hmv (UK) - Kingston Avis 

I was after a hard to find DVD. They had it, it was cheap and delivered, to the store, quickly.

Very helpful and informative staff, the item I wanted was not in stock at the store, but Brendan at the Kingston store found it online and ordered it for me. It was delivered to my door within a week.

Friendly staff and extremely helpful

Great price on the cd I ordered better than Amazon or EBay

From Brendan xclnt service in Kingston, to free delivery of record player (no way I was getting that home on my bike;-! to easy assembly & great full sound on playing my wife’s 80s vinyl for the first time, since, well, probs then 😎

I was gifted a special edition vinyl for Christmas that was scratched. The staff processed my return swiftly and when there wasn't another copy in stock had it delivered first class to my house instead! I was served by Cain who was very personable and knowledgeable, I've been weaning myself off of Amazon and am so thrilled to have HMV back in Kingston.

Good selection of vinyl, but the shop is very untidy, needs simplifying.
ALSO, i was ordering from abroad to a family member in England. The site would not let me create a profile for me - then one for the recipient - the result being, my name cropped up on the delivery label!! This could have gone very badly!
If you are a proper business HMV, you need to make this a lot better!

Super efficient staff in the Kingston branch, they were very professional and knowledgeable as well as friendly. The manager’s customer service was excellent. He has an extensive knowledge of his products and manages a really great team of people. We had a very positive experience. Something that sadly doesn’t happen too often in other shops on the high street.

Everything from choosing the vinyls to order, to ordering then collecting was great. You get regular emails throughout the whole ordering process which makes it easy and it’s always reliable as I’ve ordered/ collected a couple of times now from HMV.

The team was absolutely great! We had to return an item as it was not compatible with our sounds system at home. Due to the fact that we had received a very good service from Cain W. during the initial purchase, we decided to buy a different model of that item from also from HMV but online. I am also extremely grateful to one of their staff for chasing me with my debit card after I left it in the payment machine on a different occasion at the same store in Kingston. The decency and honesty is rare nowadays so I was pleasantly surprised that I someone went that extra mile to find me and return my card ( it was a guy with dark blond long hair- I am sorry I do not know his name).
I highly recommend the HMV Kingston Upon Thames store. Thank you to all the staff for being so kind.

Answer my questions straight away not faffing about. And if I asked about a item they would shom me the way or where it was located. Staff were very kind and helpful and always in a good mood.

Nice to see HMV back in Kingston and other areas. Can't beat a browse around the shops just like the 70s and 80s. long may it continue for you.

Very helpful assistant went to a lot of trouble to find out about the CD I wanted and to order it for me to collect in store.

Staff we knowledgeable and friendly. But I was over charge by the computer till. I did not spot this because of email receipt.

Originally ordered boxed set online. Amount was debited from my credit card.
Next morning my credit card was recredit amount of the box set order.However I did not receive a email confirmation of order cancellation.

Went into HMV store Kingston and saw boxed set at 5 pounds less than the online price so purchased the boxed set.

Two days later HMV debited my Credit card the amount of the boxed set that I tried to order and HMV had recredited my credit card.

Two days later I received box set in the post. So I had two boxed sets.

Took the boxed set back into Kingston store for a credit. Then the till assistant pointed out that the boxed set was marked as 39.99 but there point of sale system had charged me 44.99. Manager apologised and staff were pleasant in the store.

However the online experience was appalling.

My husband was so happy with the DVD. I ordered for him for Xmas
