Worst experience possible!
Couldn't see the information being shared on teams so the instructor suggested i should leave the meeting and re-join. I was then left waiting in the lobby for 40 minutes. having tried to reboot my laptop, still couldn't get entry, tried logging in via my phone as well. I even phoned Drivetech to ask them to contact the instructor and ask him to invite me back in which they said was not possible.
Complete waste of my afternoon.

I attended the Speed Awareness Course on 31 August 2026, delivered by Tom Price, and found it an extremely worthwhile and informative experience.

Tom was an outstanding instructor. His many years of experience as a driving instructor were immediately apparent, and he was personable, knowledgeable, approachable and, above all, extremely professional. His engaging style made the course interesting and ensured that the key messages really resonated.

The most significant learning point for me was understanding the impact that even a very small increase in speed can have on overall stopping distance. The example comparing 30 mph with 31 mph, and the potential additional stopping distance of more than eight metres in the scenario demonstrated, was particularly powerful. It completely changed the way I think about what might otherwise seem like an insignificant 1 mph difference.

I came away from the course having genuinely learned something that will influence my driving in the future. That is testament to the quality of Tom’s instruction and delivery.

An excellent course delivered by an outstanding instructor. Tom is a credit to the programme.

Fantastic course. I got pinched for speeding so I did the speed awareness course. It really brought it home how stupid speeding is!!!! Even though I’ve been driving for many years, I learned a LOT! Every driver should take this course… it has slowed me down, I’m more in control of my driving, and I enjoy driving much more now! Every new driver should be made to take this course, and every qualified driver should take it every five years! It’s not a lecture! You don’t get told off! The course leader helps you to see how you can be a better driver… and avoid accidents! Don’t be afraid of this course! Use it to see how you can be a better motorist! I have and now having taken the course, realise that I WAS doing a lot of things wrong! If this course just saves one crash, it’s worth every penny!

As much as I wasn’t looking forward to attending a speed awareness course it seemed the better option than ending up with points on my license, the Drivetech course was a friendly and informative experience, the trainer was professional and everyone attending took part with the discussions and the 3 hours went by quite quickly.

The trainer was very good - competent and friendly and ensured everyone contributed. I was very surprised by how much I learnt!!!

I completed a driver awareness course with DriveTech yesterday and it was really excellent. The guys were friendly and informative and it was very enlightening! I have done a course like this before and it paled in comparison. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is unfortunate enough to have to have a course like this - it will really help your driving!

If offered I recommend you take the course. It is informative, fun and you'll learn more than you expect.

I found the course informative and interesting highlighting gaps in my knowledge so it would have been a good use of my time even without the Police inducement.

A good course and certainly a far, far better experience that expected. Well worth doing.

Attended speed awareness course. Was the cheapest out of the options. Had good pre course information and reminders before the course date. Was easy to join the course. The trainer was very good and knew her stuff. Was factual informative and to the point. Was mainly aimed at learning and helping you to improve driving but obviously did have a focus on speeding and the negative impacts. Was 3 hours long with a 10 minute break.

Speed awareness course run by DriveTech (Stewart and Heather) was run in a proffessional and courteous manner. I certainly learnt loads of useful information and strategies to improve my driving.

I felt it was important to write and share some positive feedback following the completion of my National Speed Awareness Course on 25/08/2026.(830am-11.30am)

The instructor, Alan, who mentioned he was a paramedic from Wales, was absolutely fantastic. I cannot speak highly enough of him.

Like many people, I approached the course with a certain amount of reluctance and was expecting it to be a box-ticking exercise. Instead, Alan delivered a session that was engaging, informative, thought-provoking, and genuinely enjoyable. His communication skills, professionalism, and ability to keep participants interested throughout were outstanding.

Please pass on my sincere thanks to Alan if possible. He transformed a course I was dreading into an experience that I found genuinely valuable. DriveTech should be very proud to have instructors of his calibre representing the organisation.

Very informative and really makes you think

The course (NSAC) was very enjoyable and conducted in a very relaxed manner

Becky was great, funny , knowledgeable, and gave a really good presentation

I had a great experience with the DriveTech course, especially thanks to my instructor, Doreen. She was very professional, attentive and made everyone feel comfortable participating throughout the session. She kept us engaged and focused, which made the course really enjoyable and valuable.
After almost 10 years of driving, I realised I had fallen into “automatic mode”. This course was a great refresh and completely changed the way I look at my driving. I became much more aware of my habits and realised there is always room to improve. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to refresh and improve their driving skills!

Very local, convenient location with good quiet place. A very informative lecturer and learned more awareness of road safety.
