I want to give this a zero star. I am on hold for ten minutes (I have been on hold longer so not a big issues). But as soon as I get a representative. She says to me, “Sorry I can’t hear you. You’ll have to call back.” And then hangs up on me. So rude and a horrible representative. Don’t know her name she didn’t give it to me.

The worst company in the world no compassion for people struggling to pay their bills they rather cut you off instead of working with you to help you pay your bill, to the person I talked to today how can you live with your self.

Representative was nasty, unhelpful

I am filing a complaint regarding a very frustrating customer service experience. This is my late father’s account, which I have taken over. I attempted to pay the bill online, but the system would not allow me to do so, even though online access had worked before.

I called customer service for help. The representative was unhelpful and refused to provide even the amount due on the account. I was actively trying to make a payment, and instead of assisting me, she refused to help in any meaningful way.

I find this unacceptable. I was not asking for anything improper. I was simply trying to pay a bill and resolve an access problem on an account I am now responsible for handling. Refusing to provide the balance or offer any real assistance made it impossible for me to take care of the account.

I am requesting that this interaction be reviewed, that I be provided the current balance due, and that I receive clear instructions on what is needed for me to manage and pay this account going forward. I also request help restoring online access or another way to make payment immediately.

Please preserve the recording and notes from this call for review.

Gas was off house cold didn't live there for 6 months and stilled owed $340, rep was rude basically said I was lying supervisor agreed with her would not reduce the bill, heartless people in the world, I'm 85 and my husband is 90 and they expect us to come up with $340 extra dollars instead of waving it off, horrible company, no compassion for the elderly in Akron

Literally unable to pay my bill. App is unable to process payments. Online payments create errors every single time. Apparently my account number literally copied and pasted from my account doesn't match records when attempting to set up a payment from a credit card. You'd think any company that wants people's money would actually figure out how to take the money people are trying to pay it. So frustrating.

No Respect for Customers

Worst service ever. Am I responsible for paying my neighbor's gas bill if they happened to put my name on their bill? Well, the same situation happened with this sad excuse for a company. I SOLD my house. Had no ties to it in my name whatsoever, but they billed me 8 DAYS extra (the full month). A simple reassessment could have fixed this issue. After all, we live in the 21st century and the internet, computers, and even AI exist. What's their excuse? "There's nothing we can do about it"

I initially called once our closing date for selling was set. They told me that all I had to do was wait for the new owner to put the account in his name and things will be taken care of. My only other option would be to shut the gas off in the house... during a winter storm... in Ohio... for a 100-year-old house. The last thing I needed was damages on a house I'm selling the day before it closes. Plus, the meter is in the house basement, so I had no access to allow a technician to shut it off (because in selling the house).

A week later, this pathetic gas company monopoly quietly sends a bill exceeding the closing date. I immediately call and the new owner of the home "forgot" to change the account into his name. So now another person's negligence is MY responsibility? I assumed they would change our billing after this new owner changed the account name. Then I was charged ANOTHER day of gas.

I hope the people who assisted me on the phone and gave be unreliable information had a terrible Christmas and an awful New Year. Somehow this company was allowed the entire market on gas in Ohio. So the lack of customer care make sense. Otherwise I would tell everyone I know to switch to another provider. But alas, we are all slaves to this dysfunctional evil business.

My account is forever closed in my name with you now (at least that is what I was told after I asked for it. I wouldn't be surprised if they "forgot" to take my name off and bill me for all of January).

1 star is too high on a rating for you all. Vaffancculo.

If you don’t want a grill

If you don’t want a grill, order a grill from Enbridge. It’s the end of December and I ordered the grill in October. At least three times they have scheduled the installation and cancelled everytime because the grill was not it stock. Everytime they apologized but when asked when the grill would be in, crickets were louder,

I would have lived a long life if I see the grill installed.

I have updated my banking information…

I have updated my banking information with this company multiple times, yet they continually failed to make the changes. They kept attempting to use my old account, which resulted in NSF charges. I eventually closed my account just to make it stop. Even after months of trying to correct the issue, I still find myself having to update my bank information over and over again. Very frustrating experience.

Enbridge disrespects disability rights and homeowner rights

I've been on hold for TWO HOURS!!!! No good reason for it. Hire more staff. Enbridge charges $50 a month *just to receive* gas from them, not even counting consumption. For a $50 base charge a month a 2 hour plus telephone wait is unacceptable.
Our street has been disturbed by noise and torn up for months now. Enbridge does gas line installation and updating in a round robin fashion so the project is taking 6 months when it could take 2 weeks. Then they pass the buck to Don Wartko construction - but WHO hired them and is in charge of the project - Enbridge !
It's making it very hard for disabled and older people on our street and in our neighborhood to walk around safely. In some places the wheelchair user only has the option to go into the street with major traffic on the busy streets around us. Enbridge definitely doesn't care about the safety of the community and definitely not of the disabled community. I think the way they are doing their work interferes with my legal right to enjoy my property and be reasonably free of nuisance. Enbridge is leaving giant deep holes in our sidewalk and street for months on end - so unsafe !!! They leave their multiple trucks and cars running all day on our street-generating a lot of noise and air pollution - and probably wasting gasoline that will then end up influence my gas bill going even higher. The whole project is just being done in the most ridiculous and obtrusive manner. They expected to be able to come into my home as late as midnight to reconnect my meter. So rude !! From the time the new line was installed and finished, to the time they came to reconnect my gas meter - was 8 hours later !! I had to let strangers into my house at 10pm or go without gas. Very unsafe !! Enbridge should do better. This has been an unreasonable burden and intrusion.
Expecting a customer to stay on hold for hours on end is an undue burden. These companies nowadays are something else.
Enbridge Gas Company stock symbol is ENB. Stock price has increased from $40 a share to $50 a share this past year. That value is coming from somewhere - it's being taken from the customer. I'm going to short ENB tho as this is clearly not going to be sustainable.

They turn up at my house at 5pm on a…

They turn up at my house at 5pm on a Friday to change the meter with no appointment. then he proceeds to check all gas appliances. Turns up the house heat w?o telling me. I wake up at 3 am in a sweat. Turns off the heat in my water tank. I still can't figure out how to turn that back on so I had to call a technician to fix that. I received a citation that the pipe leading to the meter needs a sleeve. The house was built in 1965 when did this become an issue? Don't let them into your house without an appointment

New meters NO good, NO go!!!

My review is about their newly installed meters. They are so low to the ground, I have to get down on my knees in gravel to be able to read it and, even then, I can't read it. I was thinking when winter comes, and there's tones of snow on the ground, it will be almost I poți read it.

I was thinking about poor seniors who can't bend much, how it is and will be for them. I don't understand why do a thing worst than it is. You're supposed to improve a product not make it worse. The screen is almost impossible to read and confusing with so many numbers. I forget which numbers I need to read from month to month. Again, I think it was done on purpose so people don't read their meters and they get to up-estimate your consumption to charge more. I truly believe that.

I’m only giving it a one star review…

I’m only giving it a one star review because I had to in order to write a review. After moving to a new place, I was unable to turn the gas on until I sent an all types of documents which were to be reviewed within 72 hours. That review never happened until I placed a call 7 days later to even get a turn on date. When the turn on date came, the guy sat in his truck for approximately an hour. (Even after I went out to talk to him.) I do NOT recommend this company AT ALL and to be completely honest I might move so I don’t have to deal with them. Absolutely ridiculous! If I ran a business like this I’d be out of business!

Enbridge are Thieves

A $47.55 service charge fee is straight up theft. Next rental I move into I’ll go out of my way to be sure they don’t use Enbridge. This is insane
