dorset cereals are a team of cereal lovers that produce a range of mueslis and granolas. We're proud to be from Dorset, a place that has inspired the taste, texture and flavour of our products.

What a shame, to take a great brand and a great product and trash it. Were they hoping no one would notice, do they care about nothing but profit? I have just been googling what’s going on with Dorset, as I have treated myself to a small sprinkle of Honey Granola on my yoghurt for years and I loved it. I was willing to pay the quite high cost because it was so delicious. The last few weeks have felt like chewing a mouthful of cardboard and I won’t be buying it any more. What are the new owners thinking? Their loyal customers will desert them, and they are unlikely to attract many new ones at this price point. Strange and sad, but at least it’s finally spurred me on to make my own granola.
Simply Nutty ingredients comparison speaks for itself:
new:
Wholegrain OAT Flakes, Wholegrain Toasted WHEAT Flakes (22%), Nuts (Whole & Sliced ALMONDS (9%), CASHEW pieces (5%), Chopped Roasted HAZELNUTS (3%)), Barley Flakes, Raisins, Wholegrain WHEATFlakes.
old:
Wholegrain Oat Flakes, Chopped Dates (19%), Barley Flakes, Wholegrain Toasted WheatFlakes, Wholegrain Wheat Flakes, Nuts [Chopped Roasted Hazelnuts (2.5%), Whole Almonds (2.5%), Chopped Brazil Nuts (1.5%)], Sunflower Seeds (2.5%).
Downgrade in quality, done sneakily. After many years as a loyal customer I have lost trust in this brand. The new much worse quality doesn't warrant the price.
So disappointed with the changes!!! Why fix something that wasn’t broken? I really dislike the new branding as well. The new recipes are inferior in taste and I definitely don’t trust the ingredient list as much as I used to. The simple ingredients were the main reason I bought Dorset cereals over other brands. So so disappointed, I’m planning to make my own granola and myself from now on as no brand can seem to get it right without adding loads of rapeseed or sunflower oil and tonnes of sugar. Sad to see these changes.
Long time customer here. Blatant and foolish recent cheap reformulation and simultaneous shinkflation. M&S better quality and £3 cheaper per kilo.

Dorset Cereals until recently were easily the best muesli brand available in the UK and I have enjoyed all of their products for years. Bizarrely the entire range was given a complete reboot a few months ago and I'm sorry to say the new ranges taste cheap and inferior. In particular Fantastically Fruity is completely unrecognisable. Delicious plums, oats and roasted pecans replaced with cheap sugary generic tropical fruits and cheap wheat and barley grain. The new Gloriously Nutty and the Fruit and Nut range also taste cheap and generic. I have switched to a supermarket own brand berry muesli which costs significantly less and is of far superior quality. This is one of the most bizarre and misguided brand reboots I have ever seen.

I have been buying Dorset Cereals for years. Recently, the Muesli I buy disappeared from my store shelf for a few weeks only to return rebranded, smaller and with inferior ingredients. They have stolen a day’s breakfast from me - I now get 6 portions a week instead of 7!
I will now look for a replacement breakfast cereal.
Thumbs down for taking away Simply Delicious museli. I’ve been buying this for years. The replacement in the same colour box is not for me.
I used to love the Fantastically Fruity Muesli, until it was re-formulated and has now become unrecognisable (no surprise when you compare the ingredients list, it's a completely different product and infinitely worse). The plum, raspberry, cherry and all the seeds and nuts have disappeared and been replaced by pineapple, papaya, raisins and wheat flakes.
I still have an empty box of the old recipe so have been able to do a direct comparison of the ingredients below.
You can probably tell I am really, really, really disappointed and my breakfast has been ruined.
Ingredients (old recipe):
oat flakes, dates, apricots, plum, coconut chips, raspberry pieces, cherries, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, pecan nuts, almonds
Ingredients (new recipe):
oat flakes, sweetened papaya, sultanas, raisins, dates, sweetened pineapple, coconut chips, wheat flakes
What a con!

As a long term purchaser of Dorset Cerels Delicious Fruit & Nut I will not be buying this product any longer.
The recent changes saw the pack size reduce from 620g to 500g and the price go up. Worse still the product now contains less nuts and more cereal completely changing the recipe.
British Associated Foods are rip-off artists and should be sanctioned by the government.
Avoid at all costs.

