Went to purchase camera, and add a free gimble. As stated on site, discount would be applied when both in basket.
That didn't happen so I opened live chat.

Employee stated offer had been withdrawn. I could clearly see it on the site, so I asked for it to be honoured.
He then instructed me to refresh my browser, because the offer was not available.

Yes, because you just removed it while I'm chatting.

Poor service. Honour your offers.

Terrible experience. Staff sloppy and never ring back about an order. Having spent nearly £1,000 on a telescope and camera, which we can’t use, you would think the part we need to connect the camera to the telescope would be a priority, not to still be waiting for over a month.

Excellent service from this company, ordered an item via Amazon and Carmarthen cameras was the supplier and it arrived the next morning that’s incredible customer service will definitely use them again.

I wanted to buy a Nikon D3500 and everywhere had sold out after the Christmas period.

After a www search Carmarthen Cameras came up with the best price. As I required the camera within 5 days of going on holiday I phoned them (Joe) assured me my camera would arrive within a few days. I was nervous about it arriving on time but I had nothing to worry about. The camera arrived on time.

A competitive price for a manufacturer's original accessory, particularly when postage was included. Prompt email response to the order, including "Once your package ships we will send an email with a link to track your order".
The shipment email came but there was no tracking link. I emailed back to ask about this and did not receive the courtesy of a reply. When the item arrived several days later, admittedly properly packed and in satisfactory condition, it was apparent why no tracking link had been sent: postage was by a Royal Mail service which does not have any tracking.
All it would have taken was a simple email back to say that orders of this type are sent by a non-trackable service or even sorry, we made a mistake. Anyway, it's too late now and I would think very carefully before placing any future orders with a business that either can't or won't communicate properly.

I used to love this shop, great service and often had what I was after so I was a regular customer doing the right thing by shopping local. Now that they have moved to bigger premises things have changed along with the attitude of the staff, not only were they rude but I was also surprised at the lack of knowledge. It's almost like that was left behind at the old shop along with the charm, to cut a long story short I walked out in disbelief and empty handed. On my way down the road I'd called a friend to tell him what had happened, he laughed and siad that's exactly what happened to me, then he siad they won't be getting my money anymore. The same goes for me, shopping elsewhere from now. Shame shame shame.

Very friendly and helpful until you have a problem and then truly appalling.
Spent £3k on anew camera, experienced a fault after a few weeks promised it would be fixed and back from Olympus in less than a week, now into week two and no idea when it will be back and, despite going to the store, they are not interested!
Plenty of other really good, online, retailers out there, buy elsewhere.

I bought a lens recently through Ebay and it was meant to be delivered to my local Argos. Somehow, the delivery company returned it to the shop. Tim from Carmarthen cameras quickly sorted it out and sent the lens by Royal Mail Special Delivery - Saturday delivery as I was away in Carlisle. To say I'm impressed with the service would be an understatement. 5 stars is not enough, A+++++++++++++++++

Great friendly company with very knowledgeable staff. Their new premises is very impressive and have the biggest display around.

So far, I've bought a mobile gimbal, 11mm f4 Irix lens and a Nikon Z6 + 24-70mm lens from them. Their prices are no more and no less than other camera dealers (i.e. Wexphoto, Clifton, Jessops, etc.) but for me the main reason for choosing Carmarthen is they offer 12 months interest free credit via V12 Finance, which allows me to spread the cost of the equipment over a year.

I've had no complaints and as long as they continue to offer this level of service then I'd be happy to buy from them in the future.

Beware of this company .... on Amazon Com. UK , have I bought a telescope from Vanguard Model: Endeavor XF 80A Angled Spotting Scope with 20-60 zoom.
This Vanguard product proves to be defkt or of very poor quality..? I have unsuccessfully written to the company for correction of the error - but without having a return response.!
