Carolina Carports and Metal Buildings Avis 

They were supposed to be here at noon yesterday. They did not show nor did they call. They rang my doorbell at 7:00 AM this morning and they were all Mexican and did not understand English. I told them that I was upset that they didn't show up or call yesterday and they just shrugged their shoulders. I don't think they understood a word I said. I told them to wait a moment and when I went back out a couple of minutes later, they were gone. They don't answer their calls and they don't call back. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Extraordinarily incompetent. Rude and lacking basic customer service. After a 5 month wait they were a no-show for the building install. No call, no email....nothing. Just didn't show up. After finally getting through on the telephone the following week their attitude was "oh well" and now we have no idea when we can get to your job. Shop elsewhere and don't waste your time with this circus. Also, check out the BBB for 100's of one star reviews and complaints.

Recently purchased a metal building through Carolina Carport. Installed less than 3 months ago. The metal door won’t roll down. Been calling for over a month to speak with someone in the Florida department and can’t get an answer. In the meantime everything in my building is getting soaked. Left voicemails waited on the line numerous time for 15 mins a call to just be hung up on. I can get an answer when call the 1800 number but they will not help me and are rude and transfer me to the Florida department. Funny thing I had NO problem speaking to anyone before I handed them my money now they are extremely busy and can’t answer my call since it’s a warranty problem and already have my 20k. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

My contract is 8/11/2020 as of today no carport Contacted company so many times ever way possible Very rude constantly different excuses and now the sales rep I used basically is saying I probably won’t get my contract honored. Seriously, how can this company just keep doing people like this Now I’m having a hard time getting my deposit back. Save yourself your hard earned money take your business elsewhere. This company is the worst, almost a year I have waited and for what Nothing except taking my money! Terrible Terrible business

A year ago this company started a 30x40x15 building for us in Brooksville, Fl we had ordered it in February 2020 but covid delayed it. The building is crooked and the roof leaks on one side in multiple areas, I just spoke with a representative, by chance she answered her phone but had no recollection of speaking with me. Long story short do not let this company build anything, they have 0 stars if it was an option. They dont answer the calls or return any messages and if your account is paid in full your on your own.

Make sure your contractor isn't sourcing materials from Carolina Carports. You don't want to deal with this company. Just a constant headache. When they finish the install, there WILL be problems, and they WILL NOT address them in a timely manner and you WILL NOT be prorated or compensated for fixing the problems they left you.

The customer service with this company is beyond terrible. This company does not return calls, emails, or communicate at all.
Delivery was rescheduled twice after multiple mistakes were found with the order. Even after the order was supposed to be right the building was installed wrong. Now this company offers no answers of a plan on how to fix the problems or when they plan to do so. The reps and management are rude and disrespectful. EXTREMELY POOR business ethics. Please don’t waste your time or money with this company.

Ordered the carport in October 2020. Was told will be installed in November or December. Kept calling, emailing, and took days to get a response, and was told they are trying to get us on the schedule, but couldn't give a date because of weather and covid. Finally received installation date of April 27. Day came, no one showed or called. Was told they don't know if the installation crew doesn't show and after putting me on hold, was told my carport did not make the truck and that is why they didn't show. I asked why no one called to tell me and was told sometimes there are communication issues with the installers because some don't speak English then denied she said that. The installation crew is only in my area every 2 weeks. I assumed I would be on the next truck, but no, they have other jobs and can't change the schedule. It could be July, then didn't know when it would be installed. Customer service and attitude is terrible. They don't even deserve a 1 star. After numerous phone calls was told they would refund my deposit. I'm sure that will be delayed and be blamed on weather and covid or they will deny they said that. Stay way from them. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

These people are a joke do not buy anything from them or from any dealer that represents them. They are arrogant and their work is less than 0.
They told me they won't place in order less than $6000. Don't think you're getting a carport from this company. They advertise though they will that so they can get your money and screw you. A lot of businesses are doing this everywhere. This is definitely one of them.

