Really disappointed with Boots after sales care.
After paying nearly £3500 for a pair of Phonak hearing aids I expected better after sales care from Boots. I depend heavily on my hearing aids and the left one has stopped working altogether. I have been told no one can see me for almost two weeks. Going to really struggle. Seems to be all about the sale!

Excellent service, caring staff
My father previously went to a different branch of Boots when he wanted to upgrade his hearing aids. The staff member was rude, basically ignored him and just spoke to me. The result was that the hearing aids were not adjusted to his needs. However the young lady at Hinckley was a breath of fresh air. She was attentive, caring and spoke directly to my father, not me. She ensured he was happy with every step of the process. We left with him beaming with how much better he could hear since she reset his hearing aids.

I couldn't fit my hearing aids when i went for my fitup & subsequently neither me or my wife can fit my hearing aids fully into position and they fall out of my ear within minutes.

I went to Boots in Hinckley for an annual hearing test totally convinced that, even as a musician for many years, my hearing was fine although I was aware of, what I thought, was a small loss in the upper registers. Riddhi proved to me, in the most courteous and professional way, that I was seriously underestimating my hearing loss and I walked out, the next week, with my Phonak Lumity hearing aids. It’s been a life changer. I never realised I was missing so much! Riddhi’s follow up after sales service has been exemplary, offering help and guidance while I navigate the many options available in the phone app and even contacting the manufacturer to assess the best settings for my particular frequency loss, whilst playing loud music, to load into my aids. I have already recommended three family and friends to book an appointment to go and see her. Riddhi is a credit to her company. Highly professional, friendly, courteous and above all, understanding of my particular hearing needs. I highly recommend her assistance and, if you are in doubt, don’t wait, pick up the phone and make an appointment.
UPDATE - 21 November 2023 - I play in a band and as a solo performer and dabble with home studio recordings so my hearing needs are varied, as I also want to hear what my wife says! :) Consequently, I have needed a number of return appointments to get the best out of my Phonak Lumitys. Riddhi has been great! She listens attentively and offers solutions. On one of my appointments she called in a colleague from another store, Fatima, to assist and has now created a special manual setting for me to use when playing loud music. Although my requirements have been challenging, Riddhi has remained professional, positive and patient, always happy to oblige and do everything she can to meet my needs. I mentioned before that she is a credit to Boots. I hope she never leaves the Hinckley branch and I have continued to recommend her to friends and family. The Phonak aids are a large investment for me but I sincerely believe it has been worth it and Riddhi’s assistance has been invaluable.

We were dealt with promptly. The technician was helpful, polite and very professional. She explained the differences between my current hearing aid and the new ones I was collecting very clearly - essential. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

A disappointing experience
I didn't feel that the audiologist understood my problems and was very unclear in her explanations of what was available to me. The aids given to me to wear for a trial had different sized ear pieces and I suffered a sore ear after wearing them
