Bought a lmc 695 vip exquisit from John at Evans caravan and camping Pwllheli back in August 2025. John gave us a very fair price for our swift in part exchange. He promised it would be ready for collection in 2 weeks and it was. The technician explained everything to us. The service they provide is 2nd to none. He even threw in a few extras. I would highly recommend this company.

We were on a tight budget but Eugene came through with the perfect first time motorhome for us. I must say it’s been a great van and suits our needs. I can highly recommend this company and we will be back when its time for a change.

Be very careful when dealing with Evans Caravans!
I sold back to John (Jnr) a caravan that he had sold me just 2 years previously. Unfortunately, it was originally supplied without most of the required paperwork (CRiS certificate, service history, etc.) and it came with so many defects/faults, that it simply wasn't possible for me to recover anything like the money I paid. I lost £'000's!
I would therefore urge anyone considering buying from Evans Caravans to ensure they get all the necessary paperwork, and equally important, have the caravan/motor home properly checked-out before parting with their money, something regrettably, that I didn't do.
Although they offer a 3 month warranty, their after-sales and customer service appears so poor that you should consider all of their caravan/motor homes to be 'bought as seen'.
In addition to my own experience, a friend bought a LMC caravan from John Evans that had, among other things, a gaping hole in a window. It was over 12 months later, and following multiple reminders, that it was eventually replaced.
(The fact that I have rated my experience as 2 stars rather than 1, is due to Eugene. He is the shining star of the family and a pleasure to deal with.)

I was in the market for a motorhome, but hadn't found anything locally that took my fancy. I happened to be passing through Penrhyn when I came across Evans caravans, and there were a few motorhomes outside and within my budget. Because I was with friends I didn't stop that day, but returned alone a few days later. Although they had som nice motorhomes there, none of them ticked all my boxes. I had a chat with Eugene, and told him what I was looking for in terms of spec, and my budget. He said he'd keep an eye out and took my details and promised to call me if something cropped up.
Sure enough, 2 weeks later I got a message from Eugene about a van they had just got in, which he thought would fit my needs. He sent me loads of photos, and I got on my motorcycle next day and took the 90 mile trip to go see for myself. The van was perfect, it ticked nearly all the boxes, low milage, very clean and tidy, with the perfect layout for me, and it was inside my budget. He even threw in a few accessories too!
I paid a deposit and he arranged a service, a bit of minor paint damage to be repaired and a hab check.
I collected the van a couple of weeks later.
U did have one very small issue after taking delivery, so I took it back under warranty and they ran me into cricieth to get some lunch while they sorted the problem, then came and picked me up and took me back to my van. In addition to rectifying the small wiring issue, they fitted a brand new leisure battery at no charge.
I can't recommend eugine and Evans caravans enough. You only find out how good a company is when you encounter a problem and how they react to that problem. There was no quibble, no hassle, just took it back and they sorted it out. 5 star service!

We bought a 2018 Hobby caravan from John Evans (Snr) in May 2021 and they were very good and helpful and gave us a good trade-in price for our Hymer. Recently due to ill health we had to sell it and they bought it back from us with no fuss, collected it the next day, trouble and stress free, would deal with them again,

Purchased a caravan and was told it had a full HAB service, but they said it doesn't come with any service paperwork just a sticker on the caravan. We need the paperwork for our fostering agency so paid to have a service back home. This came back with immediate repairs needed on the chassis and brakes and numerous other things. All of these things should have been picked up in a service and the caravan should not have been towed as the brakes were not working and much of the braking system is to corroded. We towed for 3.5 hours with three children in the car!! Total for all repairs is £3000 the minimum I can spend is £1500 getting the urgent repairs fixed. Rang John Evans who told me the van is perfect and kept on saying I was aggressive and abusive when trying to have a grown up conversation, he said he was recording the call which I would ask him to upload for all to hear. There is no way I would take the van back for repairs as they clearly don't know what they are doing. I wish I had never bought a caravan from these people as they are liars.

I didn't give anybody any abuse, I tried to have an adult conversation what you are clearly not capable of, please play the "recording" The caravan is not safe to tow so cannot be returned and should never have been sold. Death trap

We recently bought a new LMC caravan from John, the whole process was made easy from start to finish, we got a good price on our Px, delivery was sorted out very quickly, we would highly recommend Evans caravans 💯

Evans is by far best the caravan dealership we have ever come across. This is the second caravan we have bought from them and we would never buy from anyone else. John and his staff are brilliant and nothing is ever too much. The after care we also receive with the caravans is second to none , the customer service doesn't just end when you buy the caravan with them. This is why we will always go back and only buy from John and his team. John kept an eye out for the caravan with the spec we required and let us know as soon as he had one and then we done the 8 hour round trip to get up there and ended up buying the caravan. John and his team ensured we had the caravan delivered before they closed for the Christmas rather than waiting till January and that was amazing. Evans won't try and pull the wool over you're eyes John is upfront and honest with the sale of the caravans, not pushy for you to buy the caravan and just has great customer service. If you are looking for a caravan I highly recommend Evans even if they are a bit of a distance from you. We honestly wouldn't go anywhere else for caravans. Thank you so much John and you're team!!

My wife and I had been looking for a while to purchase a motorhome. We had been caravanning for several years and had a seasonal pitch in Pentrefelin. We paid Eugene Evans a visit at start of season to have a look at layouts in motorhomes. He was very helpful. When passing we kept an eye open on what he had on offer on his forecourt. At the beginning of September we called in to have a look at a motorhome, unfortunately it was out of our price range. Eugene contacted me 24 hours later with one that had just arrived. We went and looked at her. It was everything on our list we required. He offered to take our caravan in part exchange and gave us a great price. Obviously we could not refuse. 2 weeks later it was ready for collection from his dad's sales room. His dad John was a fantastic guy we did the exchange and he was most helpful and friendly. I would also like to say that the sales assistant at John's was helpful in every way. We have already decided if we upgrade in the future we will definitely be returning to Eugene and John Evans. Great service all round 🤙

We can highly recommend Evans caravaning and camping Ltd near Pwllheli in North Wales. They have services our Compass Camino 660 caravan for over 4 years providing an excellent service and customer experience. The Team at Evans are very helpful and friendly. The annual storage & repair service they undertook was excellent. If you are thinking of buying or selling a caravan or storing (either inside or outside) with Evans you will not be disappointed. They site our caravan each year on our chosen caravan site pitch, and retrieve at the end of each season, so all we had to do was drive up and open the door.

We were delighted with the customer service from John and his team.

John went above and beyond to find us the perfect caravan at an excellent price. During our search he showed us several caravans to find out which size/layout was right for us, the supplies shop he has is very well stocked with a large selection of products that make caravaning easier. His customer service and knowledge is excellent. He also helped us find a site for a seasonal pitch which is in an excellent location. Would recommend Evans Caravans and Camping to everybody. Rude and patronising owner! Selfish and greedy! Needs a lesson in compassion and customer service, would definitely not recommend this company and luckily will not have to deal with them again!