I ordered a carport on August 14, 2020. I began checking on delivery times in Oct. 2020 as projected. I was told that due to Covid 19 orders were delayed and they were working on July orders at that time. By the end of Nov., I was told they were working on June orders at that time. I have called each month to get an update, sometimes it takes days before I could get someone to answer the phone, and even inquired as to how to cancel my contract. At the first of last week, I was told I was scheduled for delivery on April 12th or 13th and I would receive a call at the end of the week with the exact day. The call never came. I called on April 12th from 11:50 a.m. till 1:30 and a message stating they were at lunch and leave a message for a call back. I did, never came. I called again at 4:45 p.m. and was told the she was on another line (Georgia representative). I said I would wait. At 5:15 p.m., it went to voicemail after holding for 30 minutes. I left a message for a return call that has still never come. Today I have called at total of 11 times and never spoke to a person. I left messages on 2 extensions that the voicemails picked up. All the other extensions stated the voicemails were full. I would love to have my carport but at this point I am questioning if I will get it. I have not been able to order through another company due to the contract. I understand Covid 19 caused numerous problems in our country but communication is very important and this is crazy! Someone to answer phones or at least change your message saying how important our call is while we're waiting! I wish I had never placed an order with this company!

Where to begin with this one? First off, I order a carport from Alan's Factory Outlet. Little did I know that these folks over at CC would be the completion end of things. Well let's start with the call three weeks ago about them coming out to install my carport. Same day a call back (lady from CC) that crew is unavailable or off. I have tried repeatedly to get a hold of these people and continue to get sent to voicemail after voicemail after voicemail. Now I'm in an email chain with Alan's. Asking me to give them a chance with in the time frame. 4-6 months from your order. Why is no one addressing the facts? The call stating a crew is coming out and no reschedule time. No one from CC has even tried to contact me. Shocker! They are leaving Ms. Weaver from Alan's to carry their screw up. Why would I continue to do business with CC? Would you? They fact that the Alan's representative is not addressing the facts at hand tells me that, you clearly don't care about the end product just the bottom line. All these praises for Alan's Factory Outlet... Why?! They've shown me keeping my meager $400 +/- is more important than customer satisfaction. I've asked three times to return the deposit or keep it. Let's just go our separate ways. Ms Weaver would like me to bet on a lame horse that we all know, will not win. To this I say, no thank you. CC will not be coming on my property. Not now, not ever! Guess I'll review Alan's now and be that thorn in everyone's side. Again the question is. Why Alan's does not address the incompetence from CC? Are they calling us all liars on here? Sad fact is, I should have just built it myself.

We ordered a 24 x 40 garage on 9/18/20 and site was confirmed ready by CCI on 10/12/20. They told my husband we would have it installed by year end. It is now March 11, 2021 and still no garage and no delivery date. We have tried tirelessly to get even a projected delivery time. I was told that they had 600 sites ready in just the state of WV alone and that they service 21 states. So basically, I would get it whenever. Apparently, they take all the orders they can get even though they do not have enough qualified contractors to fill them. Then, they put the contracts out for "bid" and wait on contractors to make an offer on your order. None of this was explained to us until last month. I also informed them that our storage unit (that we are paying for) is being sold and that it will not be available after 4/30. They said they could flag our account but could still not even tell me what month we would be getting the garage. The staff has been very short and rude. You can not post on their Facebook page but you can make comments on their posts. However, if it is anything negative, they remove it. I have recently checked and there are many negatives reviews on them with BBB as well and they are NOT BBB accredited. Shame on me for not verifying that prior to ordering. It is without a doubt the worst customer service that I have ever dealt with. Just wondering how I can get their lack of service broadcast on the National News?

