Formula One Autocentres - Wellingborough Avis 

The guys were all approachable and friendly. As a female sometimes it ca be quite daunting to walk into a predominantly male environment like this, but this was definitely not the case. The guys were knowledgeable and informative without be condescending. In plain English this a top notch business with fab prices and fantastic staff. Will definitely use them again.

Booked via blackcircles to have two tryes replaced. Staff were friendly, both tyres replaced and other tyres air pressures sorted in turn also. Would come back

Very disappointing experience.
During the first MOT test, I was told that some parts on my car needed to be replaced because they were considered unfit for use. However, when those parts were replaced, the mechanic told me that they were actually still in good condition and serviceable.

I accepted the situation and arranged a retest.

The worst part was the way the retest was handled. My appointment was cancelled without me being properly informed. I then booked another appointment for the following day, arrived at the agreed time, and waited around 45 minutes — and nobody had even come to deal with my car.

The attitude and customer service were extremely disappointing. I was treated as if I was doing them a favour by bringing my car there, rather than being a paying customer.

I understand that cars can fail an MOT and that repairs may be necessary. What I don't accept is poor communication, cancelled appointments without proper notice, and making a customer wait without any explanation.

I definitely would not recommend this MOT centre and I will not be using them again.ugh.

I brought in a car that had multiple issues, it ended up being a lot more complicated than we initially thought. The mechanic Calvin worked non stop on the car and kept me updated the whole time to let know what was going on. They also were checking with me every step before doing any work on the car to make sure I was ok with this. I can not recommend this garage enough, the only garage I will use going forward and highly recommend to anyone.

I needed a puncture repair. I hot a price online from formula one of ££22.00. I then took the tyre off my wifes car and took it to the garage . The reception guy who is probably late 20 something said he was too busy to do it now. I SAID CAN I LEAVE ITUNTIL TOMORROW LUNCHTIME AND I WOULD PICK IT UP. HE SAID YOU CAN BUT I CAN.T GUARENTEE IT WILL BE DONE. AS WE ARE DOING TYRE FTER TYRE AT THE MOMENT. I won't bother them ever again.

I had a very disappointing experience with this garage. They failed my vehicle on its MOT due to what turned out to be an incorrect assessment, which appeared to stem from a lack of knowledge about this particular make and model.

After seeking a second opinion from a specialist, it became clear that the items they failed the car on were either misunderstood or incorrectly interpreted. An MOT tester should be familiar with the inspection requirements for different vehicles, or take the time to verify them before issuing a fail.

The unnecessary fail caused me wasted time, additional expense, and a lot of frustration. I would recommend that anyone with a less common or specialist vehicle considers using a garage with experience of that type of car instead.

MOT repair went wrong.
Things don’t always go to plan. Mistakes / errors can occur, but the measure of a company can be assessed about how it deals with these and its customer service.

My initial thoughts were to give F1 Wellingborough a 1 star review, but that would be unfair. Somewhere in the system, whether that be in branch or their suppliers (who knows) something went amiss.
The staff were always courteous and polite, but the initial response wasn’t ideal, but this was worked through. However my vehicle was still left unroadworthy and had to be recovered whilst I sourced a more cost effective part.

The rest though, after sending feedback through to their customer services was very good. A thorough reply, and an appropriate level of rectification was given.

As a customer I just don’t want to be fobbed off with standard responses and I believe that F1 responded positively and appropriately, which in my opinion is good to see and witness and is a plus point. I just want to be treated fairly …..and I was.

So, I can’t give 5 stars, but I feel that overall 4 is worthy in my case.

Stay away from Wellingborough branch , they quoted online for car battery fitting based on the car registration number ,they knew what type of battery was going to be fitted ,but when i turned up they hiked the quoted price by 350 percent .
Rude people and total con ,perhaps trading standards should look into this Branch in Wellingborough

Used these guys before, excellent service. Very efficient, booking process so easy. Great value for money. Tyres quick to fit, very professional. Will definitely use again, best team in area.

I went to the garage in Wellingborough to change Oil and filters. When I went to collect my car I was advised by the mechanic/ technician that need to do 4 wheel alignment went to 2 different garages I was advised nothing wrong with the car and no need for wheel alignment, good that I checked with another garage they were going to charge me for nothing. As I am paying for my service would expect honesty and advice from the mechanic and making sure the car is safe not lying to their customers this really needs improvement. There are elderly and vulnerable people who are not going to ask for second opinion and will be charged for nothing and then of course they will believe that their vehicle needs additional service. I would not recommend F1 in Wellingborough and definitely wont be visiting again.

I had been informed by alternative tyre fitting company that I had a nail in my front near side tyre.
I wanted a second opinion and decided to purchase the true and make the appointment with Formula One Wellingborough.
Turned up for the appointment and the fitter couldn’t find a nail in any tyre.
I was offered a refund on the purchased tyre and I accepted with thanks.
I now know who I can trust with future work.

Stay away from Wellingborough branch, they are a con. I was quoted £500 for repair which I got completed at a reputable garage for £100, thieves lying con men. I would never go to Wellingborough branch ever again, they are rude, aggressive & intimidating. Not friendly at all. AVOID AVOID

My car was booked for an mot& full service, of course the branch in Wellingborough was going to find something at the mot! the "joke" was over £750 which is the ongoing average robbery this garage aims for from every client, when collecting my car the new "noise" produced from the front wheel area was clearly audible and noticeble when on road however the chap who "ruin" my car must've been very deaf and ignorant to claim he could hear nothing and car was as it was on arrival, totally untrue as he was clearly not prepared to repair his own doing, crafty lot, my car will never be in that garage again, l'd advice to avoid and save yourself an average of £700 for "anything" in there....daylight robbery! Trading Standards will b informed next.

Worst experience ever, poor workmanship, poor communication and enable to refund after they provided a really bad service with a safety critical issue.
I went with the car for a full service, after a couple of hours I got a phone call from the garage saying that on the front passenger side one of the tyre bolt was rounded and they couldn't take the tyre off to check the breaks. 1 day after I took the car back, a weird noise was coming from the front on the car ( I was driving to work 110mile back and forward) I went with the car to a different garage (I don't thrust F1 garage to even look at the car) and the mechanic there found out that 3 out of 5 tyre bolt were LOOSE. Very serious problem to leave a tyre loose and they don't even admit they made a serios mistake.

This review replaces a negative review I previously wrote. Whilst this company still need to work on the online booking system having access to the current diary to avoid disappointment, the manager and team did their upmost to rectify the situation. I believe people should be given a second chance and as a result am now a satisfied customer. Service was completed to a high standard and an issue with the car was resolved. Thank you to all the team.

I work across from formula 1 autos and I had a break light that was blown.
They took my car on the same day regardless of them being quite busy and had it fixed in no time.

Really excellent service. Needed a wing mirror replaced to pass MOT. The part direct from the manufacturer was very expensive but they were happy for me to find a second hand part and they fitted it. Bit of back and forth trying to find the right one on Ebay. F1 had great communication and were very polite and super helpful.
