I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the recent experience I’ve had regarding your product. Frankly, I feel that I have been misled and cheated.
It is extremely disappointing to see that the product has started to fail almost immediately after the 2-year warranty period ended. This strongly suggests that the item was manufactured with a lifespan just enough to cover the warranty, without any genuine commitment to long-term quality or customer satisfaction. Such practices are deceptive and unethical.
I invested in this product with the expectation of reliability and durability, not something that would conveniently break down the moment the warranty expires. This experience has severely damaged my trust in your brand and raised serious concerns about your quality control and integrity.
I demand a proper investigation into this matter and a resolution that reflects fair treatment of your customers. I expect either a full repair, replacement, or reimbursement, regardless of the expired warranty, as the timing and nature of this failure clearly point to a deeper issue.
I hope to receive a prompt and fair response. .

We ordered a setter and 2 chairs waiting seven months over two grand just over 12 months and find the setter is sagging also the two chairs are not right waited a month for some guy to have a look was here ten minutes told us it was wear and tear should not have gone like this after just over 12 month he said they can not any thing how bad is this

Don’t believe them when they say 3 months for delivery! 1-2 weeks prior to delivery the date DFS will move it to a much later date…not good.

Probably the worst shopping experience of my life!!
Sofa arrived damaged after a 5 month wait. Sent a service engineer to be told the sofa had been dropped and would be contacted when replacement parts were in. Decided to contact customer service because wasn’t happy with a repair, they reordered and eventually arrived after a four month wait the wrong colour!!! Was told that it was the correct colour it was the matting underneath I was looking at. Today they re delivered the sofa and guess what!! Wrong colour leather so sent it back again. This time with photos taken we’ve decided to take the matter further.

DFS service excellent your delivery service appalling dragging both Sofa on concrete to enter house - damage caused now have to wraith 6 weeks for an assessor to arrive!

I ordered a suite from DFS
I ordered a suite from DFS. they sent a text and also called me to say that the furniture will be delivered on 19/01/22.
they then called me to say it would be 17/01/22.
Once again they text me to ask me to call them, for which i did. I WAS TOLD on the phone, delivery is 02/02/22. i have pasted the texts i recieved over a 1 week period:

Do not buy from this Company, I have already had to put several negative reviews on this site as I was told my sofa was being delivered, on day it never arrived and no one knew why. I was told to clear my lounge so I did the day before and took old sofa to the tip. I was told my sofa is in China even though they claim they are hand crafted in the UK. I was without a sofa for nearly 2 months and then one arrived. It was the incorrect sofa in an L shape, one half was silver the other part of the L Beige. No one bothered to contact me to apologise or sort out, I had to bombard their customer service for answers and was told the managers are too busy now to speak with me as it Christmas. Eventually after a week someone got back to me and said they haven't got a clue where my sofa is but will try find it, give me a few days. We are now 6 months on and I've had the wrong sofa sat in my house going into month 2, 6 months months on from my original order. I got a call Mid December to say they had located the other half of my sofa and it was in Warrington warehouse. They said it would be delivered on 28th December. This date came and a driver turned up to say he was taking away the whole sofa and not delivering the correct one. I said if you take this one away it will be another 4 months without a sofa in my lounge as that's the minimum time for DFS to get my sofa to me, which would make it 6 months without a sofa as DFS originally told me to get rid of my old sofa. Its now 10 days on since the delivery driver was supposed to drop my the other half of my sofa off and I've heard nothing from DFS. Not one call to say sorry or to tell me why a driver came to take away the old sofa or give me any explanation. This Company has no interest in its customers or customer service and all they want is your money. How can 6 months after I've ordered a sofa i still haven't got the sofa I ordered, how can they tell me to clear my lounge as the sofa is arriving the next day 5 month after I ordered and then it doesn't arrive as its still in china, how can DFS then bother to make any contact or apology, How can DFS when I finally got through to DFS to be told by a manager that it isn't their fault my sofa hasn't arrived, how can DFS when they delivered one half of my sofa silver the other half beige say they are too busy to speak with me as its Christmas, how can DFS then say they have found my other half of sofa 6 months after I ordered and then say they will deliver it but turn up to take away the original sofa they delivered and bring my correct other half, how can DFS leave me with no sofa to sit on between 2-6 months if they take the old one away and make a new one as they've lost mine, how can DFS 10 days after and now 6 months later after not delivering the correct half not even make contact with me to apologise or even recognise the fact their driver turned back up to the warehouse without picking up the old sofa. This company has got to be the worst company I have ever dealt with and with the amount of complaints on Trust Pilot and Facebook I am going to push for this company to be investigated by the Media, what ever you do, do not buy from this company. Below is DFS response on Trust Pilot, they believe they have resolved and I had a concern!!!!! They have lied to everyone on Trust Pilot as my sofa wasnt delivered and I didn't have a concern that was addressed, i still don't have my sofa.

As DFS maintain that their furniture is manufactured and built to order I trusted that they meant the UK. My sister ordered and paid £909 for an electric recliner chair due to health issues I was experiencing in July 2021 to date I have had one failed delivery 21/10 and since then no indication of when this chair is going to be dispatched. Today 26.11.2021 I have been informed that my recliner chair is being 'shipped in from abroad' and still have not idea when it will even arrive in the UK. I have applied to DFS today for a full refund and absolutely disgusted that I have been misled. There is nothing that indicated my order would be made/or come from anywhere but the UK.

TOLD 12-14 weeks no date yet for delivery and its just coming up to 16 weeks for all you potential customers out there dont do it .They are irresponsible retailers and dont care at all .giving you 3-4 different dates for your purchases to be in a local distribution centre and then changed the day before to a month 5 weeks further away lost all faith in them now and am going for a refund
Diabolical customer service
As others have said, customer service is abysmal. Surly call centre staff (currently working from home, the reason given as to why you can't speak to a manager, because they can't put you through to one from home) haven't got a clue or can't be bothered to find out what is going on with your delivery. Once the order is placed and paid for, good luck! That's where their interest ends. It will take at least half an hour to get through to speak to someone and everyone you speak to tells you something different, it's infuriating. I have experienced ordering from both DFS and a local independent furniture store at the same time for two different properties and the service is polar opposite! If you think you'll be in better hands with this national chain then think again. My parallel ordering experiences couldn't be more different and I recommend looking for an independent store over DFS hands down.
