GO Outdoors - Lancaster (Express) Avis 

I went into Lancaster store today to ask advice on wearing my rucksack properly as I have been having trouble with my shoulders. Lewis and Simon couldn't have been more helpful. They were patient and very informative. Thanks guys

We were looking for hiking sticks and were doubting between two sets. Simon gave us a very detailed professional explication with pro’s and contra’s. He gave us some extra walking tips in the lake district. What a lovely shop and very friendly salesmen! Very happy customers from Belgium :)

Great little shop with knowledgeable and helpful staff and a good selection of products for the size of the shop. I went in to ask about re-waterproofing my tent and Simon set me up with the products I needed and advised against ones that weren't required.

Simon helped me return a faulty product and gave me advice on other alternatives. Very helpful

Visited the Lancaster GO Outdoors Express store on 11/06/2026 and was served by Henry and Simon. Before visiting the store, I hadn’t had any prior experience buying camping gear and hadn’t really done any research online, so I wasn’t sure which would be the best gear for my specific needs and budget. However, when I visited the store last Thursday, Henry and Simon couldn’t have been more helpful. They were great in explaining the variations between the different products and their respective features, and which would be most suitable for my needs and budget. They even kindly provided a useful setup and packing down demonstration for some of the items that I had been unsure about, which gave me confidence in my purchase and was really helpful for when I used the gear whilst camping over the following weekend. Prior to visiting, due to it being a smaller ‘express’ store, I wasn’t sure whether it would have a sufficient range of products. However, I found that it had a solid selection, containing everything I needed- also including useful items which I hadn’t even thought about. During my visit, the staff were friendly, patient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend visiting this store.

Fantastic service, the staff were very helpful and had a great wealth of knowledge.

Excellent service. Knowledgeable, knew the specifications of the shoes they stocked including what would suit me best( width, early bunions etc). Also relative waterproofness between brands and quality differences.

I visited the Lancaster store today and was welcomed by Henry and Simon.
I needed to return an item which I'd bought in a different branch (which must be a bit annoying) and they were very helpful.
I then enquired about different product which they were also very pleased to help with. In my opinion both members of staff went above and beyond to provide great service and they made my shopping experience a pleasant one. I would highly recommend the Lancaster branch of Go Outdoors to anyone looking for outdoor gear at competitive prices.

First of all can I say Lewis and Henry were working probably the hottest bank holiday of the year. They were in a good mood and helped me with my purchases would recommend class set of lads . So happy to have a go outdoors on my doorstep
