Highly recommend Headwater
I've used Exodus several times in the past, however this was my first 'self guided' holiday through their sister company, Headwater.
Headwater were excellent from start to finish. Great communication and always helpful when I called them with questions.
The Headwater App was excellent as well. Easy to use and navigate and no need for an internet connection as long as you've downloaded the app before you set off on holiday.
We will definitely be using Headwater again and are already thinking about our next 'self guided' trip.
Would highly recommend.

Great walking holiday. Superb organisation of transport and accommodation. Self guided walks were easy to follow and graded well to meet our ability. Real value for money- we'll definitely use Headwater again!

Wonderful cycle holiday in Mallorca. Headwater quickly organised our trip as we were booking last minute. Friendly service. The cycles were good quality and well serviced. All transfers and luggage moved happened as expected and on time. We stayed in 4 excellent hotels - good service and good food in all of them.

Wonderful Sicily cycling holiday
Just returned from the Headwater secrets of Sicily cycling trip with four in our group. So glad we went in April as we had fantastic weather and the spring flowers and bird life everywhere along the routes made for such a beautiful and scenic trip. The electric bikes were very good and made the trip manageable for our abilities. Very impressed with the character of the majority of the hotels particularly the Hotel Carmine in Marsala. The roof terrace with small pool and bar on the top of the hotel Room of Andrea also a nice feature.
It’s worth booking a tour of the Pelligrino winery in Marsala as it is still family run and it is a good tasting tour. They offer an 11am English speaking one daily. We found local restaurants near to the hotels in the evenings where we had excellent Italian food and although lunch stops were a bit tricky to find we ate at a few places where the locals had lunch and speaking a bit of Italian here was very useful. The historical sites of Segesta and day out at Erice were fascinating and impressive. Very enjoyable week and made us want to see more of Sicily.

A great walking trip to Malta and Gozo
Headwater offer a great choice of trips for walkers and cyclists. We love the Headwater navigation app enabling us to walk independently with confidence in places that are new to us. It was really well planned
It was really well planned. All of the information was easy to follow once downloaded to my phone. Coonty Kerry is a beautiful place. All of the guest houses were lovely with really nice and welcoming hosts.

App improves walking experience hugely
Excellent walking route in a more remote part of Andalucia. Varied and enjoyable accommodation along the way. The app is much better than only written instructions and improves walking experience hugely. Good to have a local point of contact and single supplement was reasonable.

A fantastic way to do a walking holiday…
A fantastic way to do a walking holiday in the beautiful Umbrian countryside. A slick luggage transfer service, a brilliant and accurate navigation app, and chance to wander through olive groves, vineyards, picturesque Italian towns, villages and up mountains with breathtaking views. Not for the fainthearted or those who don't like steep hills!

I was planning an anniversary trip for my wife and me, but unfortunately I was disappointed by communication from management, found to be unhelpful and left feeling undervalued. Based on my experience, I would have expected a more professional and considerate approach.

This was our third Headwater holiday
This was our third Headwater holiday, the route and hotels were very good with plenty of options for eating. The Majorca cycling lanes are wonderfully relaxing and in spring there is a lot of colour. Distances were very comfortable although not as many cafes en route as in Italy. Having three days where we could please ourselves or go on recommended circular rides is very relaxing in only having to repack half the number of times.
We had problems with our gear shifting and the local rental company came and fixed my wife’s bike, but mine still required subsequent attention which I organised direct, the company was 500 metres from our hotel.
Transport including flights, transfers and luggage moving was all very efficient.
But for the bike this would have been 5 star.

Another top quality holiday with…
Another top quality holiday with Headwater in Arctic Lapland. Hotel Yllas Humina provided excellent accommodation and outstanding food, including many local delicacies.
There are facilities for a wide range of winter sports, with miles of beautiful, well groomed trails for x-country skiing.

Headwater holiday: Seville to Cadiz
Headwater communication is excellent. We really enjoyed our holiday. It was very well-organised and updates and assistance was always close at hand. The majority of our hotels were excellent: a real treat. The app was excellent albeit heavy on battery. The places we stayed in again were mostly lovely interesting historic towns. Seville, Carmona, Arcos and Cadiz are all great places. We found some of the cycling a bit too straight and flat. Leaving a large city like Seville is never going to be great and it wasn’t. But we also had some lovely rides. We also appreciated the taxi ride when one of the routes was waterlogged!

Great organisation, planning, knowledgeable and professional.
They organised/planned everything for me. Kept me informed. Looked into and adapted all changes etc I wanted to make. Responded to my emails quickly ie either that day or next day.
As a solo female travel I felt safe using this company.
My suitcase was exactly where it should be every hotel stop. Accommodation at every stop they used was fantastic. Headwater even supplied an excellent guide book/Camino Pilgrim Stamp Booklet that was waiting for me at my first hotel.

Perfect for cross country ski ing and mountain walking
We had a brilliant week at the Park Hotel Bellevue in Dobbiaco in the Dolomites. Headwater staff were very helpful in helping us to choose where to go. The hotel staff were super friendly and the food was superb. Dobbiaco has great facilities for cross country ski ing and we also enjoyed several guided walks with crampons and snow shoes in the mountain forests. On one evening we did a night walk under the full moon around the frozen Dobbiaco Lake. Magical! The hotel gave us a free train pass allowing us to visit some of the nearby pretty towns in the valley. We had a fabulous week and highly recommend this area.
