Helpful and pleasant staff
Clean toilets

Popped in to see if they had some particular Christmas decorations that I had purchased for myself but my sister decided she'd like some too. Was able to buy what I wanted and use my Dobbies Card to get a discount. Very happy - as is she.

We had lunch in Seasons Restaurant and staff member Angela helped us with trays to our table. She is a very caring lady and has helped us on previous visits. Also we found what we wanted in the garden centre.

Went to buy our Xmas decorations and tree there this year. (Shepton Mallet). Wide selection friendly staff. Happy customer.

Always an interesting garden centre and store with perfect cafe.

Only visited the restaurant this time .cakes excellent. Downside is the last two visits I've asked for capachino and got latte so maybe little more staff training plus usually a long queue so more staff really needed.

Lots of plants, etc to see. Also good restaurant to have a coffee break. A calm place to wander.

The cashier was a lovely lady who persuaded me to enroll for a Dobbies card without pressure 🤗

no staff around to help, seems still have staff shortage have pointed this out before, puts too much pressure on few staff there, waiting too long in restaurant, only 1 person serving, you need someone separate to do drinks, this was not a problem pre covid, why must it be now, this is a busy store, only place to eat in local area, popular, food gets cold too quick used to be quality, since covid really gone downhill

Good selection of plants and other items. Coffee shop always clean and good choice of food.

Lovely dinner, also bought plants with extra points added.

We went there for our monthly coffee. eating area clean and nicely furnished. Array of food appetising. Whole serving area clean. Could still do with more serving staff e.g. a person to stay on till and not try and do till and make drinks, not fair on staff or customers. No tomato ketchup satchets for our chips!!!!! Garden plant area well stocked. Sadly wanted to buy a new regatta jacket in the sale but none in my size, unless I was a small size. Very disappointed as they were a bargain in the sale.

Prices are reasonable and the staff we had dealings with were extremely helpful and curtious.

I went to the Dobbies in Shepton Mallet and usually quite enjoy the experience (although the cafe can be a bit like a works canteen at times).
This time I wanted a nice quiet wander around but ended up leaving after about 10 minutes because the music was so loud. It was being piped out over a tinny tannoy system and was especially loud in the outdoor plant section. When I asked a member of staff about it, she told me it's piped in from head office and even they find it too much. She also said it's often 'innappropriate' and feels like she's working in a nightclub. Perhaps Dobbies need to think a lot more about their customer demographic and what makes a soothing experience that will not leave people leaving with a headache.

We visited the cafe on Wednesday 9 August 2023. Service was appalling. Huge queues with customers sending back meals as they were cold having been kept waiting for so long for their drinks
Insufficient staff trying their best to do everything with no management support.
We only wanted hot drinks and when they arrived they were slopped in the saucers.
We will not be coming here again.

Very slow service and poor layout, in cafe. Only 2 members of staff working their nuts off trying to keep up with the queue.
