I saw a signup offer: Bet £10, get £20 in free bets. I signed up, placed the £10 bet and the £20 free bets - all of them lost.
I also saw a spins promo advertised (wager £20, get 50 free spins) to decided to try these out. I ended up being up about £10 from the spins, but down £10 from the sports bets, so in a break-even situation.
Just after the free bets, I had an email that read:
"We hope you are enjoying our wide range of gaming and betting services at BROTHERBETS. However, we would like to inform you that we can no longer offer you any of our promotions and offers. This decision was taken following a review of your account by our trading department."
I replied to ask why and just got told again that it was a trading decision, so no reason given whatsoever!
I'm also signed up with Highbet (also crooks) and later found out these two are sister sites.
Just after I placed a bet with HighBet, I received the exact same email from both BrotherBets and HighBet, asking for lots of documentation! In the past, most bookies have asked me for no more than driving licence.
But these said they wanted one form of photo ID, one form of proof of address, one bank statement on top of this, and a photo of my debit card. They said my account was restricted (meaning no withdrawals) until I sent them.
At this point, I had no money in either account as the bet I had just placed lost. If it had won, I suspect it would have been a nightmare to get my money back. Now, I'm just going to forget about these accounts and move on. Why give custom to a bookie that treats you like this?!
Theres not many reviews here but look up the reviews for HighBet to see what these crooks are like. Avoid.
