Shady Practices and No Support Access
I’ve been trying for over a month to switch off the following options on Caterer:
*Let recruiters find you on Caterer
*Allow recruiters to see your application history
Each time I try, I get the same message: “Something went wrong – try again later.”
First, these settings are turned on by default, which feels intrusive and unfair.
Second, this option being switched on by default only works one way, it benefits recruiters, not applicants, and feels more like a tool to drive site traffic than to genuinely support job seekers.
Third, there is no clear way to contact support about this issue, which makes it very frustrating.
Fourth. what happens if my current employer sees that I’m applying elsewhere?
This creates unnecessary risk for candidates.
Overall, the lack of control and transparency makes the platform feel untrustworthy.
