Excellent well made product….the birds love it!

The day it was ordered from Finches Friend 23/12/24 order was dispatched same day very propmt service.

I purchased a seed feeder in the summer and was very pleased initially. Recommended to 2 friends, who also purchased. However, it soon became apparent that even in the slightest breeze the hopper would close, making the seed inaccessible. I messaged the website and eventually got a response regarding the greasing of the mechanism after manufacture. Having taken it apart and thoroughly washed the grease away, that problem was resolved. However, there is still the issue I and the others have of the seed blowing out of the hopper in the wind and the fact that the starlings empty a full feeder in 15 minutes by throwing most of the seed to the ground. This provides a feast for the rock doves and now rats. I have had to order alternative, simpler and cheaper feeders.

Very prompt service.Good design and idea but managed to drop the lower cartridge first time I used it and it broke My husband repaired it,but wonder if you can use a plastic that doesn’t break.Don’t want this to go on your reviews as think design is good and liked that it is made in uk.

Product arrived promptly

I invested in two feeders whilst at a Oxted and Edenbridge show , the peanut feeder and the clean feeder 1 and zig. The birds in my garden had stopped using my existing squirrels buster feeders and weren’t visiting the garden. On putting these up the birds are back and emptying the feeders. No more mouldy wasted food. I’m using a mix of sunflowers hearts and mealworms and Suet in the peanut feeder. I can report that even after all this rain the food has remained dry and the squirrels have stayed off. I was hesitant to buy because of the cost , but l am now very pleased l did , a convert.

The feeder works very well. Took the birds a short time to trust it, but once tried it is very well used by finches, sparrows, blue tits and great tits.
I bought a spare feed station unit which is very useful. The squirrels like it too, but I find limited damage and that is only to the feed station unit so the main body is undamaged. The spare feed station is a great investment at £7.50.
The squirrel protector is just too expensive so have not invested in one.

This company has birds as its priority. The welfare aspect is of paramount importance to them. The products are extremely well made and very well researched. They are slightly more expensive but still represent great value for money. I have had lots of feeders over the years but now have 3 of theirs and won't be changing. Great all round experience.

Straightforward purchasing and delivery. Thoughtfully and well made product. Easy to fill up and clean. No more soggy peanuts.

The bird feeder arrived in time for Christmas. Haven’t hung it up yet

I’m very pleased to say that my local squirrels are becoming annoyed and frustrated, now I have the cage around my Sunflower heart seeds.
They don’t at the moment try to get at the peanuts either, not because I have a cage around them but the slopping rain guard over where the small birds feed. The squirrels slip off of the sloping plastic shield.
All I have purchased from Finches is excellent quality, strong and reliable, they were an excellent investment for our garden birds.

I am pleased with the feeder but I think the hanger illustrated should be included as when filled with seed it is very heavy and therefore if not properly supported it could fall and break.

Great products - keeps the food dry and very well designed and made. Very prompt service.

Good product and friendly delivery service

I bought the seed feeder which is very sturdy and an excellent size to feed a lot of hungry birds. It's a great design for keeping the seed dry and large enough that I don't need to do refills every day. This is just as well, as while I found the instructions useful, I'm going to need to keep them handy – it's not exactly intuitive to set up but no doubt once you're familiar with the steps it will get easier. A much more considered and well produced bird feeder than the usual style I've bought before.

Beautiful but practical and well designed bird feeder.

I discovered Finches Friend purely through chance and ordered a birdfeeder which looks sturdy and hopefully will stop the crows and feral pigeons from eating and spilling the seeds thus letting the smaller birds feed in peace. It's early days but definitely looks good, takes a fair amount of seed and should last. At the moment the birds are a little wary but I'm sure that will not last for long. Great website and products.

I purchased the Cleaner Feeder 2 + guard. Item arrived really quickly, there was a small issue with a faulty part but Andrew swiftly send me a replacement. Overall I would recommend this product as it is very high quality and made in the UK. I know they’re a bit pricy but I think I’ll save money in the long run. I like that the guard isn’t like all the others you find online. They’re usually painted green and will rust after being outside for a while. These seem to be galvanised so they will last forever. The compartments are so easy to change and I’m looking forward to see the birds being able to eat in peace. We have a lot of parakeets here in London which I have witnessed not only bite at smaller birds on my other feeders but also chew through plastic feeders which I have had to replace with ones that have metal ports, they still manage to damage these as well. I am planning to slowly replace all my other feeders with FF.
