Fortunately you have plenty of other choices to buy very good wine. This company exploits its suppliers to the maximum to achieve absurd profit margins, shamelessly and without any scruples. They are very, very far from the concept of "fair trade". Choose another option; Portugal has dozens of wine suppliers, and all of them will give you a better experience than this one.

Poor Customer Service, no delivery

Ordered from them several times no issues, great selection of wines from Portugal. Current order still waiting delivery 48 days and nothing, they offer no help, just claim nobody is home to accept delivery, completely false. They know the delivery company is a problem and offer no alternatives, at minimum they should have re-shipped the order and used a different delivery company. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! Save yourself the hassle of dealing with these people, they don't understand customer service or how to provide a good customer experience.

Fast delivery...but!!!

Good thing first: the delivery of Garrafeira Nacional has always been impressively fast for me (I ordered five+ times from them). And the choice of wines is pretty good.

However, the trouble started when I received a bottle with a wine fault. I contacted customer service to ask what the policy was. I was told I needed to take a picture, which I did and sent. They then claimed to not have received the picture, so I had to send it again. They then said, I needed to return the bottle and that a pickup was arranged on Monday. However, nobody turned up (nor was anything arranged). Apparently, nothing was arranged, because I should send back *all* the bottles in the delivery (12 bottles), not just the faulty one. If I didn't send them all back... then any fault in the others was my problem (which I find both highly unethical and dubious legally!).
After replying that this was nonsense, they agreed to a pickup of the one bottle and scheduled that... and if I pass the test of their enologist (!?), then I may have my money returned for the wine (let's see if they actually will refund!)

I'm quite flabbergasted by their unhelpful service. It seems they are blocking every step of the way to avoid a refund for a faulty product. This shouldn't be such an issue - and other retailers have significantly better service in my experience. So, despite their fast delivery, I'll look elsewhere in future.

I have been using this company for over…

I have been using this company for over a year and I cannot complain with any aspect of the service. We have not had one bottle of wine we didn't like. Easy website to use. Great delivery service. Excellent value for money. Have passed detail to my friends and family and same experience for them

Dou 5 estrelas porque até de momento, não obtive nenhum problema, apenas pelo serviço online.
tenho encontrado tudo o que procurava serviço de apoio ao cliente 5 estrelas também, tive algumas perguntas e eles responderam-me bem.
irei com certeza continuar a comprar aqui.

O pior serviço de sempre!

O pior serviço de entregas e de atenção ao cliente que encontrei até hoje! Encomendei uma garrafa de gin na semana passada e nada! Quase uma semana a esperar, o dito track&tracing mostra a encomenda entregue desde sexta passada, ninguém atende o telefone ou responde a emails… uma vergonha! Começo a pensar que me roubaram 60 euros sem vergonha!

Não vou dar uma nota baixa porque as garrafas foram entregues e chegou direitinho. Mas o tempo de espera é MUITO mais longo que os 15 dias que referem no site. Eles funcionam por Grupagem (e isto eu desconhecia até trocar um bom par de emails e mensagens), ou seja o envio só é processado após um X nr de encomendas de X clientes. O meu pedido demorou quase 2 meses, desde que eu paguei até ser entregue. O prazo nos Estados Unidos correu bem, levou poucos dias, tive informação no site da UPS que tiveram que corrigir o endereço (talvez alguma linha não esteja no campo certo). Mas o problema está no tempo que leva a sair de Portugal. A nossa encomenda depende de outras encomendas. E para um custo tão elevado, não compensa o tempo. Mas de resto correu bem, o pedido chegou correcto, completo, inteiro e ao meu cliente. Eles podem demorar um pouco mais de 24h a responder aos emails, mas respondem, e por isso recomendo na mesma, mas para quem não tiver muita urgência. Quem tiver muita urgência, paga mais, embala conforme dá e envia por outros lados. Aqui tenho a certeza que chega e chega direitinho e é embalado devidamente, mas numa próxima que seja urgente chegar, vou ter que optar por outra empresa.

O pior serviço de entregas. Todas as encomendas vem com faltas. Se não conferir a GN não toma a iniciativa de avisar que faltam vinhos. É preciso solicitar um voucher para cobrir as faltas da encomenda. A GN nunca toma a iniciativa de enviar o voucher. Por ultimo, fazendo uma encomenda pagando com voucher, se não hover excesso a pagar, o software da GN cancela-a.

late delivery, nobody got in contact, ignored emails

I paid for next day delivery, and 4 days later I had to contact them to find out whats happening.
Apparently they cannot find the address - said that they had phoned although I did not receive any calls. They did not think to send an email either.
They just ignored my emails when I asked to get my next day delivery postage refunded.

Very decent, would order again

Placed three orders with Garrafeira National so far.

First order (about 20 bottles): got delivered (OWC included) within 1.5 week to the Netherlands, sadly one bottle was not available: got refunded within a week. two bottles (cheap ones) had some label damage but I have not contacted the Garrafeira as I opened them and they were just fine.

Second order (7 bottles): got delivered within 1.5 week to the Netherlands, sadly one bottle was not available: got refunded within a week.

Third order (49 bottles): everything got delivered within 1.5 week to the Netherlands. This time I enquired if everything as available before placing my order.

Customer service was really quick to reply, very polite as well.

Was quite nervous seeing other reviews, but my experience has been rather good so far; prices were really fair as well!

I have tried to contact the company

I have tried to contact the company to find out where my order is, as money has been taken from my account but no delivery date provided. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering.
It seems I will now have to contact my credit card company to chargeback the company.

Want to give them zero stars but…

Want to give them zero stars but cannot. Order placed in January did not arrive but the money was taken from my account. They will not answer emails or reply to posted letter. Avoid
