According to The manager at DFS…

According to The manager at DFS Stretford Manchester, Felixstowe port has been closed for weeks and my sofas are stuck in a container. According to the Port of Felixstowe they do not have a problem backed up by Grant Shapps earlier today. Nice to know this petty little manager is not running the country.
Next stop the furniture ombudsman, probably Martin Lewis and definitely my bank if they try to tell me I shall wait twenty one days for my money back.
I am totally confused now as there tracking site told me they only went into production on these sofas seven days ago

Well this is a further update on the 2…

Well this is a further update on the 2 plonkers that delivered during the week. They were the 2 if you remember said the sofas wouldn't under any circumstances go into house and at my daughters expense she would have to call in glazier to remove window d/g unit.
On reading her plight people came to her aid to see if they could help and we would like to mention the company who recently installed her bathroom.

He told her his friend would do it for nothing.
Well finally after hours of phoning and perseverance I got the manager that had previously tried to help name ASH I told him that in the brochure the armrests came off and there was no need for windows to come out as after all the 2 old sofas came from DFS and were 3cm of a difference! ASH checked website and sure enough armrests were removable so he arranged with distribution manager to have them removed at depot and delivery took place this a.m
This time it was DFS on men brought them into living room and fitted armrests too away packaging fitted silicone pads and off they went.
During this horrendous experience there has only been one sympathetic person who tried to help and that was ASH the rest didn't want to know.
I would now urge all prospective customers to rethink where you purchase from as this company are THE WORST I've ever had to deal with.
The lies with the constant holding on costing the customer I dread to think what my telephone bill is going to be.
BUYER BEWARE YOU HAVE BEEN INFORMED

Shocking service, go elsewhere

Ordered and paid in full for an armchair costing £1400 in August 2020. Promised delivery from UK factory by early November. Informed in November chair was on a boat being delivered from abroad due in dock mid November. Mid December still waiting. Just don't trust a word your told and definitely don't hand over any cash on advance!

Shoddy workmanship

Bought 2 leather recliner chairs 2 years ago and within 6 months had to have them restuffed. Then the frame broke. Still waiting for a repair over 6 months later and even with the pandemic I feel this is excessive. Can’t get through to complain again.

Almost damaged my laptop and put my at risk of COVID-19

They delivered a sofa to my address and the rude drivers snapped at me when I opened the door for not moving the JUNK mail out of the way. When putting in my sofa, he knocked over lamp and it my laptop with a crash. NO APOLOGIES AND THEY WERE NOT WEARING MASKS when I scurried to check if it was ok. When I complained the store manager tried to give a free £30 sofa kit, which I didn't feel was appropriate at all. I called again to challenge this and the person whom I spoke to did not record the incident forcing me to call again the following the day. I spoke to someone on Saturday through their social media whom after emphasising that they were not wearing their masks refunded me their delivery charge. Exhausting and disgusting that they would put a vulnerable person and their property at risk.

Really poor customer service

Really poor customer service. just one phone line so never able to call the store that you are trying to get through to. Despite delays of a month, DFS are not proactive in keeping you updated. When they do leave a voicemail asking them to call them back, you call back and no one knows what it is regarding.
Still waiting for my two sofas to arrive and really regretting the purchase.

World's worst customer service.

World's worst customer service.
Long and short of it I had a sofa delivered 6 months after my order which turned up with stains on it.
3 times they have tried to remove only to be told it needs reupholstered and after they took a sample they came 6 weeks later with the wrong material and said someone will be in contact 2 months later and many phone calls later each time being told someone will call and yet nothing. I then have gone in store 3 times and each time I've been told I will be contacted the following day and still nothing they also told me it will be another 3 months before they can put this right prior to them not calling me. I have to say I've never had such poor customer service in my life and borderline dumping the sofa outside the store. Avoid and choose another company... Shambles!

Staff the make you feel unwelcome

I walked into the store longwell green Bristol to order 2x sofa. The sell guy choose to ignore me and serve another older couple. Perhaps he thought they were going to buy and wasn't. So i asked another lady (not in normal uniform) to ask for help. As i sat on another sofa deciding which one yo buy, i still wasnt approached. So find the lady again to place my order. She then directed me the the young man that had ignore me in the first place. So i asked her if they work on commission? I explain there was no way i place my order and give the young commission from my order. To be honest ive been to another sofa store and they are so helpful and friendly. DFS made me feel very unwelcome. Shame really as i was planning on ordering right then. But for me to have to find staff to help and take my order is terribly poor. They company must be loosing alot of money from awful customer service.

Terrible customer service!

