Business Debtline Avis 

Waited on the phone for 1 hour and 26 minutes and then got cut off!! Rubbish service.

I unfortunately had debt issues in the last few years, but as bad as the situation was, the advisors guided me through a process which otherwise would be impossible to do alone. Yes the waiting time does get long sometimes, but I don’t mind waiting for free advice, that is helping me get out of a sticky situation. The advisors are really helpful and want to know your situation in detail, so obviously it takes some time to deal with each customer.
All in all, these bad reviews do not reflect the service, as it’s brilliant and really helpful.

Total waste of your time, two hours and forty five minutes waiting on the phone only for to get cut off. Young trainees answer the phone then you have to repeat the whole story again, they actually take interest in how big your problem is, then they pass you onto an adviser waiting Que, be prepared for very very long waits and when they answer they dont have a clue how to solve your problem. Shocking service and you will be ten times more stressed after getting off the phone to them. Look at the other reviews terrible company useless and should be removed from google. Hope you lot read this business advisers your totally useless

Dont have any staff to actually help! Takes over an hour to get through to their helpline. They dont reply to their emails - regardless if you are replying to one of theirs or contacting them from the their website. Move deadlines as they please causing additional stress.Their web chat is just a simple advice service, may as well not exisit as you can find all that infomration online. If you are self employed you are forced to use this charity as step change wont help - but none of the companies I have contacted are aware of this fact or of Business Debtline! they need to do more to support people by communicating their situation with companies, or join forces with stepchange to get people help quicker. 12 weeks is a LONG wait to hear back regarding a financial situation, and companies just dont accept that this is the case. Wish I had gone unemployed and used Step Change from the start...

Getting hold of them or getting a decent reply is like trying to pull a needle from a haystack!

I got a reply from their email service today in response to my email to them. It said not to reply to it and then repeated my email back to me!

Phone calls take 40 mins plus to get picked up and their chat service although quicker offers minimal information as "we dont have access to the same information as the phone advisors".

Disjointed at best! And I believe this is goverment funded? I could be wrong...really disappointed that they make an already stressful situation even worse...
