I was looking for some equipment as I was taking my blind friend camping .. as soon as I entered the store with Matt (he has a cane) I was greeted by a lovely chap called Stuart who was so welcoming and helpful it prompted me to write a review. He spent a good half hour with us and showed us all that we needed even showed us some good value deals that met our needs .He proceeded to guide us to the register where he introduced us to the lady behind the counter. Stuart said"there you go lads Lydia will look after you now".She did and we left the store happy as Larry ..well done the go outdoors team your customer service was first class and we shall return.

I was looking for some Oakley sunglasses but there weren’t many on display. Nikki went out of her way to help me find a pair which were perfect. Nikki was extremely helpful and professional and gave me excellent customer service.

Excellent service from Jonathan with footwear for my husband. We asked for his help and advice and it was freely given. We were convinced our membership card had expired but the chap on the checkout checked into it and found that it was still valid so £5 saved. Thanks

We had a friendly gentleman called James who assisted today in the Taunton store. No trying to upsell or pushing to purchase, just helped us find the right boots for us.
He helped us find 4 new pairs of walking boots for the family, incredibly patient and knowledgeable.
The store itself is extremely well equipped with a large section.

I came to go outdoors looking for a backpack and a reservoir with no idea what they were called and where to find them. One staff member, Lin, was super helpful finding the items and talking through which ones were more suited for me. Would definitely recommend other friends getting their hiking gear from here.

Stuart, Dan and Nath went above and beyond customer care to sort an online order problem which wasn't dealt well through Blacks customer care. Stuart spent time solving the issue to success and massively helped us to get the items we needed.

I was looking to buy a pair of hiking shoes from the Taunton branch. I needed some advice and was helped by a member of staff called Jonathan. Most insightful and knowledgeable member of staff. Purchased a pair of Scarpa shoes. Have used them now for 3 days and walked about 30 miles. They are great .fantastic service, 5 stars
