Busy Bees Nurseries Avis 

Busy Bees Colton Mill - Allows staff member to return to the setting after force feeding a child. The incident caused distress to staff and children who witnessed the event, yet no action has been taken against the staff member, instead they have been allowed to return! The company is a disgrace and parents deserve to know the truth about higher management, dealing with the nursery and how they process decision making after the nursery recently reopened.

Take your money for a place message them to say your parent has died and nothing. I never recommend

Staff are v.friendly with children and the curriculum is meant to be very good, also a nice outdoor space. So why 1 star? Because increasingly the centre is subject to frequent short notice closures due to weather/ staff shortages etc - and on the former they have been very slow to address - so expect to have to pick up your child at short notice in summer/ that it won't be open. (Currently over June/ July it stands at 6 days closed). Now if you have a flexible employer this might be less of an issue (but even then don't expect a refund or discount) - however given how expensive childcare is I would currently recommend looking at one of the many other centres that have aircon available until busy bees address

Staff are so very welcoming. They take incredible care of the children. They have the children's best interests at heart. My daughter comes home with a smile on her face and cant wait to go back the next day. Would recommend to anyone whose nervous about their baby starting nursery as they make every effort to ensure both you and your child settle in nicely.

Poor management

We are extremely happy with Busy Bees Nursery kingsway. The staff are always welcoming, kind, and approachable. They take the time to listen to any concerns and are always happy to help and support both children and parents. My son, Ibrahim, absolutely loves spending time at nursery and enjoys being with his wonderful teachers. He often comes home talking about the fun activities he has done and says such lovely things about his teachers, which gives me great peace of mind as a parent. Seeing how happy and excited he is to go to nursery every day means a lot to us. I would highly recommend Busy Bees to any parent looking for a caring, friendly, and supportive nursery. Thank you so much to all the staff specially (jade, hylae, Chloe and there are few more am sorry I don’t remember the name )for everything you do for Ibrahim!

All round great staff

The staff are amazing and so informative. I love the app as I can keep an eye on naps/eating etc and they also tell me what my little one has been doing/learning. The food is very good and healthy. My little one loves it here.

Avoid this place, says it all when there’s barely any children there to start with.

Lovely nursery with dedicated and caring staff. Management that listens to concerns and acts on it. My children loves going to nursery. Massive garden for play. Structured learning experiences with the BeeCurious curriculum. Happy parents

Operationally the nursery could do better, communication has been poor due to closure following an Ofsted report. Last minute communication resulting in many parents struggling for child care unless were willing to travel 10+ miles to another nursery, lots of agency staff due to poor senior management.

The main reason we have not removed our child is due to the actual staff in the nursery, mainly Laura & Macey who have been wonderful with Jasper, following a great experience with Karen in the baby room. I'm sure that they have others who are also great but if it would not have been for them we would have looked to move nurseries.

Friendly and helpful staff in a safe environment and our 2 year old loves it!

This is my son’s second nursery, he has been going now for 7 months and he settled in almost straight away. The nursery has such a warm friendly atmosphere and the staff are absolutely amazing. My son is thriving. I highly recommend this nursery

I would like to commend the Baby Room team for the fantastic care and engaging activities they provide every day. The activities are well planned, enjoyable, and clearly support the children's learning and development. The regular updates shared with parents are also excellent and very reassuring.
Congratulations to the new Baby Room Manager and the whole team. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment do not go unnoticed. Please keep up the amazing work you are making a real difference, and it is greatly appreciated by parents. I am truly impressed.

We've used Busy Bees nursery for our three children over the past 8 years and in the past few years the standard has declined significantly, to the point now they have basically failed their latest Ofsted inspection (search Ofsted for Busy Bees Newbury) which was even covered in the local press (search Busy Bees Newbury Weekly News).

Communication from Busy Bees central management is basically non-existent with no attempt to openly discuss and share their plans to improve. Ofsted required some 'Next Steps' to be addressed by the 5th June. Have they done anything? Have they shared their progress and been open with parents? Not at all. Management are interested in profits and making money, not providing an appropriate level of care and service or supporting their centre staff.

This awful Ofsted report also comes after months and months of 1 or 2 days a week of closure to various nursery rooms due to 'shortage of staff', often notifying parents at 17:30 the day before their child won't be able to come in the following day. Totally unacceptable and a breach of contract to provide a regular level of care. I would avoid these nurseries at all costs.

We couldn’t recommend busy bees Hyde enough- they’ve put us at ease from the moment we stepped in the door. Our little boy has come on leaps and bounds with his speech since starting at busy bees. The staff are supportive of one another and super approachable. Thank you to the team at Busy bees- Hyde.

We’ve had such a lovely experience with Busy Bees Wollaton so far. The staff are all lovely and we’ve been so impressed with the amount of different activities they get up to and the care they all put into looking after all the children. You feel part of a family and it has been lovely to see how much my child has come on since attending.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery! The care and support our daughter received everyday is truly outstanding. The staff are incredibly kind, nurturing and attentive. It’s clear they genuinely care about each child’s wellbeing and development.

What stands out for us, is how dedicated the team are to helping children learn and grow. They provide a fun and engaging environment where our daughter has developed new skills everyday and has gained so much confidence!

When you can’t be with your child, it’s so reassuring as a parent to know that your child is happy, safe and loved. The staff take time to build wonderful relationships with both the children and parents, and communication is excellent. We are constantly amazed by the progress our daughter has made since attending Busy Bees Bamber Bridge.

Thank you so much to Vicky (the centre director) and all of the amazing staff for the love, care and dedication you show everyday, but particularly to Jenny in Bombos 1. The love and care you show for our daughter is truly amazing and we appreciate it so much. We would highly recommend Busy Bees to any parent looking for a caring, supportive and enriching environment for their child! Thanks again so much!!
