Green Measures 

Hi I had new glass put into my frames of which I am still waiting for my certificate to arrive. I am giving you 3 days to get back to me or I will be contacting the ombudsman I have tried phoning but it just cuts me off after a guy says the call will be recorded

I’ve had around £20,000 of work undertaken by Green Measures since my mortgage was paid off after the death of my husband in 2020. Investing in the house while I have the cash as I envisage selling at some point. Every job done has required a return visit to fix problems, but the final experience was devastating. I paid over £5,000 to have my roof cleaned and coated to improve insulation. Soon after this work (in April this year) Green Measures went into liquidation. Subsequent work picked up by Just Glass, who appear to have most of the same staff working for them. Less than 2 months on my skylight was leaking. Just Glass said it was nothing to do with them, as did the subcontractor who carried out the work. My roofer, who did a significant job of replacing tiles just 2 years ago, did a temporary fix on the skylight but showed me photos I’d substantial damage to areas of the tiles up there. I’m waiting for an estimate of cost to fix the damage. Just Glass now tell me that will put it right for a 65% reduction of cost price as it wasn’t done properly in the first place . How do they know this? I’ve contacted Citizens Advice and the liquidator. My bank say as I paid by Cheque and bank transfer they can’t pursue a charge back. Lesson leaned - any further work will be paid for by card or I’m not interested. I am furious and going to the press and small claims if this has any point. Now I’ve read these reviews I feel exploited and take for a fool. Oh, by the way, scaffolding put up for a subsequent job contacted to Green Measures, for which I doubt I’ll get a guarantee, is STILL in my back garden nearly 3 months after it arrived. My roofer can’t access the roof to fix it until it’s removed, and I can’t access part of my garden. I am very upset and angry about this.

company now in liquidation so we wont get anything! despite a 10 yr guarentee and a letter to the reciever i am left with a faulty door which my safety and security is compromised i am a disabled pensioner and i have not got money to replace! where do i go from here??????

Green Measures refused to answer after taking deposit and then were unable to do the work. . Did not respond to county court so CCJ awarded against them, still no responce. Got an order for them to attend court to answere, then got letter telling me they have filed for liquidation. G Caine the director of the company still runs 9 or 10 other companies from the same office and his home just round the corner from the office. It stinks.

Quality of goods 100% perfect, quality of fitters 100% perfect. Quality of managers/company 0%. Has issues getting job done. Had wrong items delivered, had promises from management 0% so many lies. Still awaiting fixtures that was wrong colour.
Shame the fitters will get a bad name if they stay with this management.

I have had a double glazed window, a new front door and a canopy supplied and fitted. The window is good with a good quality frame, mahogany look to the outside with white frame internally. I also had a new front door fitted.The brickwork that the door fits into is very amateur this caused initial fitting problems. I had to wait a couple of weeks for this to be sorted out but the fitters overcame the problem. The door is beautiful.( Mahogany look with coloured and beveled glass and lead beading.) . A canopy completes the look and covers the 'wonky brickwork. It now looks really 'classy'.It completely disguises the previous botched brickwork eyesore.

I have been trying to get my guarantee fit two doors fitted in October last year. Also trying to get a receipt for my money, but so far nothing is forthcoming, thinking of contacting HMRC as this is obviously some sort of tax scam as had to pay money into two separate bank accounts

Bad Mistake..! Putting a deposit down before deciding to read some reviews. Although it was a cold call, which caught us off guard.
The day after, I tried to cancel the cheque as well as cancel the contract, but to no avail. After emails, letters, and phone calls I'm now taking them to a Small Claims Court. Yes I'll win, but will I get my money back, Probably not..

This company doesn’t even deserve one star! I am a 68 year old pensioner who used them to clad my home with shiplap. It took 3 times for them to turn up to start the job last June after I said that if the work wasn’t started I was cancelling my order with them. They turned up on a Friday and started the job. On the Monday they turned up with the wrong cladding and I haven’t seen them since. I took the company to court and won the case. Of course they didn’t comply with the court order and I had to send the bailiff in to recover £8,500.

