Didn’t fancy risking delivery to door from experience of damage for other goods by post recently. So used hmv click and collect as was an LP gift. York store were very friendly and service great.

You left the security tag on the bag I…
You left the security tag on the bag I bought and there's no hmv store close so had to take the bag in town then go ask in different stores if they could remove the tag which one store did after showing the receipt

Great value, local value-added. Friendly in-store service
Cheaper than a well-known ... marketplace, with an easier to access warranty should it prove necessary. But they're JBL which has been fine previously. Friendly, trouble-free collection from our local bricks and mortar HMV, supporting our high street. Wired headphones support our daughter's journey of vinyl discovery, and match the colour of her turntable. Which seems important.

In general I am pretty happy with HMV
In general I am pretty happy with HMV. The product delivered matched the description and your staff are pretty knowledgeable.
There are one or two things to improve on though-firstly your shop in York looks pretty tired and run down- a bit of a refresh would make it look a bit nicer, some bright colours like lime green would be nice and stop it looking like a goth kids bedroom. A few windows/light would be nice. Also the CD was pretty expensive with the delvery fee added in and took a while to arrive. Also whenever I buy a CD in person there are never any medium sized plastic bags. Just massive huge ones that are ridiculously large.
Still I will happily give HMV or any other UK based retailer my money rather than Jeff Bezo's and his tax dodging firm. I feel like I speak for the entire UK when I say this- screw Jeff Bezo's and amazon. Long may HMV endure.
