Great service support

We were very well supported by the Chancellors team in resolving a matter with our tenant. Sophie was very proactive and knowledgeable in identifying the issue and properly addressing it.

Clear and efficient service- easy and straightforward!

I have had an excellent experience with Chancellors, largely due to timely, clear and informed communication from Jenny Webb in Chancellors Central Admin Team. Jenny has been extremely efficient and proactive, sorting out our ID checks and sending the Terms of Business really quickly. Altogether it has been so easy getting everything done thanks to Jenny, and we have really appreciated this.

Saffron has been super helpful and honestly is one of the few who does reply emails and follow up promptly with calls when I do reach out to chancellors and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

I do see a clear difference in service when she’s following up versus various contact points. Will highly recommend and her service.

Owed £2500 by Chancellors / Landlord and not seen a penny in over 2 months

I moved out of a property two months ago and I am still waiting to recover both my overpayment of rent due to the move in date being mid way through my rental month, AND a £1900 deposit.

The agents have been very slow to chase either of these. They keep telling me that the overpayment is on its way to me, but as yet I haven't received it.

I left the property in very good condition, as it was when I moved in, and I have not been told what if any problems exist that the landlord wants to withold money for.
They are clearly a very poor landlord, and Chancellors know that they do this.

I would not advise you to rent with Chancellors in Oxfordshire.

I appreciate all the help and support provided

I have had quite a few questions and support requests towards two of our rental properties that will be occupied by tenants towards the end of January next year, and Rebecca Fields proved to be EXTREMELY helpful resolving most of the issues herself or contacting the relevant Chancellors staff that could resolve this issues I have been dealing with.

Landlords: AVOID AVOID AVOID

Landlords: AVOID AVOID AVOID!

This is a triad of incompetent and unprofessional individuals masquerading as a business. They are unable to calculate simple percentages correctly. Their relationship managers are combative and juvenile in their approach.

When my tenant paid rent, I had to chase with at least three emails for the rent to be 'located'. This then follows by a period when the money 'rests in their accounts' before a remittance is issued. Average time is 4 weeks from rent paid by tenants to remittence received. Account manager accuses you of not managing your finances correctly to take into account these delays!

Their business processes are dysfunctional. They allow work to be carried out (by their preferred contractors from which they charge commissions, I suspect) without the landlord permission, and then have the audacity to ask for payment. They even send reminders!

Every transaction with Chancellors is a frustration. Every exchange is unprofessional. Every calculation is wrong with a real uphill battle to convince their uneducated staff why 9% of £2000 is not £210!

I was told to CC some directors email in my communication. These directors never responded or intervened to make things right.

When I try to terminate the relationship they send a massive email to the tenants misleading them to think that their rights will be taken away, coercing them into continuing to pay into their account.

My tenants are amazing and I do not want to lose them. I have finally found a way out from that binding contract and have requested immediate termination.

I have never in my life dealt with such an incompetent and unprofessional organisation.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Great assistance

Rebecca Fields helped sort out an on-going issue with a new tenancy agreement quickly and efficiently. In the end she filled out the agreement so all I had to do was to fill in the personal details and sign it at the bottom. Done and dusted in about 5 minutes! Help much appreciated.

Great service from South East Property Management

I am pleased to say that Lauren Clancy at Chancellors South East Property Management has been very helpful recently in arranging electrical contractors to carry out urgent remedial works at my property following an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report). Since the first contractor was unable to do this work sufficiently soon, she promptly obtained an estimate from an alternative contractor, who has been able to agree a date to do the work much sooner.
Lauren has also swiftly raised an enquiry that I had concerning recent account transactions relating to a renewed tenancy with their accounts team, who have now resolved the issue to my satisfaction. I am very grateful to her for her assistance in dealing with these two matters.
My thanks also go to Molly Hunter at Chancellors for carrying on very recently the arrangement of an agreed date with the second electrical contractor to do the EICR remedial work.

Lucy at the Property Management Team is…

Lucy at the Property Management Team is excellent, any problem or issue with the rented property is dealt with swiftly and effectively.
This professionalism also applies to tenant issues, which are dealt with in the same manner.
As a landlord I can rely on Lucy!

Good customer Service

Our Property Manager Chelsey has always been very helpful, and especially so recently when we had tenants moving into 2 separate properties of ours just a week apart. Everything was handled for us professionally ensuring a smooth process.

Timely, helpful communication from start to finish!

I would like to give a special thanks to Amber Norman. We are currently in the process of bringing our house to the market to purchase our next home. Whilst we have been buyers before we have never been "sellers". We really valued Ambers efficient and helpful communication. We really felt that we were in the loop at every step of the process. Not only were we very well informed but we hugely appreciated the timeliness around getting our house on the market (less than 4 days start to finish!). Thanks very much for making a typically stressful process, as relaxed as it could be!