It became quickly obvious that the call we received from you on the 17th January 2022 was just more than a follow up call, it turned into a sales pitch. After numerous attempts in saying we do not want to purchase anything else as we do not have the funds to, the sales assistant still kept on pressing matters. e have now made it abundantly clear we do not wish to buy anything from this company. Their frequent calls on the subject have become a nuisance, and causing great distress. If a representative calls us again we will be forced to consider further action to stop this nuisance.
Secondly We are already questioning the level of efficiency of the windows we have put in, and putting in place for a separate investigation to be done of the quality of them, and if it is not of the quality that they should be, there will be further action taken.

Well looks like this company has scammed many people along with a family member of mine.
They know exactly what they are doing. Take deposit by cheque because they know there’s no chance of you getting your money back. False promises that a “cheque is in the post”.
Advertise the Financial Ombudsmen on their website for complaints but can’t use them unless there’s a credit agreement.
The bank can’t claim the money back due to them being a limited company.
The company has changed its name on numerous occasions.
The owner has many different companies operating from the same address.
The final nail in the coffin is the company status on companies house is “active proposal to strike off” as there’s been no recent accounts submitted. Says it all really. I’m devastated for everyone that has been a victim of this company.

I agreed to have work done to secure my roof before the winter but cancelled the contract the following day as, on reflection, thought it was too expensive. However I had paid a deposit which I am struggling to recover. I have phoned at least 6 times always to be told that the person answering is only an installer and has no contact with the accounts department. I have written twice to the Chester head office with no response in spite of their contract stating that deposits would be refunded. It is like banging ones head against a brick wall. This company is verging on the criminal as it retains money that legally belongs to the customer. I would never recommend them to anyone. KEEP AWAY!

Impossible to get the guarantee for the work done off this company, they keep saying they will send it out and then dont bother, very poo customer service.

I would put a zero if I could. This company now has a CCJ issued against them as they refuse to return my deposit. Their representative took great pleasure in showing me the house and huge grounds that he had bought. No wonder you can afford to do things like that Andrew. Ripping people off. If you want to use them (and I would strongly advise against it) don't part with a penny until the job is completed to your satisfaction. I expect that they will go bust just like the last company that Andrew worked for (he told me that he had bought into the company). They were called Samurai and, in spite of paying in full, I never got a guarantee for my windows and doors that they installed. DON'T USE THEM!!

I have had enough 'Green Measures' a file has been created with Citizens Advice and i have just completed a complaint form with Trading Standards.
I gave a deposit March 2021 for a patio door, it is now December.
I have called multiple times for a delivery date and the main excuse is 'being stress-tested' and you will call me back.
I have sent an email to your customer services stating the stress this is now causing and still no reply.
I have completed your 'Complaints form' twice now and still no reply.
22/12/2021 Still haven't heard from Green Measures so i have:
Contacted and held several conversations with Chris Matheson the labour MP for CH1 1DA regarding your company and all complaints raised on Trustpilot.
Completed the 'Green Homes Grant' Complaint from listed on the Government website, listing your company, the financial deal you offered and the current situation i am now in.

No stars for this company - my elderly dad has been waiting for a refund on his deposit for over six months. When contacted they always say its in hand but no refund appears. Don't do any business with them.

I have had a great experience with green measures.
I was immediately sent a inspector around to check efficiency of my windows. I thought the price was reasonable for having 10 year guarantee and A rated glass.
I agreed to have all windows done.
They rang to say when a srveyor would come and they were professional and informative.
The windows were fitted on the date arranged. The glass fitter were polite, experienced. No mess and I am please with the results. If it saves on heating cost it's a winner in my opinion.

Just spent under £5,000 on a upgrade of glass only to listen to the wind howling through them called the customer service number and told it will me 2 weeks before they can send out a fitter this is how bad the firm is

Just had a follow-up call from Green Measures regarding an inspection visit of the 3 window installation done earlier in the year & the issue of an 'energy rating certificate' (?). I asked if this was a sales call - "no". It then became clear that it WAS a sales call, I became 'cross,' caller became more 'cross', swore at me & ended conversation. Awaiting follow-up call from Co. after I complained - I'm of the belief I won't get that call.

I read the negative reviews and think they are talking about a different company. My experience was fantastic. Windows have made a difference to noise already. Really pleased with installer's. They knew there stuff. Thanks Anthony and Lee
