Not a Bank -Fraud
Not a Bank. Complete and blatant fraud.
1. Website has such bugs specifically designed for the user to make mistakes in such a way that you will default on some dates.
Will not increase limit to transfer money into Flagstar (the staff and probably are debt collector goons ) who formed a bank to defraud people.
2. The bank will count these defaults (the unsuspecting customers did not know or even suspect) and one day stop your transfers. Your access
3. Then comes the issue
A. Cannot pay the bank your dues
A1. Customer panics as to what is going on. Customer wants to pay but cannot
A2. Customer calls bank, straight to collections. Customer panics again.
Mind you all this time the the customer is trying to pay.
A3. Customer service stays silent and intimidates you with low level threats and who are you and why are you calling me attitude
A4. Customer confused asks how to pay. Flag star gang member ( customer service ) says one word “P.O. Box). Customer googles and gets two P.O. Box.
A5. Flag star gang member suggests only banker check. I ask to take my money from my flag star checking (lots of money sitting there)
A6. Flag star gang member says only other bank cashier check. Also suggested it will be lost. At this point one does not know what to do. No call, letter explainingNOTHING
Now let me give FLAGSTAR and the board some free advice.
First rule of business ‘Make money legally’
Second rule Be mindful of employees and social impact/awareness your business causes
This is not written by me, any business graduate knows this.
FLAGSTAR and board is destined for a class action and we will enjoy you all going to jail
Overall Experience & Expectations
We've been flagstar account holders for awhile, Now we just hold on to the account J.I.C. I myself have experienced what I feel is pure nosiness. Having direct deposit may not notate the exact name of the company making the deposit, and one time I was asked Where do you work!?🤔🤨. I wasn't trying to get indignant since flagstar does have "ALL" personal information, I answered. Most recently we felt the teller/associate wasn't at all friendly. Seemed just to the point, Not a crack of a smile!. No small talk, we even said happy holidays and received No Response🤔. I know not everyone may celebrate the holidays for whatever their reasons are. But we didn't even receive a have a nice day. Even if for whatever reason, they became irritated with us, the emotions shouldn't have shown it!.. I have noticed a change in staffing, But when the account was first opened the first staff members that were there, were very friendly in greeting upon entering and departing. Should covid19 be the blame for this as well!??. If some of the staff thinks they give the best experience, they need to rethink things and should be observed by upper management. This is a True and Sincere experience.....
Horrible in every aspect
Horrible in every aspect. Can’t get anything done with this company! My previous mortgage sold to this company and it’s as if they just started the company a day ago. The payment system failed, rejected payment from my bank twice, the automated calling doesn’t recognize my SS, and also getting the runaround to different departments after I got a letter saying my home owners insurance expired when I just paid it for the entire year. Total incompetence. I’m also wasting plenty of time on hold. This company should get -5 stars.
I applied for a HELOC with Flagstar due…
I applied for a HELOC with Flagstar due to their advertisment of low / no fees. I lived in Michigan previously and knew the name. My credit report was pulled immediately. I was presented with a list of items to submit which I returned indicating higher "income" changes would show within 60 days. I was declined due to debt/income ratio without considering the increased income. Further, the loan/to/value ratio (their calculation) was less than 70%. I do no care about the line of credit. What I care about is the negative impact on my credit report for 2 years.
CONSUMERS be mindful that all credit inquiries remain on your credit report for 2 years. As few as 3 will lower your credit score. My personal opinion is that lenders should pre-qualify based upon a "soft-pull" of your credit.
Flagstar bank is possibly the worst…
Flagstar bank is possibly the worst bank Ever in the history of Banks. I can’t understand how the federal government allows them to continue in business. I worked with them for two full years, 24 payments, when they were threatening to foreclose on my home, even though the payments were coming out of my bank account. After two years and an attorney, I discovered Flagstar bank gave me two account numbers so the money I was paying in mortgage was going into someone else’s account. Flagstar stated they knew this but “” Just didn’t fix it. Don’t use this bank if you can avoid it.
Nobody knows anything here
Absolutely the worst experience ever in getting a mortgage!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FLAGSTAR…
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FLAGSTAR BANK!!! I set-up an automatic payment through FlagStar and Zelle. 9 months later, after receiving an email that my “auto-payment plan had been completed” I let the recipient know that he had received the last payment. The recipient proceeded to let me know he had not received a payment in 6 months. After looking back through my emails, I received an email every month from FlagStar Bank stating “your automatic payment to the recipient had been made”. I contacted FlagStar Bank this morning and was told that the recipients bank had declined the last 6 payments he had not received. The FlagStar employ could not tell me why they were declined, and to make it worse, could not send me ANY PROOF that his bank had declined these payments in order for me to prove to the recipient this was NOT an error on my end, but rather his bank. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the same employ came back to the phone about 10 minutes later to let me know there was nothing they could do for me to prove that it was the recipient’s bank that declined payment. This lack of proof first makes me think it was not the recipients’ banks screw-up, but rather FlagStars screw-up! As you would suspect, the recipient also feels it was likely a FlagStar Bank screw-up, otherwise they would have offered proof the issue was on the recipients end, and not due to me not making these payments. If nothing else, the fact that there were 6 “declined transactions” from his bank (according to FlagStar) and I received confirmation emails for delivery of ALL of these transactions that NEVER went through, and then a final email at the end stating, “your automatic transactions are all complete”, FlagStar FAILED to let me know these transactions were not going through. I assumed, since it was set up as automatic payments, they were going through to the recipients account, and the recipient assumed the same, so neither of us were aware they were not getting through. According to FlagStar, they cannot offer me ANY proof to let me give to him the recipient that I was attempting to make these payments. FlagStar Bank is a JOKE! I wish I were not in a 3 year commitment to them with a HELOC loan, but you can bet as soon as my 3 year commitment is up, the HELOC will be paid back and I will NEVER do business with FlagStar bank again. This is the second issue I have had since I started banking with them. There will not be a 3rd screw up, as I will NOT use this account for anything else due to FlagStar not giving enough of a damn about their customer than to just tell me “sorry, there is nothing we can do to make this look like you just quit paying your bills, not because we can’t, but because we wont! STAY AWAY FROM FLAGSTAR BANK! I wish I had read all of the poor reviews before I took this HELOC LOAN out!!!
