Kids Planet Christie Fields is a fantastic nursery, and I’ve had both of my children attend there. The staff are incredibly kind, caring, and supportive, creating a warm and welcoming environment for children to learn and grow. I’ve always felt confident knowing my children were happy and well looked after. I would highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

Exepential Nursery

I have been really impressed with this nursery at one of many of sites (Christie fields) there is genuine outstanding care provided on a daily basis, the staff are consistent in the care for children and fully support their needs first, this is shown by how the team(s) communicate in a way to create a warm welcoming atmosphere, My child since attending KP has grown in confidence and this is purely down to the staffs dedication, determination and kindness. Home builds love, foundations and emotional security - nursery develops social, practical and group skills.

Kids Planet Christie Fields Amazing nursery!

Kids Planet is a fantastic nursery to put your child in. I have been sending my child there since he was 11 months old & I couldn’t be happier with the care provided (he is almost 3 now) The staff are attentive, caring & have really know my child! My child always comes home telling me about his day & what he got upto with his teachers which is lovely to hear.

The management team are great & ensure
the nursery runs smoothly, which is clearly reflected in both the staff’s practice & the excellent provision throughout the nursery.

Every time I drop off or collect my child, the children are always engaged in activities & most importantly, happy! I would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents.

SANDBACH

SANDBACH: The nursery has a car park that is nearly empty for most of the day. That is because the nursery staff think it is ok to double park in the residential street opposite, making it a misery for those living there. There are wider roads to park in just a few yards further away which would cause no problems to residents, but the staff don't care. It has got that bad that the town and borough council have become involved.

Kids Planet Heddon

My little boy goes to Kids Planet Heddon. The team at this nursery are truly amazing. They take on such a huge responsibility every day with care, patience, and dedication, and it never goes unnoticed. It’s an incredibly important role that is often underpaid (nationally) and deserves far more recognition for the impact they have on both children and families. Knowing my child is in such safe, capable hands gives me real peace of mind and allows me to work without worry. I’ll be forever grateful for everything they do. He loves absolutely all the staff but big shout out to Sommer..Fran ..Emily and Dom as I hear a lot about them via my son xx

Medical neglect

I had a very concerning experience with Kids planet Brampton Park and ultimately made the decision to withdraw my child after 2 months.

One of the first issues I noticed was the lack of basic safety and hygiene protocols. Parents were expected to enter the baby room and retrieve their own children, often stepping over crawling babies while wearing outdoor shoes. This felt completely inappropriate for such a vulnerable age group.

There was also no suitable space provided for breastfeeding, when raised at the show around I was told there would be an appropriate plan in place and space provided each day for me to visit and feed my child, the lack of organisation left me sitting on steps or small children’s furniture. This felt both uncomfortable and inconsiderate. Over the course of spending time feeding in different rooms, I also noticed that many of the children’s areas appeared quite run down and in need of renovation.

More worryingly, my baby’s care needs were not consistently met. Staff told me they “didn’t have chance” to try giving her formula during the day to get her used to it, and her nap schedule was not followed, which left her distressed and unsettled.

The most serious concern, and the reason we ultimately left, was around neglect of her medical needs. I had completed a medical form clearly stating that her prescribed eczema cream needed to be applied multiple times a day, but this was not followed. My baby was sent home with multiple cuts and scratches on her arms, suggesting she had been left uncovered and able to scratch for a prolonged period.

What was especially concerning is that the state of her arms were not mentioned to me at pick-up. With staff admitting to the manager that they ‘didn’t have chance’ to apply any cream at all through out the day and they had not noticed the severity of her skin.

When I raised this formally and sent images of my child’s injuries, the manager handled the situation very professionally. She was extremely apologetic, said she would speak to the staff in the baby room, and put a plan in place to prevent this happening again. While I appreciated her response, ultimately she would not be the one directly caring for my child day to day. I needed confidence that the staff in the baby room would meet my child’s needs appropriately from the outset, and unfortunately that trust had been lost.

Overall, I did not feel confident that my child was receiving safe, attentive, or appropriate care. I strongly urge the nursery to review its staffing, safety procedures, and approach to individual care needs

We couldn’t be happier with this…

We couldn’t be happier with this nursery. Our daughter has been attending since she was 12 months old, and it has been such a positive experience for her and for us as parents.

She absolutely loves going every day, which says everything. It’s been wonderful to see how much she has grown in confidence and how much she’s learned during her time there. The activities are engaging and clearly support her development in a fun and nurturing way.

