Tomas Montvilas/Elafin doors took €1,600 deposit from me last March and disappeared. I reported him to CCPC in Oct when I couldnt get a refund.The gardai are now investigating him after the volume of cases taken to CCPC and also reports made to garda stations around the city. So if you havent done so yet report him to your local garda station....under section 6 of Criminal Justice ( Theft and Fraud offences) Act 2001.

Same problem as everyone else, small claims court application in but heard nothing from that. No communication from Elafin even with solicitors letters sent.

Shocking. I have also logged a small claims court case as deposit paid and no door.

Same as other reviews paid Eur2000 deposit. Door due Sept and still waiting

Do not buy anything from this company.

He took our money and disappeared.
Impossible to contact, once you have paid.

We have notified the guards and initiated a case with the small claims court.

Absolute conman - steer clear.

Do not make the same mistakes we did.

Website looks fake as does most of the products.

I ordered a door last January. 2400 euro deposit. I was prepared to wait and have had the exact same experience as the other reviewers here. Waited patiently and trusted the owner and his wife that my door would come. Radio silence for the past month. Very disappointed

Same story as all of the below. Ordered my door in March 2025 and transferred a 50% deposit of €1630. Like everyone else mentioned, delivery date was moved numerous times, but only after I chased Tomas and Simone. Never ever have they contacted me of their own initiative. I have been more than patient with them asking for honesty and transparency and, stupidly, gave them the benefit of the doubt all this time. I gave them an ultimatum in October, that if the door was not installed by the latest deadline given to me that I would be seeking a refund of my deposit, and as others mentioned, I was at that point offered a refund in monthly instalments. Since then I have heard nothing, despite continuing to chase them, and found out today that the Elafin website is offline. I have put a claim in with the Small Claims Court but I don't hold much hope that I will ever see my money again. The only conclusion I can draw here is that I've been robbed of €1630 by Tomas Montvilas and that he is a criminal.

0 Stars.. Ordered door in March and 7 months later the door has not been installed. I have been fobbed off multiple times by Tomas and his wife told the door will be available and fitted in 3 weeks and then hear nothing - its all delay tactics. They dont take phonecalls after the desposit has been paid. Its like one big giant scam.. I paid over a €2,000 deposit. I have asked for the deposit back but no response as to when I will be paid back, feel this is a con job... Reviews on Google with similar stories have now disapeared which told the true story.
Steer clear this company is not what it seems..
Small claims court has been notified along with guards.

I paid a 50% deposit in February 2025 for a custom door from Elafin Doors. Since then, there have been numerous altered deadlines and broken promises, and as of the end of October 2025, the door has still not been supplied.I have been extremely patient and have given Tomas multiple opportunities to engage honestly and resolve the issue. Each new deadline was missed, and in recent weeks, all attempts to contact either Tomas or his wife Simone have gone unanswered.
At this stage, they have effectively taken thousands of euro without delivering any product or service. What I asked for throughout was simple — honesty and open communication — yet that has failed completely at every point.
I now feel I have no choice but to warn others not to entrust Elafin Doors or Tomas and Simone Montvillas with their money. My experience has been deeply disappointing and has left me out of pocket and without the door I paid for.

If there was an option to give no stars i would. This guy is a con artist. He has taken €2500 for a deposit off my mother and the same sob story as all the other people giving reviews. You can only get this conman by phone when your looking to purchase a door. As soon as you look to see when the door is arriving/fitting he is not around. You can only get him on email. He takes almost a week to respond if at all. Now he wants to pay €200 a month. My mam has been to the guards and not much happening there stage has a case number thats probably at the end of a pile. She sends all correspondence to them but she's just another woman who got scammed. He is waiting to scam others to try pay off the customers who won't leave him alone it seems. Its shocking that he is still getting away with this.

I paid Tomas a deposit of 1,700 in June for my door to be fitted in October . I tried calling , emailing and texting with no reply . Eventually I got an email stating due to staff shortages ect he will be referring my order to another buisness or he will pay my deposit back in a part pay plan . He declined to give me the new buisness number so I give him 7 days to refund me my full deposit . He is now saying he is waiting on several other customers to confirm which noting to do with me .. I have a front door that is falling apart and now have no money to go elsewhere unless I get my deposit back .. I now have the stress of taking legal action. Ciara…..

I ordered a composite hall door from Tomas at Elafin doors at the end of january 2025 .I paid a deposit of 2225.00 eur which was 50 per cent of the total price.Tomas informed me the lead time would be four months which meant it would be fitted end of may.May came and went no contact so I phoned no answer no reply to txt messages . Eventually Tomas got in touch with a fitting date for wed 9th july this date also came and went.Then july 14th ,no show.When he did answer txts which wasnt often he would always have excuses why there was a delay just buying time all the time. we were making arrangements to be off work for fittings that never happened.We formally requested our deposit back end of july to be told no he didnt have to return it seeing it was a bespoke item. The Competition and Consumer protection Commission said my rights were not affected with the item being bespoke and to issue court proceedings with the small claims court which we did.Tomas told me he was broke and couldnt pay and said he would give me a discount of 1000.00 off my balance .He cancelled many more times and he eventually said we didnt have to pay any of the remaining balance .This sounded great only at this stage I thought I would never see a door or my deposit back.Tomas does not keep in touch he doesnt answer phone calls or txts you have to constantly chase him its exausting and stressful.He eventually showed up to fit the door on August 8th and while the door is nice it wasnt worth the stress .I paid Tomas the full amount owed on the balance even though he said i owed nothing.I fell for his sob stories . The next day we noticed a chip on the door and a couple of areas not painted right .I txted him pictures and he promised to return to fix it. Needless to say he hasnt showed up and doesnt answer txts or phone calls its now sept.So I would not recommend Elafin doors there are many other good reliable companies out there so do yourself a favour and steer clear .