Buy Gloriously Nutty but I won't be any more. Nothing glorious and nothing much nutty about the new recipe.
If there are inflationary pressures on your production put the prices up, not make the product rubbish!
I am so disappointed with Dorset Cereals. The Nutty Granola has no crunch and little taste and virtually no nuts. I have bought these cereals for several years but the quality has fallen drastically. Supermarket own brands are far superior and much more reasonably priced.
Been going down hill for years, shrinkflation across the range and now changing the recipe, the latest with the nutty Musli now tastes like wheatabix with a few nuts sprinkled in. M&S seem to sell a much broader range of the same products and at much better value.

I buy and like the muesli, however, i have been unable to buy any from my usual supermarket for the last 2/3 weeks.
Customer team not very forward with explanations with the exceptions that the recipes and packaging have changed....For the worse? Less is the usual : fewer nuts, fewer ..., less in weight...oh one 'more...more pounds !
I have read comments that the new recipes are not up to scratch at all. Might not be worth hunting for the muesli i cannot fin after all.

I've enjoyed Dorset Cereals Fantastically Fruity and Gloriously Nutty muesli for years. Not any more. The new recipes are neither Fantastic or Glorious. They can no longer claim to be a premium brand as they have downgraded the contents to the extent that supermarket own brand are now better...and cheaper.

Just had the latest rebranded fruity muesli….oh dear, I buy this muesli as it has always been great quality with lots of fruit, but now I may as well buy the cheapest muesli on the shelf, massively reduced fruit, lots more cheap crunchy texture. I would say no longer a premium offering at all.

Where has the fruit gone?? 'Fantastically Fruity' muesli ? sorry complete joke! They've obviously attempted to max profits and cut back. Dorset never did have a lot of fruit in it in the first place, but now it's beyond pathetic. I wont be buying any more.

Just had my first and last portion of the 'NEW ALLERGEN' simply delicious muesli. Why on earth have you messed up this previously lovely muesli. It is like eating dust, no brazil nuts, other nuts chopped up and much sweeter which I detest. To add insult to injury the cheeky dishonest firm have reduced the pack size from 650 g to 500 g!! over 20% less of an inferior product in the same size box to con customers. Far too expensive to start with and only ever bought when it was on offer as this was. Back to Alpen for me.
You have lost this customer and many will follow until you put yourselves out of business. What a shame the original recipe is lost to company greed.
I have loved Dorset cereals for a long time. I have been a fantastically fruity eater for a decade. I am saddened the the new recipe is so different. I would love opening a new box and you would immediately see the quality and the taste was fantastic so soft and fruity. The new recipe is crunchy and very little taste. I won’t be buying it again. Happy to pay more for the old recipe. For now off to look at other luxury brands. Good luck hope you sort it out. A long term fan.
My wonderful start up of the day cereal has turned to dust - literally!!
The latest purchase of Dorset Cereals ‘simply fruity muesli’ was literally and simply crushed unrecognisable flake dust in a bag, it lacked recognisable muesli, it contained no fruit, sweetness, identifiable tropical papaya, nor sweet pineapple, sultanas or raisins.
The packaging states Dorset Cereals selects the best quality and has rigorous processes and checks that sadly all seem evidently missing on this occasion. I will not choose this cereal again without reassurances that they are not taking my money under false pretences and the content of their product is as described on the box at the time of purchase.
To this end I went in search of a mutual resolution to this problem. The packaging stated of Dorset Cereals ‘were only human’ and they spend a lot of time ensuring our cereals reach you in perfect condition (obviously not on this occasion!) However nobody’s perfect, so if you’re unhappy in any way, just get in touch at their website.
I followed this instruction and was met with website under construction and a lot of complaints form other people who had similarly hit a brick wall of inability to communicate with Dorset Cereals quickly and efficiently.
The only other suggestion on the packaging is to write to them at Dorset Cereals (really - this is the 21st Century isn’t it!)
I am not confident from my research, the Freepost route will receive a written response, so I have resigned myself to giving up on a once upon a time real favourite of mine, sharing this very sad experience with you all and wishing you all the very best and a more perfect way to start your day than I have recently with a bowl of dust 🤗

What has happened to Dorset Cereals and why are they completely uncontactable?!!!
Their phone number doesn’t work, their website doesn’t work, it seems impossible to buy their Simply Fruity cereal, it’s no longer available in Tesco or Sainsbury’s, constantly saying unavailable and there seems to be no way to contact them. Very unhappy and disappointed.