The staff are truly amazing—caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children’s wellbeing and progress. We always feel reassured knowing she’s in such good hands.

The facilities are also fantastic—clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed to create a safe and stimulating environment for the children.

We’re so grateful to have found such a brilliant nursery and would highly recommend it to any parent.

Great Nursery with supportive staff.

My daughter has been attending Ashbourne House since September and she has taken to it like a dream. They're all very lovely and really supportive with helping with milestones (potty) and making her feel happy and comfortable.

Always comes home happy to tell me about what they've been up to.

KP Ashbourne House…Amazing

KP Ashbourne House is incredible. The staff are incredible, they go above and beyond all of the time and care so much. Our child is truly looked after, safe and learning new things all of the time. Great place to be.

My 9 month old daughter has started at…

My 9 month old daughter has started at kids planet rugeley at the end of Feb, let’s just say I am utterly shocked by the state she was given back to me, even after her second ‘settling’ session.. her top was soaked through, even her vest.. same outfit I sent her in even though there were extra outfits in her bag. They should’ve changed her & her nappy had not been changed at all on her settling in session.
Which made me concerned what she was going to be like after her first full day there, let’s just say it got worse. Yes they changed her nappy but only twice from 8am - 3:30pm and gave her back to me with a wet top and vest , soaking wet socks on her feet were so cold, a soiled and wet nappy that’s full… not only this they have a app to give you updates to only send me photos of her teary eyed 4 hours in to her day there.. not settling at all.. don't recommend at all I have complained and I’m demanding our money back for March as I’ll be taking her elsewhere.

Terrible management in head office

Terrible management in head office, but nice staff members. Great place to work if you have kids, however if you don’t then they’re not interested or care at all. One rule for one and completely different for another. Very two faced within management and very clicky, the higher people like directors and CEO’s seem lovely and polite just the managers are awful

Kids Planet Nursery Crewe Sydney road

Kids Planet Nursery Crewe Sydney road has been fantastic for our family. The environment is warm, organised, and genuinely caring. Abby deserves a special shout‑out — she’s incredibly kind, attentive, and always goes the extra mile to make children feel happy and secure. Casey and Lexie have also been wonderful and supportive throughout.

poor management at the Triangle Headington

We finally pulled our son out at the end of 2025. My son attended Kids Planet The Triangle through Oxford University placement. The teachers and day-to-day staff were kind, but the management was utterly incompetent, especially around safeguarding and communication.

A major issue was the no-tailgating policy, which only caused inconvenience for parents but offered no real security. The rule is enforced by having a staff member sit by the door, visually recognise each parent, and then buzz them in. This system is not reliable and there is no physical barrier to stop someone who tailgates through the main door from moving further into the building.

When I asked the nursery manager, what the nursery would actually do to stop an intruder, she told me she would “try my best” — which is not a defined or safe safeguarding procedure.

When I escalated this to the Area Manager, he wrote that “the correct procedure does not expect staff to physically intervene with an intruder,” confirming that Nursery Manager’s answer was wrong. Yet after several follow-up emails, no actual intruder-containment procedure was ever provided. Instead of addressing the concern, they pushed us out by restricting my access and suggesting we “leave earlier” via email.

The internal door PIN, which becomes the only real safeguard, is shared by all families because the door hardware only supports one single PIN. It had not been changed for months and did not match the code in the Famly app — making the “second layer of security” ineffective.

I later discovered that Ofsted carried out a compliance visit in September 2025 and found the nursery was not meeting some of the required standards, specifically that risk assessments were not robust and staff required additional training to follow safety procedures during children’s transitions around the setting. This aligned with our bad experience.

Their management team seems to spend more time monitoring online reviews than on actual management duties, which explains their abundance of positive reviews online.

To keep everyone safe, we follow a strict no-tailgating policy and ask all visitors, including parents, to close the door behind them, even if someone is entering just after them. This helps ensure that everyone coming into the setting is recognised and authorised. Our staff uphold all safeguarding procedures, including challenging individuals not known to the nursery, updating codes, and ensuring mobile phones are not used within the setting. These measures protect the children and maintain a secure, nurturing environment. We also expect our team to work in a respectful atmosphere, and we do not tolerate any abuse towards them while they carry out these responsibilities.

