Good quality remote consultation
I arranged a remote telephone consultation to confirm the insulation I had planned was correct, and the consultant was very helpful, adding DIY and cost saving tips and recommendations. Would recommend as consultants if you are in a similar situation

Working with CLPM has been a pleasure. Rob is knowledgeable but, very importantly, he is also willing to listen and to communicate his expertise. By creating a heating system design in advance we realised that the floor layouts in the building regulations drawings needed to change. This enhancement will definitely help the construction phase run more smoothly.

You need to be clear what you are looking for
I really wasn't sure that these guys could help me, but I decided to go ahead so as to try and make progress. Although they came up with a few ideas, they didn't come up with anything that was both useful and any where close to what I wanted to spend. I ended up getting better, more practical advice from another company for free.

The title of your review probably sums up the experience well - it can be tricky to provide an optimum solution when exactly what's needed is unclear. That said, we always endeavour to keep asking questions to get as much clarity as possible, to provide the best advice that we can based on the information available. We're pleased that you did manage to identify the right specialist to help with your specific enquiry. Interesting that the advice was free - we generally only see that when the organisation is able to sell one of their products as part of a solution. Being independent of any supplier of products means that is not an option for us.

Practical considered advice
The surveyor quickly understood what we were trying to achieve and helped explain the different approaches available to fulfil those goals. Good, prompt communication, understandable survey report. Very helpful as a first step in planning to improve the "green" standards of our home.
