Dont book through this company what…

Dont book through this company what ever you do. Wouldn't even give them 1 star. They are keeping peoples money returned from airlines and not passing the refund back. I am not the only one. I am now trying to push my local politicians into investigating them. They are taking tax payers money, jobkeeper , while ripping off Australians

STILL DREAMING OF GETTING OUR REFUND

We've been waiting for our refund for more than 40 weeks. Numerous emails sent to them, they are using generic template/auto reply to answer our query.
So frustrated...we have now reported the case to ACCC.
For those who experience the same problem, we encourage everyone to report to ACCC. Let them get the pressure from ACCC.

My experience with Checkmyfares has…been a disaster from the beginning

My experience with Checkmyfares has been one of frustration from the beginning.
We needed to cancel our flights due to covid & they would not refund at all then put a time frame on how long we had to use the credit. It wasn't within the time frame that allowed us to fly & when contacting them to ask for extension they had to provide as airline extended. They have charged me additional money to change the flights even though it was beyond our control.
I am aware that the current global crisis is a real problem but other travel agents that I have used before have been amazing in the midst of this challenge.
The countless emails between them & I have been exhausting. I ask specific questions & they do not answer directly at all.
Quick to take your money but no support or customer service beyond that.
I would NEVER recommend them to anyone & the only reason I am being forced to use them is they have my money.
They are incredibly unhelpful.
If you could put zero for service this is what I would write.

ALERT: Worst travel company

ALERT: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
Booked flight with Checkmyfares travelling with Virgin to Tokyo in June 2020 but flights got cancelled and flights to Japan still suspended.
Checkmyfares only issued credit must be used by Dec 2020 which is impossible. Checkmyfares also refused to issue refund which is totally unreasonable.
Highly recommend anyone and everyone to avoid using this company. Worst purchase and customer service experience I ever had in my whole life!

Checkmyfare.com is a fraud ticketing agent

Hi guys, I went through the comments, everyone has a same problem like mine they are not refunding the money. Does anybody have any idea to take a legal action against them? So that nobody have to face same problem in future or even we can claim our refund?

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 7 MONTHS FOR REFUND & KEEP BEING TOLD THEY CANNOT TELL ME WHEN IT WILL BE PROCESSED. OVER $6000 WORTH OF FLIGHTS THAT THEY WILL NOT REFUND EVEN WHEN THE AIRLINE CANCELLED THE FLIGHT, NOT US.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. I’ve been waiting for my refund since April and they are still saying it will still be more than 8 weeks. I’ve been given refund confirmations from the airline showing that check my fares have been refunded. I’ve had enough and will now be taking further action. They can’t just keep my money.

No refund made

No response regarding refund . Untrustworthy utworthy service never ever trying again to get a ticket
23rd march was when my ticket got cancelled to this day , no refund.

Is it even legal?

I booked 2 return tickets from Melbourne to L.A. with AirNZ with 2 separate travel agencies, JetAbroad and CheckMyFares. JetAbroad immediately refunded my money minus a $100 fee. CheckMyFares wants to charge me $600. Is it even legal? Let's see what the ACCC thinks.

WARNING Do not book with this company!

I booked a really expensive European holiday using this website. They said that I would receive a partial refund after they took a fee, which I accepted as all companies have had a hard time. 6 weeks in I emailed them to ask about the refund, and they replied that the refund has been cancelled. I have two days to accept flight credit and I need to make my bookings before the end of July 2020. Whilst no flights are operating globally.

I have never hoped a business goes bust more than this one.

I regret that I have booked with this…

I regret that I have booked with this unethical company. Airline (Qantas) has cancelled flights, authorised a full refund, inserted all appropriate codes and this agent wants to charge a cancellation fee. Worst travel agent experience ever. I have also reported them to the ACCC. They insist that if I do not accept their cancellation fee that I will be deemed a no show for the flight. These guys are seriously so misleading- how is this possible if the flight is cancelled and they keep on insisting. They refuse to also talk to me over the phone. Worst travel agent expirience ever

Please do not attend to reserve air ticket with them. Due to covid19, My flight was canceled and, they agreed to refund the cost of the ticket. Initially, they said refund will be credited to the originated account within 8 weeks. I check with the Singapore airline and they confirmed fully refund already being to the travel agent account. Now almost 12 weeks gone, and once I inquire the refund now checkmyfares says it's still under processing by Singapore airline and they can not say any fixed date to make the refund.

Never again would i use this agency . After Emirates cancelled the flight we were booked on and offered full refund or a voucher . Either we were happy with but CMF blamed the cancellation fee of $900 on the ticketing company . What a load of BS .Most other reputable travel agents have waived any fee .

Unethical company, do not book with them

Cancelled the ticket due to Covid restrictions, airline fully refunded the money to CMF in February. Since then I am chasing for the money with then. 6 weeks ago their rep confirmed they have received the money. still they are holding it unethically. Biggest mistake to book with them.

Cheaters - Airlines has refunded but they haven’t...

Airlines has refunded them full amount almost 8 weeks ago. Check my Fares had agreed to refund me after deducting 60$ in 6-8 weeks. That period is also past, now these cheaters are saying we don’t know when I’ll get the refund and how much because it is with some other internal team.

Will take them to ACCC, have recorded all the evidences.

Absolute disgrace!

Absolute disgrace!! This company is taking advantage of people in a time of crisis. They are an Aussie company and clearly don't share the same good hearted morality that most other Aussies do. I booked tickets for a trip to Italy for my wife and I the tickets cost approx $2500 and they are offering me a return of $168 per ticket if i cancel. I am going to post this review to as many relevant sites as possible this company is a disgrace.

Dishonest business practices

Dishonest and illegal business practices!

I had booked return flights on Virign from Sydney to Melbourne (return) in December last year and due to COVID-19 these were cancelled by the airline.

When I contacted CheckMyFares to request a refund or flight credit they instead kept changing my booking to new flights even though there are new laws and restrictions currently in place which don't permit interstate travel. This means that the flights they changed me to are reserved for and restricted to people who are required to travel for essential reasons only - ie. medical or emergency service personal or people travelling on compassionate grounds or for family care reasons.

These restrictions are clearly stated on government and Virgin websites however CMF is now claiming they've solved the problem so will not honour a refund.

Their solution is 'illegal' and they're refusing to acknowledge this or provide any compensation.

I have reported them to the ACCC.
