Costcutter Avis 78

Went to our local village costcutter to buy some kindling to light my fire.....big mistake.
£7.00 for a small bag of firewood.
Absolutely disgraceful.....back to the main supplier from
now on £3.00.
Costcutter should change its name !!

Hello yesterday I went into costcutter 23-25 Birchfield Rd Birmingham and I bought 2 cornmeal cornmeal cost £2.25 and a magnum costs £4.99 and I put the cormeal in my bag and ask for the Magnum that he had behind the counter and he said" oh I never charged you for this.
Knowing that I paid £9 odd for the goods I stormed out. I later returned to get the same story so I bought another one. Thinking that I may have never saw it properly I checked the bank and it was me out of pocket. I feel better talking to someone about it because I don't want to be shrugged off dumb. There you have it it I paid it but never received it.

Just tried to place a return with Evry inside of Costcutter Altrincham Town Centre. When I asked the till guy if the machine is working he said yes but he can’t take more deliveries because he has no space to store them (it was a small envelope with a watch band inside)
Never ever will walk into a Costcutter again

I parked in the store carpark on Southwell Road Mansfield out side the store and a rude member of staff blocked me in and wouldnt move her car. This woman swore at me. I've got this on video and I'll post it on Facebook and YouTube. I've advised all my friends and family to boycott this store.

costcutters more like pricerisers

Appalling service from a man at the counter today. I went to buy a product which had no price label, so I went to ask him. He was agitated and told me that the price is there... I took a photo with my mobile and showed him that there was no price and I wanted to know how much a product costs before buying... He replied angrily that he sells it without the price, then "Are you buying it?" I asked him politely why is he so angry with me. I only wanted to find out the price... After a minute of trying to find out what is happening, and why is he upset, I ask to speak with the manager - he said he was the manager wearing a white cap and a t-shirt with the logo BOSS... I asked for his name he refused to say.
I left the product and went to buy it at another local shop near the bus stop.
I shall never spend money in this miserable shop and a careless and awful staff who never smile and are very unhappy.
The "manager" needs some serious customer service training.
What a shambles!
Thanks to the competitive businesses around where I can buy what I need.

Would be nice if you made sure your staff at the Jardine Crescent store in Coventry weren't sexist!
They only say hello to MEN!
If I didn't have to go there I certainly wouldn't.

I have been served 3 times in the last week by THREE pleasant, friendly male staff members.
One older gentleman who was very polite and nice, and one or two younger men who again were very pleasant and spoke.
It seems only the miserable ignorant one in his 30's (?) is showing the whole store up..
I'm pleasantly surprised by this change. (4/8/23)

I have been going to the Chelmsford store for 10 years and I have been very pleased with the way I am treated very professional

HORRIBLE hair cut at Cost Cutters. Stylist was to just trim waist-length hair, but hacked off short lengths on both sides of my face in a frankly defacing manner. No explanation. NEVER TAKE THE RISK OF GOING TO COST CUTTERS. It will take 2 to 2.5 years to repair the damage done.

New male staff member is a bitterly miserable individual. Nobody in the store and spent a crazy amount of time staring at shelves leaving me waiting for ages even though he could see me waiting.

I know I am up north but this one’s is a particularly bitter northern grunt.

My stylist Jennifer did a great job on my haircut and style today. She was also pleasant and friendly. It was a good experience

At 18.15hrs 21/11/22 I was passing Cost Cutter in Teelin Close St Mary's Bay Kent when I saw one of the workers emptying discarded paper. Whilst doing this he dropped a large amount on the floor and then was returning into the shop. I advised him that if he left it there it would blow all down our street as it was windy. His reply was f off and mind your own business. I replied that it was my business especially as I pick litter throught the area. His attitude was offensive and rude. His actions will have been recorded on their cctv.

Total rip off. Most things at least a euro dearer than everything else. Never again.

No complaints as to service or helpfullness of staff,Great Bromley is a new store and the range is improving all the time,
The name of Costcutter is deceptive and I am sure breaches trading standards ,All prices are well above Standard store prices includind Co-op, Milk is over a pound for 2 pints os semi skimed ,everywhere else is 89-80p \ Most items are over 10% more expensive hence my marking .

Costcutter in Edenbridge don,t take parcels anymore , even though they are on the website and have a sign outside saying they do they they haven,t bothered to remove!
If you have a winning lottery ticket, they always say machine has broken unless you want to purchase, well dodgy!!!

I bought some oranges marked as coop oranges
It was only when I got home I realised the date on the packaging said best before 23/07/201 I purchased them on the 10/08/2021
Obviously best before dates mean nothing to this store and this is not an isolated incident I have noticed other items well out of date truly shocking

Zero conversation, no eye contract, 100% non customer focus. Recommend your staff receive training on the words please and thank you.
This happened on two separate visits to the store with no other shoppers in store, so no excuse for being busy. I will not be back.

I wouldn't even give them one star, but I have to so I can post. There is no justification for any item to cost £2 more than local supermarkets. Complete RIP off.

I went to my local costcutter in boothstown. Honestly a horrible experience, the staff were so rude and absolutely no help . Safe to say I shall not be going there again .
