Expensive returns and slow exchange
I found a shirt that I loved for my spouse. We ordered it and paid expididited shipping (which took the affordable shirt to a much higher price range, but it was Christmas.) when it arrives 2 sizes to small we tried reaching them for over 2 weeks with no response. When we finally did reach them, they had us pay high shipping back to them, the repay shipping back to us. It took about 2 months to get the shirt back and we'll over double the cost. They were so slow with the return and so of course the holiday was missed. Very disappointed.

the shirt that you ordered was not 2 sizes too small. We sent the size that you ordered, but you had selected the incorrect size. The size ordered was again displayed when checking out and a conformation of your e-mail was sent immediately when you placed your order, confirming that you had ordered the size small and at no point before the order was shipped or delivered were we informed that this was incorrect.
Any gap in communication would have been around the holidays, our offices were closed from Dec 24-28, but we were available by e-mail at any time and our offices were open again on Dec 29/30 and again from Jan 4th. You called us on Jan 7th, and we promptly sent return instructions. We did not charge for exchange, however as this was not our error the shipping & handling on the new size was required to be paid. Equally, if the error was on our part, we would have taken care of the shipping/handling costs.
Your return was processed shortly after being received and instructions on how to complete the payment for shipping handling sent on Feb 2nd. This was not paid until Feb 9th. Once paid your new shirt was shipped promptly and delivered 3 days later on Feb 12th.
We are sorry that you were unhappy with your experience and we are continually working to reduce shipping costs, however the issue with the size was not our fault and we delivered the new size quickly and responded promptly to any communications received from you. Thank you for your feedback and we will take everything on board to try and improve our customers' experience in future.

Prompt & courteous service
Over the past year have place several orders with the Irish Shop. The last 2 orders were for sweaters for my wife. Immediately following my placing the last order for 2 sweaters, I received a call to confirm that it was not a mistake and that I actually did want 2 of the same item. I appreciated the call and confirmed the order and that my wife wears them quite frequently.

This is a wonderful idea, but it would be better if the land size was larger than a postage stamp...maybe a 12"x12" square. Just a thought.

Great Customer Service
Being proud of my Irish heritage, I wanted something special to give my son-in-law, who was recently diagnosed with cancer and undergone several surgeries and chemotherapy, for Christmas. My daughter told me that he had been looking for a watch. A watch! But it had to be a special watch. Over the past ten plus years I have worked diligently on our family tree and interlocking families. Both of our families came from Ireland in the 1700's. Therefore, I wanted to get two watches with our family crests on the face. On the internet, I found IrishShop.com and noted on their website that they have watches with family crests. Contacted them by email and ordered the two watches. They were so polite in their communicating and working with me, their customer service was 5-star excellent. Received the two watches after Christmas. Simple in design but with the correct family crest on both watches. Fantastic. My son-in-law was proud to receive it. I also printed his family tree from ancestry.com to go with the watch. I am keeping their website available and plan to make future orders from them. They are superb!!!
