let them. I did not want to waste my trip without test driving it. How do you know if you want to buy something without test driving it. The unit was making a weird rattling noise. I was told it was common..I passed on the unit. I felt duped into letting them run my credit. I tried to call the manager to see if this was their "best practices" I was ignored, so I had to drive over there. He was very difficult to work with but eventually he agreed to get the pull removed from my credit. As soon as I left he asked me to pull my negative to review down. I said I would when the credit pull was fixed. I have not hear back from them.

DO NOT Buy, Sell, Consign, or Get Service Here

DO NOT buy, sell, consign, or service your RV at Blue Compass in East Montpelier in Vermont. I have never been so blatantly lied to or our property treated so poorly by a "professional" business. Thomas, general sales manager, always seemed surprised, unaware, and unresponsive in getting a resolution. He lacks communication and follow through. I emailed, called, and left many messages for him over a 3-month period regarding the status of our trailer and he never responded. Thomas would give excuses and blame other departments. Robert, service manager, displayed the same unresponsiveness and lack of communication. We drove over 2 hours to stop in to get information on our trailer because there was no return communication. This was beyond frustrating. The lack of customer service, sheer laziness, and disregard for our property is unacceptable. It took 21 days for them to properly list my trailer on their consignment website. I lost almost a month of consignment because they never uploaded the images or posted an accurate description. There was nothing listed that made our camper stand out and we had a lot of extra features that if advertised appropriately would make it desirable to the right buyer. I, as the customer, should not have had to keep calling them and asking them when my trailer will get listed with photos and a proper description that was their job per the contract. If we knew that they would just list a generic stock description and generic stock photo we would have just listed ourselves. When I would call to ask if there was any interest in our trailer that is on their lot, they said there was no way to know. When we picked up our trailer from consignment, there were multiple things broken on the trailer that were not when we dropped it off (pass-thru handle and grey dump tank handle) we were also missing some yellow leveling blocks and a bucket.
As for service issues, we were charged for a service that was not completed. When I dropped the trailer off for consignment we brought it to their attention and we were told they were going to "make it right". After being told that it was "made right" we drove 2 hours to pick up our trailer, when I checked the service was still not completed. I notified Thomas who said he thought it was completed this morning. So when I called weeks prior to confirm as well as the day before and asked if the service was complete, I was once again lied to. After 5 hours of waiting for it to be finished being serviced we left because enough of our time was wasted. There was no apology or check in from Thomas during that entire 5 hour time period we were there. He did say they were going to deliver the trailer to us the next day for the inconvenience. When it was delivered, I checked and the service was still not completed. At this point it felt purposeful. They also couldn't bother to take 5 minutes to clean up the mud they tracked in on the floor, the toilet lever, and dirty black handprints on our mattress. This showed me the lack of basic consideration for others property.

I had several phone calls with the Regional VP of Blue Compass North East, John, throughout all of this and it was a lot of apologies, thank you for the feedback, someone will contact you, but ultimately no follow through or accountability to make things right. This is not the level of service that a business should be providing. If they did it to us, how many other customers are being lied to and charged for services that are incomplete? I have lost all faith in this establishment after given the opportunity to make it right many times over. This business lacks integrity, experience, respect, and accountability. Save your time, energy, headaches, money, and go to a small business that values you as a customer. One that has integrity and competence unfortunately it is not Blue Compass in East Montpelier Vermont.

Good Sales Experience But Afterwards…

Our sales experience was very good at the Columbia/Lexington location. We have been trying to resolve an issue where there is no evidence that a product was allegedly applied to the interior of the rv ($995). Since December 19, 2025 we have asked to have a copy of the completed work order at least 4 times. These requests were copied to the General Manager, the Sales Manager and the Finance Manager (who made the transaction). The last request we asked for reimbursement. They do not answer our email any longer. It is sad that they caused a good experience to go very bad and that they have no concern with committing fraud.
3/5/26 Update: all monies were finally reimbursed.!

