Great service

What a joke of a shop staff are clueless no one approaches to help you then the staff you eventually find don’t have a clue about products that the shop sells

Very helpful staff
Whilst making a return of an online purchase and then subsequently buying some Bridgedale socks, I encountered two really helpful young men (customer sales) who were a pleasure to deal with. (Socks also excellent.) So, a very happy customer!

Julie was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable without being too pushy. When I asked about price matching a competitor she was able to accommodate. First class service. The guy on the till was also very helpful. I would use this company again.

i entered the store very confused about what i was wanting and John paul also known as JP , came up to me and my boyfriend and was very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. He was very considerate and at good at welcoming us and overall he helped me find what i was looking for . He is a very lovely kind man , thank you so much JP

Went to the Gateshead store this evening. Had a bit of an issue with my loyalty card not being recognised. Terry sorted this out for me without issue. I would highly recommend this go outdoors store, and Terry as an individual if you are looking at the fishing gear. Top marks. Thank you.

My daughter and I spent ages in Go Outdoors in order to find the right hiking shoes and rucksack for her adventure to New Zealand....Anthony and Max were incredibly helpful. They knew their products and helped us to narrow the search down to what we really needed. There was no pressure just genuine support and it was really appreciated. Thank you.

The first tent I bought was faulty and…
The first tent I bought was faulty and had to be returned
The store didn’t have a replacement
I ordered the second tent on line
I never received it after 8 day I called to be told it’s lost or stolen by the delivery company
I would have to receive a refund which could take 5-10 days and then they couldn’t order the 3rd tent I would have to do that myself
So very disappointed with the whole experience not only did my first camping experience get ruined and only last one night
I missed the second as I didn’t have a tent even though it was paid for but was stolen or misplaced by the delivery company
Highly disappointed I would find it very hard to use go outdoors again

While parcels do occasionally become lost in transit, we fully understand how frustrating this is when you are waiting for an order that you have already paid for. We are also sorry that your initial tent developed a fault and that a replacement was not available in store.
We appreciate that the combination of these issues resulted in a poor experience and led to the cancellation and refund of your second order. This is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide, and we apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment caused.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback will be shared with the relevant teams as we continue to review and improve our processes. We hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide a much better experience in the future.

awesome customer service
awesome customer service, friendly staff who are very knowledgeable and happy to help out when I was picking out fishing gear, definitely recommend getting equipment for the outdoors here and highly recommend spending the extra £5 on the yearly membership as it pays off pretty much immediately.

Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
I've just returned to coarse fishing after many years away from the bank and visited Fishing Republic in GoOutdoors Team Valley, Gateshead to look for a good, all round rod for both river and still water float fishing. Thankfully Darren was on shift. He talked me through the various options available in terms of quality, pros and cons, and price. His expert and friendly advice completely helped me to choose a fabulous new rod and reel.

I shop both online and instore
I shop both online and instore. Your Gateshead branch is close to where I work. For jackets and fleeces I like to try them on, because I take a L or XL depending on brand and activity. For other stuff I tend to buy online. Staff at Gateshead are very helpfull.