In January 2020 I sent this company a deposit to construct a fairly simple "lean too" garage attaching it to a garage they already installed as per their contract dated01/23/2020. The check was Suncoast Schools Credit Union #305 dated 01/30/2020 which was cashed in February 2020. Since that time they have sent people out to install the wrong structure and people out to measure for the proper structure. The studs on the structure they installed which were 48" in square are all off, so I asked that they measure for themselves to be sure they were constructing the structure to fit. I have the measurements made by there person with his signature, They measure 451/2" to 461/4" on square. None are 48". Disconcerting and inconvenient when hanging shelves and lighting, but not structurally catastrophic. My problem is that I have received no further information on my project a year and a month after the contract. When I call, I generally get no answer. If I do get an answer I get transferred to a busy signal ( I have speed dial and redial) for dozens of attempts. If do get an answering machine I am forwarded to a mailbox which is full and I am disconnected. This is multiple different numbers and attempts. I have requested a refund of my deposit by phone to the salesman (Alan Adams here in Florida who is apparently very intimidated by the Corporation), by letter and by email. No response. I would like, at this time, a simple refund of my deposit from over a year ago and a cancellation of the contract so I can proceed with the construction without recourse with another contractor. Damages to my equipment sitting out in the weather is significant and irreversible. I have not taken this to social media. I have been quite cordial. Our family ordered a 20'x21' canopy from Alan's for another family member. As many of the reviews mentioned, the actual supplier turned out to be Carolina Carports. I've learned a very important lesson and that is make sure that you know who the actual supplier is going to be. I read the reviews for Alan's and most were good reviews. Had I known that Carolina Carports would be involved I would have read their reviews prior to purchasing and would have definitely used another company. To be fair - the ordering process, email communication and telephone communication were good throughout the process. We were told that the canopy would probably be delivered between 90 - 180 days and ours actually came a little after the 90 days. We received a call and scheduled a time for delivery and set-up. This is where things took a turn for the worse. 1st cancellation occurred due to inclement weather. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th cancellations or (NO-SHOWS) occurred due to the contracted installer having truck problems. We actually had to get Carolina Carports to make contact with the installer to find this out rather than the contractor calling Carolina Carports or calling one of us. I have to give Mattie and Stephanie credit for being very professional and good sports throughout this process. They understood our frustration with the unprofessional behavior exhibited by the installer. Mattie and/or Stephanie took my call each day at 9 am knowing that I expected an update on the status of the installer regardless of whether they had good or bad news. Dealing with them was the bright spot of this whole ordeal and they proved that not all of Carolina Carport's customer service representatives are incompetent or unprofessional. The canopy finally got installed but I know that I cannot recommend Carolina Carports to anyone. Management should take a good look at their contracted installers and their overall performance and customer satisfaction ratings and do something to improve both. Management should also be more willing to make things right when their employees or contractors provide inferior service to any of their clients or customers.

Currently starting a class action lawsuit against this company. Received a bill for $1800 for a building that was installed in November and ordered in June. I paid in full according to my contract. This company is robbing people, and they are shameless about it.

REVIEW 7 months of waiting for installation... Covid or not this is crazy. When I paid deposit (DURING COVID) they told me 6 weeks... NOT 7 MONTHS!! They don't even have the courtesy and customer service to at least call and give updates. They also advised me that they put larger orders installation dates ahead of smaller orders. Negative 10 star review.. I'm calling and making a compliant with attorney general and I advise everyone else to do the same... They even removed their reviews from their Facebook page it looks like. I will NEVER use or recommend this company.

We have purchased three buildings from Carolina Carports, but this is our last!
We ordered and paid 16% in May of 2020. We needed the carport for July 4th. They told us no problem. Then the lies started. Covid, weather, birthdays....you name it.
We asked for a discount and were told no way. Very rude.
The new installers did not pull a chalk line and the screws are not in line.
I would pass on any seller that uses Carolina Carports for their buildings.

Awful customer service and liars. after they installed our pole barn they called us to inform us about an amount we still owe them. We provided them with the contract and all payments we did pay them, they replied with one sentence that we still owe them money. Anything but professional. they should be in jail.

Same thing happened to me. I ordered the carport in August, 2020 & it is Jan. 2021 and they still havent came out to install. You folks are right, everything from covid to weather. This company is a joke. Folks please read all this stuff about CCI, and run. Dont order anything from them. If you cant get out and install the garages, stop selling them to people.

Carolina carports was 3 months late on delivery. When they arrived, the crew did not want to install the building because we did not have full 3 feet of space around the slab( something that was not discussed with me prior to install). I had to install two sides of the building myself. As the crew was finishing the job, they noticed the door was faulty and communicated to me that they would be back in two week. 6 weeks later, no one from Carolina carports had reached out to apologize for the delay or inconvenience nor did they set up a time to return. I spent the next 6 weeks leaving messages and sitting on hold in excess of 5 hours without any success. When I finally got someone on the phone, I was given an install date that was 2 weeks out. The day came and went and again, no one called nor did they show up. I reached out again with slightly better success and was given another install date and for the second time they did not show up. However, they did call on the day of the install to let me know they never ordered the replacement door. A month and a half later, I receive another call to set up an install and again they did not show up. I missed a call from Carolina carports on a Sunday morning while I was in church but the caller did not leave a message to inform me that they would not be showing up. I ordered tis building in mid June with the understanding that it would have been installed in 4 to 6 weeks. It is now mid December and I still do not have a completed building.