I am a customer with them and have been…
I am a customer with them and have been for several years. I always make my payments on time. Recently, I accidentally double paid my mortgage. I asked that the second payment be refunded. I have been given the run around for refund the extra payment. The keep emailing me and asking for proof documents to include a print of their payment system, my back records, evidence I have a positive balance, ect... They just keep asking for more documents to delay the refund. When I call no one from the refund office will take my call. This place is a joke. Customer service is terrible. Their refund policy is terrible.
Flagstar is dishonest
Flagstar is dishonest. Do not use. Do not do a recast of mortgage with Flagstar, they drag their feet and soak you for as much interest as possible before doing recast. Secondly, they make excuses and will not drop your PMI. Everything to do with them is painful.
Flagstar Bank raised my mortgage twice…
Flagstar Bank raised my mortgage twice in one month and said it was for the raise in my homeowners insurance my homeowner insurance was only raised under $400 but yet they raised my mortgage $121 a month on $400 as soon as I can get rid of that mortgage I'm getting away from they won't help you they lie I talked to three different people none of them cared what I had to say don't trust flagstar Bank
Dishonest company
When we met the threshold for taking our PMI off, Flagstar refused. Extremely dishonest company. I would never recommend them. They just do not have ethics.
Everyone else has already said it so well...the worst!
Everyone else has already said it so well, in a nutshell: this is an absolute joke of a mortgage holding company. Want a tangible example? In the year 2023 A.D., they don't have a functional app. And the browser platform gives all kinds of (inaccurate) error messages, setting up auto-pay is a nightmare, they call you over and over without saying why. Truly difficult to imagine there could be any options worse than them. Like so many others, I had no choice in the matter. C'mon, Flagstar, get your SH&T together!
What an absolute joke of a company
What an absolute joke of a company. The fact that they are allowed to handle other peoples mortgages is just scary. Avoid this place at all cost… BEWARE!!!
Awful bank
Awful bank. They want you to be in debt. Had a HELOC with them which I’ve cancelled. You can only fund the account $2,000 per day and $5,000 per month. So, I changed my pay from acct to an external account. Changed auto pay from $27k (May payment) to $150 (June payment), just to pay the loan off. They took out $27k + $150 which caused overdraft fees at both banks. Their fault, no refund. Made excuses and blamed me. Scumbags.
Worst bank
Worst bank! I discovered that my deposits are not being added to my balance. Just found over $800 not added to my balance. As of last Fridays balance, plus added deposits, minus deductions, there is over $800 missing. I’m closing my account asap!!
BEWARE of FLAGSTAR Bank - They SUCK!!
Unfortunately my mortgage was sold to Flagstar Bank.
They SUCK!! They increased my mortgage $125 without my approval!
My insurance company sent multiple letters to them because they said I didn't have enought coverage. I DO!
DON'T use this bank company if you can help it. I had no choice!!!
THEY ARE AWFUL!!!!
I’ve had this mortgage company since…
I’ve had this mortgage company since 2009 and I must say if you can avoid getting a mortgage through them please do! As of January they are claiming that they’ve never received my payments. When I go to the government CPFB and give them the receipt as proof all of a sudden they find them and blame it on a mix up as to where I should be sending it in the meantime my credit score is impacted! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Inept
We bought a house and used them for our loan. After a few months they told us they were taking too much out for taxes and lowered our payment. 18 months later they inform us they made another mistake and did not take out enough for taxes and we owe $6,000 in back taxes. These people failed miserably at property escrow monitoring. Do not use these morons. They are completely inept at banking.
Dont use them, use a real bank!!!
My payment increasd by 60% because of their so called escrow review, they are unwilling to explain why. I spoke with someone who said I can pay the princial plus the increase in one payment and the escrow shortage in 9 payments, then the second person said I wasnt able to do so and if i tried they would forclose on my house. They use scare tacticts and threaten the customer. DO NOT USE THIS so called BANK. Call a real bank!
Flagstar recently bought my mortgage…
Flagstar recently bought my mortgage but failed to notify my homeowners insurance that they now owned my mortgage and to bill Flagstar for payment out of my escrow. They also told me it was my responsibility to notify the insurance company , however insurance company has informed me that Flagstar was responsible for notification.
