Having had NHS hearing aids for approx 6 or 7 years with no sign of a new hearing test l decided to try Boots in Penrith. Well it was the best decision we've made in a long time as my wife had an eye test at the same time. We cannot tell you how friendly all the staff were and did everything they could to accommodate our needs from start to finish. The audiologist DON was thorough in his tests with an explanation of everything he was doing and finding that my hearing had depreciated quite alot so with my new ear trumpets and my wife's glasses (still to be made) in our eyes (and ears) it was time and money very well spent.

Excellent Hearing Care assessment by Don Turnbull. He performed a very thorough examination of both my ears including hearing tests. Very knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the process of what was happening, why, results and meaning if the same. His recommendations were person centred and very useful. He was able to provide me with a letter for my GP, with all results and a recommendation of onward referral as appropriate. I can readily recommend this free hearing care service.

I was given a very thorough hearing test by Mr Don Turnbull and all my questions were answered fully. There was no pressure to purchase. i am very pleased with the hearing aids supplied.
Not only am I given follow-up appointments but Boots Hearingcare provide continuing support. Overall a very good service.

Donald was very friendly, helpful and explained everything to me very well. He was very helpful from having my 1st hearing test to actually collecting my hearing aids. He explained to me how my hearing aids worked and how to take them in and out. I would recommend boots hearing to anyone that asked me about them.

The only problem is that I have to drive 20 miles to reach the service, and had to attend twice to complete the analysis of my hearing - but there is a free nearby car park. The audiologist was thorough and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

I was made to feel relaxed and listened to. Every step of the way through the consultation was explained to me and reassurance given.

Excellent service from the audiologist Don Turnbull, very helpful initially sorting out a problem with my ear that needed referral. Then very thorough hearing assessment, clear explanation of options and pricing. Given time to consider, never felt rushed at any point.
Went through everything in detail at the fitting appointment with lots of written information to take away. Further follow up appointment planned for fine tuning, with more if needed. First class service so far, many thanks!

Don at my local Boots Hearingcare in Penrith could not have been more helpful. All aspects of my hearing problems were investigated thoroughly and solutions discussed fully. He navigated me skilfully through the technical side of choosing the correct hearing aid with great patience. It was an enjoyable experience overall.

I had Ear Wax removal treatment and the audiologist Donald was amazing! He explained everything in detail and talked me through the process telling me what to expect. I had a blocked ear and couldn’t hear anything, this was sorted and my ears feel great. There were before and after pictures and I couldn’t be happier.
I went to speak to the staff in the morning to see about booking an appointment and got one the same afternoon which was incredible. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming.

Comprehensive hearing test, explained well and suitable options discussed. My wife was also able to attend which was useful as she understood how bad my hearing was and how much difference the aids made.

Treated with respect everything was explained given opportunity to ask questions and options as to what I wanted to do

Donald Turnbull at Boots hearing care in Penrith was absolutely fabulous with my Dad. In 60 mins he was fitted with a brand new heating aid and it will literally change my dad (and my mums) life. He was patient, caring and just brilliant. Thank you
