easy to order, quick despatch and arrival via courier, just what we needed to replace an older model and continue using already on hand dymo tapes.

Ordered printer online in March 22 …

Ordered printer online in March 22 Printer not in stock until October but they dont let you know . Had to phone up and query twice to be able to find out that they cant supply me even after website shows its available.If I didnt follow up after a week I would wait 6 months while they dont even bother to let me know.
Still waiting for my money back

Not sure what the product is like yet…

Not sure what the product is like yet because it is taking forever for it to arrive. I keep getting constant repetitive emails asking me to review the product… well here it is. No product yet though. Hopefully this will stop the emails!

I bought 5xl label printer but will tell everyone dont buy it beacuse it is only work with genius dymo label and it is very expensive

Thanks for the review Gokhan, this has been submitted as a service review and would have been beneficial as a product review.
Dymo have always recommended the use of original Dymo labels in any of their machines, this one is no different. We ensure to put this information in the product description also. The genius (microchip) labels have been on the market for approximately 2 years now so unless you were still in possession of old stock the labels would be able to be utilised in any upgraded model.

Care Required To Choose Carefully - Still A Good Product

Using this product has shown no improvement in the last 48 years since I last owned this style of printer. Admitted that I'm older & less agile in the wrist for printing, I thought the purchase would have been easier to handle. I don't have massive print runs but if I did I would feel inadequate. Still well priced for it's operations. The LetraTag machine I own & used for 7 - 10 years is a more versatile option for most labelling (for me).

I feel I was ripped off by Dymo

I feel I was ripped off by Dymo. On their site they call the Labelwriter 550 "a replacement for the Labelwriter 450". They fail to point out that the 550 can NOT use the same labels as the 450 - rather it has to use new "microchipped" labels.
I purchased the 550 from the Dymo website as my 450 had died, and I sill had a lot of Dymo brand labels for it. As they said the 550 is a direct replacement, I stupidly assumed, because there was no warning about needing new labels, that I'd be able to use up the stock I already had. Instead, I've wasted about $300 of labels.
Dymo, that is blatant ripping off of your customers.

The genius (microchipped) labels have been on the market for approximately 2 years now so unless your exisiting labels were potentially older stock you would have been able to use across both machines.

Checking your order history I can see order was placed on the 13th February and despatched from our warehouse on the 16th February. It does appear that delivery via Australia Post did take an extended period to get the parcel to you and for that I am truly sorry.

Your carrier

Your carrier. Amerex, repeatedly told us they had attempted to deliver our parcel to our premises at 5A, 339 WILLIAMSTOWN ROAD, PORT MELBOURNE 3207. They never did. Instead, they stuck a card under the door of number 5, on the opposite side of the block of factories we are situated in and constantly claimed they had attempted a delivery. We will never again deal with any company that uses Amerex as a carrier due to their lying about their "attempted deliveries". We have still not received the goods.
