GO Outdoors - Launceston Avis 

Sally was amazing and helped both myself and my daughter into new hiking boots. Thank you.

I needed a waterproof coat to replace a leaking old coat. Jack, Kayleigh and Sally all helped.
Staff were easily available on hand to assist. I was asked my price range and the specifications I wanted. I was shown a number of ladies garments. Jack had to reach them down for me as they were well beyond my reach. I tried some on but they were more jacket than coat length and too narrow at the hip. I was not keen on the colour choices either. One of the assistants suggested men’s are often a better fit as they are straight and the colour choices were better too. Apparently lots of ladies choose men’s coats for these reasons.
In the end I had a choice of 2 colours in the same coat, both were nice. I chose and purchased one of the coats.
Jack Kayleigh and Sally all helped me make my own choice. They were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Without advice I would have only looked at the ladies waterproofs and not considered the men’s selections. I would also have quickly tired because I could not reach any of the coats I wanted to look at.
Jack, Kayleigh and Sally were a credit to the Go Outdoors company.

I went into the Launceston store today as I have made an order online last night (30/11/25). I had purchased items for delivery to this store be believing they would arrive the next day. After realising they may not arrive until the following Saturday, I spoke with the manager Linzi to see how I could resolve this issue. Linzi couldn’t have done more to help me resolve this issue, and I left the store with my new coat on my collection order being cancelled. This store has amazing staff who are helpful, friendly and go the extra mile. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a more helpful Go Outdoors store in all the years that I’ve been a customer. Thank you Linzi, you’re amazing!

I went in for walking boots (mainly) and a couple of other items.
Within minutes of arriving at the footwear section, Mandy asked if I needed help and then proceeded to show me a variety of different boots, fetching several pairs in my size to try and was very knowledgeable about the different makes. She was extremely helpful and attentive and I found the perfect pair. To top it off, she took them to the till for me so I could do the rest of my shopping without lugging them around.

Todat was my second visit in Go outdoors store , this time in Launceston ..

I purchased today 2 water resistant windproof winter coats the Edge company.
Quality of this jackets are amazing , very warm well made and fit for purpose to go for holiday in Poland .
Emilia who help us find the correct one was very friendly good customer service.
Also have warm winter hat from this store .
Very happy again and ill definitely come back for more good quality and good for money deals .
Very satisfied and ill recommend this store to everyone who needs some good range of winter clothing this time of the year .

Brilliant service from staff here as usual. However, JD Sports who own GoOutdoors seem to have a massive disparity between men and women's coats. I was looking for a gortex raincoat. Women had about half the choice of men. Just Berghaus and one other brand. Very much felt like inequality. Or that JD Sports think women don't need protecting from the elements....,

Very helpful members of staff both Linzi and Jack were very good . Jack was very knowledgeable and helped me find some particular items and when we couldn`t find my size of my requested trousers he checked the stock else where and they were ordered for me.

I recently visited the Lanson store, the staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. I would have no hesitation in going there again

Great advice and support from Kayleigh and Jack when I was looking at walking shoes.
Very happy with the pair I bought after trying on about 7 pairs.
Took a friend there a couple of weeks later for walking boots. Same great service.

I asked for a walking boot, size 10 wide fit as my previous boots had started to leak. The assistant provided me a pair of Scarpa Rangers. Felt ok in the store. Walked around the house a bit and still seemed ok. Then went out for a 5 mile walk. At this point the boots started to feel uncomfortable. Bit surprised at this and in return home checked the box and they were a 9.5!! 44 continental size. Didn’t expect that and now cannot return as they have been worn outside. Annoying and a costly mistake.

Got a pair of terrex walking boots last week, great help from staff Charlene and linzi two helpful and friendly members of staff

Brilliant experience in Go Outdoors, Launceston, yesterday. Charlene assisted my grandaughter and I in buying clothing and equipment for her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh challenge. We were given friendly professional advice. Charlene's knowledge and understanding of the items we required was outstanding. Her rapport with my 14 year grandaughter was excellent. Thank you so very much. I can definitely reccomend this store. ⁰

Went in store with my wife to purchase some walking shoes for her.
We were helped by Charlene who was so professional and helpful. She is a credit to the company.
Purchased shoes but to early to review them but will definitely use the store again.
