This Company was very straightforward and helpful to deal with. They provide an efficient and trustworthy service and I have used them 3 times in the last year. Each time they offer a friendly and no pressure service and provide prompt payment against an agreed valuation. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Their Handling of Complaints When They Get It Wrong Is Very Bad Indeed
I wrote a review about this company's poor conduct, namely that they told me an item of jewellery had no value, and when I asked for it to be returned they instead offered to keep it and "dispose of it for me". I insisted they return it and then I sold it for £820 at a high street jewellers. That conduct merited 1 star.
This review is about what happened since, i.e. their complaints process. No apology, no acceptance of what their staff did wrong, instead one of their senior managers telephoned me and told me lots of things that were untrue. He denied that his staff offer to dispose of customers' jewellery when the customer asks for it to be returned (I've had two of their staff make that offer to dispose of my jewellery for two different items). This manager wouldn't have been so brazen with his untruths if he had actually listened to the recording of my conversation with his staff as he claimed to have done. I don't think they even have a recording of it, despite claiming to.
They then employ smoke, mirrors and distractions by replying to the 1 star review with inaccurate claims about what happened and saying the complainee must have them confused with another company or is confused about what happened.
I told this senior manager that it was utterly wrong for his staff to offer to dispose of customers' jewellery just because his staff wrongly claim it can't be melted down for scrap and that such jewellery still has a value as jewellery. What a cheek then that in his rebuttal to my 1 star review, he's lecturing me that jewellery that can't be scrapped still has value and so they never offer to dispose of it. I made that point to YOU, not vice versa. So, for lying and claiming your staff don't offer to dispose of valuable jewellery and then lying again by saying you never denied that, your complaints process gets a 1 star review. And guess what, Mr Senior Manager who falsely claimed to have listened to the recordings of my conversations with your staff - I have a recording of MY conversation with YOU, so stop falsely claiming that you didn't deny your staff never offer to dispose of customers' jewellery. Your record keeping may be poor, mine is air tight.

In the interest of balance, we will report the actual chain of events. You obviously have no records yourself and have confused the relevant timeline and the figures involved.
On Friday 27/01/2023 you sent two pieces of jewellery to us. The first was purchased by us at an agreed price.
The second piece was a small necklace, weighing just over 19g that contained 2% Cadmium. Cadmium is potentially carcinogenic and we are prohibited from sending material for melt and assay when it has a Cadmium content in excess of 1%. As a result, we were unable to make an offer on the necklace. This was explained to you by telephone and the small necklace was returned to you at a charge of £10, to cover packing and fully insured postage, deducted from the monies that we sent to you for the purchase of the other item. The return was posted out to you on the following Monday as we do not like to have jewellery sitting in the Royal Mail system over weekends.
On 22/03/2023 you sent us a further parcel of gold jewellery. When tested, one of the bangles was found to contain only trace amounts of gold and was therefore not of interest to us. This was explained to you by telephone and you were given the option to have this bangle returned to you for a £10 fee or we would dispose of it at no charge. You chose to have the bangle returned to you and the fee was deducted from the monies that we sent you for the purchase of the other items.
There is a world of difference between us declining to purchase an item and that item being worthless! We did not tell you that the necklace was worthless, simply that it was of no value to our company due to the Cadmium content.
Why would we offer to dispose of an item with high Cadmium content? It obviously had a value elsewhere and we fully expected to return it to you, as we did.
We deal with similar scenarios on a daily basis. If we offered to ‘dispose of’ items that had value, these review pages would quite rightly be alive with outraged reviews. They are not!
You were not informed in a recent telephone conversation that we never offer to dispose of items that we do not buy. We do often offer to dispose of unwanted items that are plated or have no precious metal content rather than the customer paying a £10 fee to have an item returned.
Your review has been substantially edited since your conversations with our managers. However, your snide innuendo and manipulation of facts, together with the quoting of incorrect numbers has continued.
If your version of events was true and we had acted so despicably by offering to dispose of your valuable item, why oh why would you send a second parcel of jewellery to us less than two months later?
Our customers and potential customers who read your review will make up their own minds as to which version of events is more credible and will doubtless also look at your review history with Trustpilot.

I posted my gold on 13.4.23 and at 3pm on 14.4.23 I got a phone call, from Sandy, offering me a great offer on my gold. I accepted the offer and the money was in my account that very day . Fabulous customer service from start to finish.

Very easy to use and efficient. Went on website, ordered a pack put gold inside, sent it off and rang me with a price a few days later which I accepted. I spoke to a person called Sandee who dealt with my order. So yes if wanting to sell unwanted gold I'd recommend cash4gold.

This company are excellent to deal with and offer the best prices for your gold. They have a calculator to estimate the value of the gold before you send it to them, so they are transparent about what they are going to offer you, unlike some of the other companies! I sent my gold to them on the Saturday morning and by Monday afternoon had a call from them offering me exactly what I was expecting. The money is then in your account on the same day. I now wouldn't use anyone else if I have any more broken bits of jewellery to sell.

Great service. I sent my gold over about 4 weeks ago within 2 days of sending i got a call from a man called michael with the evaluation of my items. He was very plesant on the phone, explained everything to me well. I was very happy with the service i got would highly recommend.
This was my second time sending items in and like the first time i got a good price on my items.
