My experience at HGVT;
I passed my Class 1 yesterday and HGVT have been brilliant all throughout the process! Isaac was great and sorted things really quick to get the ball rolling.
Definitely recommend these if you're looking to do your Hgv training.

We have tried to reach out and gather more information from you so that we can address any issues that you may have had in dealing with us. However you have declined to respond, which is concerning as most genuine customers have found our dedicated customer service team helpful if they have had negative experiences.
In our advertising and sales calls we are upfront about our prices, which vary depending on the package of support and training that you need. A training centre may charge a little less, but they will only provide you with a practical training package. For most people this is not sufficient.
Our prices include a driver's medical, access to our professionally designed training software, your theory tests, your practical driver training, and your certificate of professional competency. Everything you need to get out on the road in a good driving job. We also have an exclusive partnership with Manpower so you know that that job is easier to find if you train with us.
We also have a dedicated support team of expert advisers who will guide you through the process and we are Ofsted inspected, which many driver training schools cannot say, so you can be confident that we are delivering the best possible training and experience to our customers.
We understand that what we offer was not right for you. However, we do not feel that a one star review for a service you chose not to purchase is fair.
THEY TOLD ME I CANNOT DO IT!!
I started my training with HGVT everything went well theory, CPC muddle 2 and 4 until started driving trining at RSM, my first day when I started driving I make couple mistakes, after that,
my driver instructor always screaming and swearing at me that make me nervous I keep making more mistakes then he told the office RSM he will never go out with me so the lady in the office RSM said they gonna cancel my trining I said are you gonna refund my money she said she didn’t thinks so they will. She told me they will contact my agency HGVT and told them what happened. So after 2 days I contacted HGVT what they gonna do next are they gonna refund me or they gonna find another trining centre? Whenever call them they put me on hold I call them over and over always put me on hold. Then I found another trining centre that is JSM 5 days trining I passed now I have my class licence.
BUT MY DRIVER INSTRUCTOR TOLD I WILL NEVER GET MY DRIVER LICENCE EVEN IF I TRY TO I WILL REGRET, AS TRINER OR TEACHER SHOULD HELP PEOPLE TO GET THEY DREAM!!

They do what they say but they make it…
They do what they say but they make it sound very easy, I had to change from a class 1 to a class 2 otherwise retest was very expensive and you have to do it through them.

Updated review of HGVT - 23/6/25
I had a mixed experience with HGVT. My initial review was entirely negative. However, after discussing my concerns further with the complaints department, I wanted my experience to be reflected In my review and so have edited it accordingly. I would like to add, that my complaint was processed quickly and dealt with promptly and professionally.
It was about 5 months from the date i paid my deposit, to the date i took my test. This process was delayed on a couple of occasions due to availability, but I still passed within 6 months. I will say that the tachograph isn't included in the total cost. Also, although Manpower are there to help you get into your first HGV role, they can't promise they'll have a job ready and waiting for you when you pass.
My advice would be to ask all your questions first and be realistic about timescales to avoid any potential disappointment.

Only negatives was that the practical training centre wasn’t the best, nice people but facilities and trucks aren’t great and not very professional and I was told if I had come direct I could have gotten it nearly £1000 cheaper. I could have paid what I did pay and gone with a training provider like Colsons and everything is a lot more professional and better facilities and trucks