Ordered our bed in May & was told 8 weeks, potentially 6. Waited 14 weeks, but I had to keep calling for an update. They never got in contact with us once to inform us of any delays. Tried using the pandemic as an excuse, but I ordered it mid pandemic & was told 6-8 weeks. As all colonies, continuously using the pandemic as a excusing tool. The bed was delivered with the wrong feet. 9 weeks later & we still don’t have the feet. The lady said they would get someone to come out to fit them & I said to save them the hassle just post them and we will sort it. Still hasn’t made any difference. The bed we purchased was over £1000! Very disappointing. It’s already started creaking!

DFS marble tables .

Had two marble tables delivered this morning 16/10/20 . Received a call saying they were on their way .
Arrived promptly, The two lads were faultless, very professional and courteous, They assembled the very heavy tables with ease , removed all packaging once completed.They thoroughly checked the tables before leaving. I’m sorry to see other reviews which are negative but I can honestly say from ordering to receiving everything has gone smoothly, regular updates along the way .

Awful product and customer service

Purchased a sofa and chair last year. Specifically checked before we purchased that it was firm - sit on rather than sink into. The sofa is ok, but the chair is very definitely sink right into and very much what we didnt want.
Store manager came round to check on it and said it is fine, it should do that and didnt care at all that we had checked firmness prior to buying and got totally the opposite of our request. Said he preferred a sink into chair and everything was ok.
Guess it was our mistake for thinking customer counted rather than staff opinion.

I bought a 3 seater Sansha sofa which…

I bought a 3 seater Sansha sofa which arrived 14th sept. Five days later two of the three seats had collapsed meaning you rolled when you sat on them and there was a large gaps between these two seats but not on the other side. That was after 5 days. I rang the store who arranged for an upholsterer to come out. He came yesterday, agreed it was faulty and tried to tell me I needed two new cushions. I told him I wanted a full refund as it wasn’t fit for purpose. It was less than two weeks old. Because I was refusing his recommendation I had to call the store and speak with the manager. Fifteen minutes on hold to be told all lines were busy so a message was ,eft for them to call me back. No one did. Another 15 minutes this morning only to be cut off. So I went over there (had surgery two weeks ago). Spoke with the manager who said the report and photos would need to go to the manufacturer to “agree” it was faulty. They are trying to sell me new cushions. I have never bought from them before and I won’t ever again. The sofa is shoddy and the customer care diabolical.

I had my last settee for 15 years from another company and never had a problem with it.

DFS is a disgrace.

Disgusting

Disgusting.
We placed an order 15 weeks ago and paid in full. Roughly a month later to discover they ordered us the large sofa, which we didn’t ask for and certainly wouldn’t fit in our house easily. We called the ashford branch to give them the opportunity to resolve their mistake. We were faced with confrontational and rude staff saying we would have to wait a further 12 weeks minimum for a new order and wouldn’t get much refunded anyway ( implying we were just trying to get some money off which is an insult) which resulted in us saying to forget about it and we would make it work due to myself being pregnant, extremely stressed and couldn’t bare the thought of sitting on the floor for even longer. We complained to head office about the manner we were spoken to to which the horrible woman in the ashford branch breached our confidentially and called my partner to confront him about the complaint.
The time came where the email update advised it would be in the warehouse on the 8/9/20 ( 14 weeks after the order was placed ) I chased this up on the 13th and nobody could seem to tell me where the order was however the table had arrived in the warehouse. 4 calls, 3 emails and 15 weeks later trying to get some information about the disappearance of our sofa we were bluntly told it would be around the end of the month. Finally we received a call from dfs to tell us that someone had cancelled the order and it doesn’t exist which makes no sense to me as the table had arrived ?. Maybe the woman who confronted us about our complaint cancelled it ? I don’t know. We were then told we have to wait three weeks for a full refund and would we like to pick another sofa instead, of course we said no and wish to have nothing to do with DFS ever again and would like to our anyone else of doing so. We haven’t received an official apology from anyone and now have to wait for our refund ( which they have said they would try and make quicker ) to order a new sofa which seems to be 14 weeks from anywhere else. I am so upset by their behaviour and just feel completely deflated.

Slow, very slow service

Bought lounge sofa set and have had to wait 4 months for. If i was made fully aware of the timescale I would happily and more easily made a removal firm collection. Despicable service!

What customer care ?!?

Their branch in Hove, sold my 85 years old mother, sofa, coffee table, chairs and dinning room table at the cost of over 3 grand. Their assistant manager, Andrew had promised delivery of the chairs in two weeks which he subsequently denied !!!
Their call centre in Warrington is staffed by rude, aggressive and damn right incompetent people.
In the meantime Mum cannot move into her downsized accommodation, having sold her house...
The invoices have been paid in full, so that the furniture can be “released from warehouse”, yet nobody could give us a delivery date...!!
Staff like their assistant manager, Andrew, are there to meet their sales targets at all cost, regardless on the impact for their customers. Customer care/ service is an alien concept for DFS.