Buying the Jayco Eagle 5th wheel was…

Buying the Jayco Eagle 5th wheel was interesting,,the Finance Manager did not know how to process the loan thru my Credit Union. My credit Union Finance Manager had to school him/her how to deal with a Credit Union vs the run of the mill Banks.
Then I made the mistake of taking the RV to back BC for Warranty Repair. The Tech botched a $3000 Eagle Logo Panel replace. I understand BC had to pay for the Redo. The tech who connected the Antennae Cable to the Bedroom left 3 of six access panel screws laying on on the basement floor.
After the Microwave replacement; the Microwave was cockeyed in the the Cabinet. The service manager said the Cabinet was warped from towing the trailer!!! Well,,,I extended the slide out and retracted it back in,,WALLA the Microwave is square with the cabinets. Obviously the Cable driven slide was not retracted in one motion, possibly stopped and started several times. That is a no no for Cable driven slides. Although the demo person told me at time of purchase walk through stopping and starting was OK. Fortunately for me I new the Truth from Experience.

Jayco Greyhawk Service

Recently brought our Jayco Greyhawk 31DS into Blue Compass in Knoxville for winterization, I would typically do this myself however I have been working away from home and only have a couple of days home. When dropping the unit off, I asked that they run right through it and I gave them a few items such as the power steps, fridge and ACs that I believed needed attention. The staff was absolutely awesome and communicated constantly as they went through the unit. I could not be more pleased with the level of service, very reasonable cost and simply but, great staff.

Worst service and disregard for customers needs

I had an extremely frustrating experience with the service department at Blue Compass RV. Communication was poor from start to finish, with long delays and little to no follow-up unless I repeatedly reached out myself. Promised timelines were missed, and I was often left wondering about the status of my RV.

When the service was finally completed, the quality did not match the time or cost involved. Issues I brought in were either not fully resolved or totally ignored, which should not happen after such a long wait. Staff seemed disorganized and unwilling to take responsibility when concerns were raised.

Owning an RV already comes with enough challenges—reliable service should not be one of them. Based on my experience, I would not recommend the Blue Compass RV service department and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Blue Compass of Delaware NOT Trustworthy

Blue Compass of Delaware, Ohio recently serviced my older 5th wheel camper from September 23rd to November 26th. They were only suppose to repack the bearings, but according to them the axles were damaged. I agreed to replacing the axles and because of my job I had access to a vendor for axles, but they said “If you buy axels yourself we can not warranty installation of outside parts and would not be able to install them”. Meaning, they don't get their markup on the axles and won't do the install. I agreed to go through their vendor to get the axles and I asked for the old axles to be returned to me. During the two month period I received several text messages suggesting additional services, most of which I had already completed.

During the installation they informed me that the axles they bought needed modification and they sent them out to be modified. They did not inform me of any additional cost that would be associated with this nor have me approve such additional cost. I'm not saying that I wouldn't have approved the additional cost, but the fact that I was not informed.

Once the axles were installed they texted me “However we have found a mystery. When we use your leveling jacks, they are blowing fuses now.” I asked if I needed to come down and open it up for them to check the breakers. They said that they have master keys.

I said it could be a possible grounding issue. They said that they could do an electrical inspection for $600. I said that everything was working fine when I dropped it off. They said ,all we did was change the axles. They also did an inspection that proved that everything was in working order before changing the axles. After a couple more exchanges, I asked them to let me know what I owned them and I will come and pick it up.

I went in and paid and then went hookup my camper. It was as they said the lift axles didn't work. I used a jack to lift the camper up high enough to hook up. They didn't help me hook up. I took the camper home and plugged it in and realized that the inside lights were on and the storage compartment lights were on. This drained the batteries to the point that the jacks wouldn't work. Once the battery was charged all worked as before. They wanted to charge me $600 because they drained the battery.

In the end, the quote was for $3360 + tax, it cost me about $4440 to replace two axles. About $1100 difference that was not provided to me nor authorized and I didn't receive the old axles back, which makes me question whether they needed replaced.

In conclusion, the work quality was good, the customer service quality was a fail. If I choose to use this location again I will question everything they say because they have not proven to be trustworthy.

Disappointed Camper

We bought a camper in September from Blue Compass in Concord. It has been a joke since with hidden damages, repairs not be completed as promised, They have had the camper for a month, we have had to cancel and lose Money on reservations due to not having the camper. They are telling us that they are not going to fix the camper. They changed out the refrigerator the day before delivery and put a cheap refrigerator in and didn't even mount it in so when travel it falls out. They hid a tire with wires sticking out by turning the tire around. We were promised to have the closet doors to fixed and were broken on the walk through. We paid a prep fee of $700 and the tech complained the entire time that he had a long week and this was given to him at the last minute. The slide out switch is going out and if it goes there is no way to put the slides in and they won't replace it.
