This is absolutely unprofessional the website is give a problem to sign in . When you call an agent they don’t know what they are doing I was next to my gran helping my gran with her policy on her car and as a person who has worked in an insurance call centre she should definitely know what she is doing … honestly this is pathetic not even knowing if you insured correctly… DISGUSTING SERVICE AND WORK ETHICS!!! So unprofessional

been with Elephant for 2 years, my insurance is due to be renewed when I learned they wanted and extra £250!!!, there are no changes to my policy and they had no explanation other than inflation,,,,I was expecting a reduction after another year of no claims, I checked other insurance companies and found one almost £300 cheaper, Elephant offered me a £49 reduction, what a joke...avoid

Took car insurance through insurance comparison site. Was transferred to Elephant Car Insurance, many options were missing from original quote.
Money Supermarket confirmed that is error from insurer, emailed Elephant and after 7 days received link to update my cover? They didn't even read my message.
My advice is to avoid this company, next step is Financial Ombudsman, this type of practice must be dealt with.
Misleading clients and not communicating is not responsible at least

I bought a new car and it was hit whilst parked at the side of the rode by a drunk driver , luckily we got all the details and the police were there as witnesses. I had only had the car 6 weeks . Elephant took 3 days to provide a courtesy car which I had to chase. My car was written off and again I had to chase the company to collect - over 10 days to collect and I was then told they would be paying me £1550 less than what I had paid . I bought the car 6 weeks ago so lost £1550 in 6 weeks for something that wasn’t my fault . I would never insure with them again

First time using Elephant joined in June 2023. A couple of months ago my car got damaged and I needed to claim through the insurance. The process was pretty straightforward, log the claim online and then spoke to them on the phone the following day. the representative was friendly, polite and empathetic which is all good traits of good customer service. They accepted my claim and sent a truck out to collect my car and take it to the repair shop. This was all done within 2 days and then just had to wait a few days whilst my car was being repaired. Great service from start to finish.

terrible customer service if your english is not good they joke with you for 2 hours on the phone and finally (cancel the insurance because they thought someone else did the insurance for you)

I have been with this company since 2016.
The first time I have renewed my contract it was slightly cheaper, then over the years it became more and more expensive and i had to start the cancellation process every year to get an acceptable price.

This year however, they have tried to rip me off.
Last year premium £1600, renewal premium £3400 More than 100% increase with 12 years NCB. After starting the cancellation process, their website offered nearly £1000 rebate but multiple competitors offered an even better coverage for £1200.

Summary: They try to make you pay absurd prices, hoping you will not look at the quote, you say no, their website gives you immediately a big rebate, but even at this point you will save a fortune by switching insurance providers

Well where do I start... probably by saying DO NOT USE THEM!

My car got vandalised and taken to steer auto group to be fixed. I was told we don't have a courtesy car for you cause we arr too busy, even though I was meant to have one. I waited over a month without a courtesy car then elephant said they would get me a car from enterprise.. and they only offered me a Toyota aygo. Cause clearly its te cheapest. Joke of a company.. joke of a service so if you want a good insurance company probably bet going elsewhere.

Insurance coming up for renewal. Elephant quote c50% more than best competitors. Unwilling to match so indicated would move to another insurer.
Subsequently pursued very aggressively by Elephant for a ridiculous cancellation fee. Claimed -incorrectly - thst justified reflected need to provide temporary cover
WHOLE APPROACH UNACCEPTABLE

Having so much issues starting claim...to courtesy vehicle...they always right...so don't waist your money,time and nerves...

30 years no fault or crime or accident, you lost a good customer. £32 is reasonable but £144 is a scam. I have never, anywhere in the world, seen my insurance rate quadruple for a slice of pizza because it was stolen from me. I made a big mistake and I told you and the police because you are the biggest fraudsters in history. I challenge this. And I will fight against this inequality and oppression.

Worst experience with this supposed car insurer. A month after a crash and the car is still in storage pending them deciding what to do with it meanwhile no courtesy car and no power at all to speed up the process so losing yet more money on hire car. Totally unreasonable and feel like reporting to the consumer ombudsman. Will never 'insure' with them again.

I have had a nightmare with a cheaper car insurance company from Go Compare, so I decided to go more main steam as I have used Elephant before.

I spent some time on the call with customer service to fully ensure my policy was all set up.

The teams patience was great and they fully answered all my questions.

Always very quick to respond on the phone, very polite customer service and very helpful, I had a fake claim made against me and had £90 refunded from Elephant due to increased premium cost, very quick and easy to get through to call support team. Also gave me over £50 discount on my renewal price. Unfortunately had to cancel policy due to admin charges taking out another policy, Danielle in customer retentions was very helpful and kind. Best customer service I have had on the phone, compared to other companies waiting 30 mins + ! I will most likely return to Elephant next year.

I cancelled a policy with elephant, all payments were up to date, no late payments, all fine. About a week later, they sent a letter asking for a previously unknown cancellation fee and a default notice!! Within a week??! This notice has affected my credit score and customer service are refusing to help!! DO NOT use them, they apply sneaky fees and apply defaults incorrectly!

This company has been very competative with all my renewals, and now I think I have been with them for about 4 years. They have always made it easy for me to insure our wheelchair adapted van with several different carers that are not family members to enable my daughter to get out and about, and at the best price quoted from any insurer. I have just addaed a new driver/carer to our policy with the greatest of ease, and the cost of the policy is still £200 cheaper than the nearest competitor. I am very nit picky when it comes to leaving extremely good reviews, but Elephant, after 4 years, have definately deserved my rating. It also looks like I'll be with them for a long time after as well.

They helped me when it mattered. I’ve been with them for at least 3/4 years. I had an awful accident on the highway - I spoke to a guy called Brian on the phone from the side of the road - not knowing what to do- he was brilliant and kind. They sent a flatbed to tow me- he too was kind and dropped me home and helped me unload my musical equipment - which he didn’t have to do. Wait times on the phone were not hours long. People were always very kind and courteous. They sorted the claims of the other cars and my own- and Rupa today from their customer service team was SUPER helpful with helping me understand my options in terms of reinstating my policy with a new car- and explaining the wording of ‘cancelled’ in my policy due to total loss- that I can still answer no in the insurance declined/cancelled question. Everyone has been kind and helpful and like my car’s crumple zones saved my life- this insurance company has paid out the damages of the accident and prevented me from being in an insane amount of debt. I am genuinely incredibly grateful.

I was a loyal customer of Elephant insurance for 5 years. However, I have recently had a terrible experience in relation to my insurance renewal and was charged considerably more than the previous year for no apparent reason.

Would not recommend this company, terrible customer service.

We had 4 cars on a Multi Car policy, this year they have tried to hike the renewal from £2300 to £4800. I have had to call so many times and spent 13 hours so far trying to sort out each part of the policy moving elsewher... an absolute disgrace
