Your Survey Ltd Avis 

They arranged to survey a property for us on 29/9/20. Took our money. Didn't turn up, rearranged for the 6/10/20. As of 19/10/20, the sale has fallen through because I couldn't get the survey done, and still no sign of the report. Have no idea who the surveyor was supposed to be. Don't go with a company like this, go direct.

Do not use this company! Instructed this company to carry out homebuyers report, given a number to phone to make payment. They did not answer on several occasions, ended up giving up and going with another company. It's a premium rate phone number so large phone bill this month and I didn't even get anywhere with the company.

I wish I had read the reviews on here before instructing a survey via this company.

What can I say-very quick to arrange the survey and take my money. Then had to chase, chase, chase to finally get it at the final hour before the 10 day deadline. The report was 80-90% regurgitation of standard terms and caveats and property specific items were vague. Very disappointing. And I'd take the 4-5 star reviews with a large pinch of salt.

Excellent company. Was contacted within seconds after going on a comparison website to find a local surveyor, I was very impressed with the prompt response so I decided to instruct your survey.

After providing my details the inspection was then booked for the following week, within 24hours from instruction!

I have just received my report today and I’m very pleased with the outcome, despite waiting 8 working days for the report to be produced I must say it was well worth the wait, very detailed. Thank you

This is my second time using your survey, The staff are very friendly and helpful. The report itself was easy to read and had a lot of information that help with the purchase of my new property. We appointed Your Survey to do a building survey on a house we were looking to buy. The report was promised in 5-10 working days and took 10 days in the end. When we received the report, it was 19 pages of very generic information and didn't seem to be specific to the house at all. There were no photographs attached. We had paid extra for a building survey report rather than a homebuyer's as we wanted a more detailed inspection of the house and had concerns about a couple of issues which we asked the surveyor to look at for us. There was no mention of these issues in the report. We have since compared our report with those of friends and other building surveys seem to be much longer and a lot more detailed with photographs. Even a homebuyer's report seemed to be more detailed and informative. When we tried to contact Your Survey, they were difficult to get hold of then quite dismissive and tried to fob us off. We did eventually manage to get a refund after much complaining to the manager and have booked another survey with a recommended local surveyor. My advice would be to avoid this company!

I enquired online and received a call back which I missed. Called them back once I was free, was on the phone for 9 mins 13 seconds and charged £6.80 for the privilege! Should have been told I would be charged.

The report said there were solid ground floors when in fact most of the flooring was wood which in 2 accessible areas were mobile when stood on.
After purchasing the house I lifted the wooden flooring and the wooden beams and planks we’re completely rotten, at least half the floor and joists will need replacing.
I have yet to examine the mobile area in the second room mobile area of flooring
There is no contact number or name of the surveyor name on the report.
I would not have bought the house in this state.

Omg I instructed and paid for a buildings survey on 21st July I heard nothing so on 3rd August I phoned again to be told they'd written my email address down wrong so they'd correct it and resend all documents but the the survey had been carried out and i should receive the report by the 7th a few minutes later I received a receipt for payment and a covid statement on 11th August I'd still heard nothing so rang again to be told I can't have the report as I haven't signed the contract that they haven't sent yet and then argued with me that they'd sent it on the 3rd but seriously you don't receive 2 documents but the 3rd go to spam and I'm now away from home so no way to print and sign so no report that I've paid for not to mention the delay to purchase

Shocking company avoid at all cost.
Incredibly slow. Bad customer service. Do not use. go direct to a local surveyor and save yourself the stress of dealing with them. It might cost more but you’ll be glad you did.

Absolute joke....paid for full survey..vendor told me the guy that did the survey was in there for 10 minutes...should have been 2 hours...no photos either...twenty pages of nonsense that anybody could have wrote.I had to chase them to get the report...i am looking at taking this to the ombudsman. Do not use this company.

Worst Customer Service Ever! Found Them Through A Comparison Website And They Were The Cheapest. You Get What You Pay For! I’ve Chased Them Up To Book My Appointment, Chased Them Up To Make My Payment, Chased Them Up For My Survey Report (That I Still Haven’t Received) And They Turn A Blind Eye Each Time. Don’t Bother Using Them, Waste Of Time And Money And All The Effort Having To Call Them Constantly.

Don’t bother, customer service is non existent. Booked a survey and requested it was done on a Friday, they completely ignored that and gave dates for any day other than a Friday. Sacked them off in favour of a company who can actually give what the customer needs

Disappointed with such a sparse building survey, have had more detailed homebuyers reports. Errors made on obvious things like number of rooms, floor type, wall type was ambiguous. Didn’t ask seller to turn on taps, shower or boiler. Didn’t lift up loose carpet to inspect a floor crack I asked to inspect. Everything was ‘fine’ but no photos or detail to back this up. Almost like he’d not even been to the property. Just paid for another survey after this one as it wasn’t fit for purpose.

one of the horrible company . i chosen this company for carrying out building survey.
first the report came late and report has no information about the property . after reading the report it seems that the surveyor has just gone for walk into the property. the things which are visible from the naked eyes he simply ignored in the report. when i in quarry about that there simple response is they are not responsible for the survey as it is between you and the surveyor.
i paid extra to include the valuation of the property but there is no valuation information in the report.
i will suggest pay 10 extra but never choose this company for the survey

I chose Your Survey Ltd as they offered a good price for the survey I required. However, in this case I feel it is unfortunately a case of you get what you pay for.

Whilst I cannot comment on the quality of survey as of yet (as I am still awaiting), the time it has taken from the survey being carried out to me awaiting to receive the survey is very poor.

One thing I would say however, is that it is a quick turnaround from point of ordering to them being booked in at the property. The company themselves are also quick in responding to any queries or questions you may have. However, this efficiency is soon negated by the lack of promptness in receiving the report. I am assuming this is down to the individual surveyor carrying out the inspection. I would suggest that rather then being able to review the company themselves in the future, you should be able to review the surveyor and this is publicly displayed on the site to give individual accountability. I feel in this case, the company probably takes a battering on a lot of things they cannot control.

The survey was organised to happen within 7 days of booking/payment, and i received the report within 5 working days (over xmas). Plus the price was a lot cheaper than any of the local companies.
The only small thing id say, was when i rung them up on the number to book it, first time there was no answer, 2nd time it was answered with just a 'hello' no company name etc and the person seemed very hurried to get off the phone. Wasn't too professional.
Apart from that, no complaints from me.