Amazing nursery and wonderful team

Amazing nursery and wonderful team! This is my second child at this nursery and I couldn’t fault it! The staff and activities are wonderful and my child enjoys attending each week. Billing is straight forward and clear and love the app the use!

Staff treatment not good

A close relative had a terrible time working for this outfit. Be very careful to ensure you get everything important in writing e.g. key targets during the probation period, getting paid when attending courses (e.g. First Aid) and also getting the appropriate certificates e.g. First Aid. I could go on about other things but will leave it at that for now.

I have now received a vanilla reply from Kids Planet but it seems they are not keen on discovering the 'other things' I mentioned. Strange that.

It's now 20 February and, after a reassuring first response to my adverse comment, saying how keen Kids Planet were to resolve the outstanding issues, nothing has happened. What a surprise!

Update 22/3/26. After a cuddly request to contact the People Team confidentially I mentioned sharp practice and would like to discuss further. The result? Ticket Closed.

Ignored for 12 months regarding billing error – Appalling service

I am writing this review as a last resort after being ignored by the Kids Planet billing team for over 12 months.
​We were initially incorrectly charged over £1,000 for hours that were verified as council-funded. Despite sending numerous emails and spending over 20 hours of my own time trying to resolve this, I have received zero replies from tbe billing team. Instead of addressing their error, Kids Planet continues to send increasingly aggressive and "scary" automated bills demanding payment for money we do not owe.
​The lack of communication and the stress this has placed on our family is unacceptable. It is deeply concerning that a childcare provider shows such little regard for parental well-being and financial accuracy.

Avoid for Your Child's Wellbeing

When the nursery was under learning journey management we could not fault this nursery and staff however, since moving to Kids Planet standards have plumited. This includes appearce, cleanliness, staff attentiveness, the wellbeing of children and some staff more worried about there appearance.

We started to notice a change in our child when taking them instead of being happy would cry the moment we pulled onto the carpark.

Then when collecting would be a complete mess, I understand children play and get messy but hands and faces can easily be wiped.

We then noticed the environment become increasingly dirty from the actual building to things children are playing with.

Our child is also a fussy eater yet daily reports said they were eating most or all of the food however, when we asked a member of staff the one day directly they advised only a little had been eaten yet when we checked the report later it said all. We therefore questioned this at the parents evening and was advised they would address this as a separate part needed to be amended. Then going forward this suddenly changed to little and alternative.

Also at the parents meeting we were advised a couple of points our child seemed to struggle with however, once we advised they had no issues outside of the nursery with these points and provided videos this seemed to disappear. My suspicion is the staff did little to no interaction and engagement as once you do our child excells.

The most recent incidents then were two occasions of biting the second of which our child received a nasty bite between there shoulder blades with the incident being described as taking places over a couple of moments yet staff could not get there in time, once questioned it was advised The other child is a known biter with special needs and this is how they act. Also I was advised this is quite common with biting children biting so really just telling me to accept and get over it.

At this point we had enough and removed our child for there own safety and wellbeing. Since doing this we have got our child back all happy and smiles along with them developing far more quickly.

My advise is look elsewhere as there are far better nurseries in the Kingswinford area and after speaking to a number of them even they have said they have had a number of children transfer from Kids Planet.

As discussed during our recent meeting with yourself, we do take all parental concerns extremely seriously. Since joining Kids Planet, the nursery has undergone a full refurbishment including full redecoration in December, and we continue to invest in our environments, resources, and staff development to ensure high standards of care, learning, and wellbeing for all children. Regular cleaning schedules, audits, and supervision are in place to maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the setting.
We understand how upsetting it can be when a child becomes unsettled, and we always aim to work closely with families to understand changes in behaviour, eating habits, and development. Care records and daily reports are completed with care, and where inconsistencies are identified, these are addressed promptly with the team, as was discussed with you at parents’ evening. With regard to incidents such as biting, we appreciate how distressing this can be for families. These situations are managed in line with our behaviour and safeguarding policies, with close supervision, risk assessments, and support plans in place to protect all children involved. While such incidents can unfortunately occur in early years settings, we never expect parents to “accept and get over” concerns about their child’s safety, and we are sorry if our communication did not reflect this clearly.
We respect your decision to move your child and are pleased to hear they are happy and thriving. We continually reflect on feedback to improve our practice and remain committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all children in our care. Staff that care.

The staff are what makes the nursery a great place to send children. I've been very impressed with the amount of effort that goes on in facilitating different activities every week and communicating feedback.
