Easy to use the portal and service
The portal is very easy to use, and the only reason I haven't given it five stars is that I think it could be clearer on the website that it's best to choose a bike, budget, and store before signing up.
I initially selected a budget of £600 as a rough estimate, assuming I would be able to change it later if needed. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible. As a result, once I had visited a few bike shops and looked at the available options, I found myself limited to bikes within that original budget.
I would have liked the flexibility to increase my budget after visiting different stores and comparing bikes, but I was unable to do so because I had already committed to the £600 limit at the start of the process, before choosing a bike.
My recommendation to future users would be to shop around first, decide on the bike you want, choose the store you intend to buy from, and then sign up using the exact budget required for that purchase.
Other than that, the service is excellent and the portal is straightforward to use. Thank you.

This is a great incentive and perk of any job. It makes the cost of a new bike affordable and accessible. Plus being able to bolt on any helmets or equipment needed is a plus. Very good idea.

Easy process

First time using the scheme
First time using the scheme, It would be a lot easier for all concerned to be able to just issue a e-voucher for say £1500 that could then be used in any bike retailer that has signed up to the scheme

When a customer first applies online for a certificate they do not have to select a specific retailer but once the application has been approved by their employer and the employer has paid the upfront invoice the customer does then have to then select a specific retailer when they generate their certificate. This is to ensure the correct retailer gets paid when the certificate is redeemed.

Really simple to do i am very happy
the actual sign up is easy the customer service is good as well when you call.
I would say research the exact value of the bike because it needs to be correct.
I am riding the 4 miles to work each day on a new ebike and save a large amount of money doing so

This was so amazing
This was so amazing, I got my bike refurbished and since there was some money left, the remaining was left on a gift card that I can use for any future service.

What a great idea !
What a great idea !! I'd be meaning to join the scheme for a few years but my wife's illness and the need to get out and about along with not being able to travel overseas made it important to follow through with it ! I'm delighted with my bike and looking forward to getting out and about .

Works ok sort of.
Worked fine in that I got the bike through work. But once I had submitted my application the cycle scheme account site becomes some sort of accessories retail site and anytime I wanted to log in to my account I was taken there. When I called their help line he was useless telling me I had to get my company to do something to get me logged in again. I didn’t need to do so. The bike came as expected. So they do the job but don’t bother trying to log in to your account once you submit the application and it’s approved. But if you do need to it could be difficult. Use another scheme if you have a choice.
(Folowing the reply below I'm adding: Thank you for this explanation which clarifies the matter. I don't know why there are no records of my issue as I phoned your number on 3rd July and spoke to someone who obviously did not understand the issue and so could not give an explanation as you have now.
All sorted now anyway thank you.

Unfortunately, I cannot see any notes on the account regarding the issues you have had, however to try and shed some light on this.
Cyclescheme is hosted on our benefits platform called Extras. Extras contain a lot of the other benefits we offer, however you would have a personal dashboard that holds the benefits you have interacted with/used (in this case Cyclescheme).
When you request a certificate, you are also creating an Extras login, however your employer has chosen to manually approve these logins (which is where the issue/delay would have come from), and why you where told to speak to your employer directly.
I hope that sheds some light on what I believe happened here.
