Friendly staff efficient service well laid out store

Stephen Lappin is such an excellent employee. Friendly abd knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble for him. He is an asset to the gardening section.

Great selection of plants to buy every different size, colour and fantastic selection of varieties.

Brought back two echinacea which I had bought last season and still in original pots with dobbies labels intact. They had failed to thrive. The staff were courteous and manager authorised credit for to choose replacement value items

The store did not have what was required.

Over all the experience in the garden Center was very good, however the restaurant was a bit of a disappointment, we had a roast beef Sunday lunch which looked lovely on the plate. First the plate wasn’t heated, so the meal was cold by the time we got to a table, had to ask staff to heat it up for us. Food on the floor in several areas of the restaurant. A sparse amount of cutlery in the cutlery trays, and to top it off the beef was very gristly and not very nice.
So considering we traveled 25 miles to have Sunday lunch and an afternoon out!!!! We may be back but I doubt it will be for lunch.

Great garden centre, with plenty of plants to pick from. Love the selection of indoor plants. Always find something exotic I haven’t seen before.
Always stop in and get a coffee & bun in the cafe as a treat.

Wonderful service , I had a lot of questions and the gentleman at the garden centre was very knowledgeable and guided me well. The checkout staff was also extremely happy and helpful.

My husband and i visited on Sun. We had a lovely roast dinner and cake.
I had lost my 'birthday voucher' for a free tea and scones and the manager told me i could get another one if i emailed Dobbies.

Everyone in the restaurant is helpful, friendly and doing their best on what was a very busy day

As a garden centre you have a good selection of plants but as a cafe you never have enough staff which means food and drinks are cooled.

I always find Dobbies a great place to spend an hour or two. Plants are of a high quality and staff are always on hand for help and advice.

Visited recently. Couldn’t get what I had gone out for but bought cactus repotting soil. One person on a till so quite a queue built up. Decided then to have a coffee. We described the eating area as soulless. So many tables needed cleared and nothing about the whole area was welcoming. Covid couldn’t be the reason surely.

Lovely place great food pleasant and helpful and friendly atmosphere and service and staff

Restaurant should go back to table service as queuing for hot food then drinks meal is cold by the time you get queued to pay then pick a table. Send your staff to Dobbies at lasswade edinburgh and they will see a quality store with quality service.

Had to go looking for a staff member in the garden area when I found someone he was very helpful. The toilets in the Lisburn shop don't seem to be checked anymore they could be a lot better.

Find great ,lots off good looking plants. But not enough tills open when busy

Great store. Well laid out. Very clean and tidy. No long waits at the checkout.
