I will start off by saying that FAO has…
I will start off by saying that FAO has been my go to source for many years of tool purchases. I have had no bad experiences with them until my last purchase.
I ordered (FAO121062) a Dewalt 20 volt pole mounted hedge trimmer that their website ad said included a 5.0 battery and charger. When I received the package, it came as a bare tool only. Not battery or charger.
I called FAO customer service immediately and was informed that my order was for a bare tool. When I pointed out their website ad specifically stated that a battery and charger were included, I was at first met with skepticism but later was told it was a typo error and would be corrected immediately. I have checked the website since my call and the correction has NOT been made.
I was also told there was no way to send a battery and charger and that my only recourse was to return the tool and get a refund. I was sent and Email with return labels and such. However, I really needed the tool for an important job and had to resort to getting a battery and charger to use it with.
My complaint is that FAO would not stand behind THEIR mistake and for a few dollars keep a longstanding customer happy. Also, since they did not take down this mistake from their website, I wonder how many others have been duped into this bait and switch tactic.
At this point, my confidence in FAO is shaken and I am not sure I'll deal with them again.

Everything was as expected, except the other instruction manual was included in the box. there are two 745 saws very similar. the biggest visible difference the Site-Pro Modular Guarding System. The included parts and setup is a little different. After a little searching I found the right manual. All is good.
